    I’m not sure what show you’re watching. That was one of the best episodes of all time. Some of the best one liners, huge character developments from Hughy Snr, Frenchy, Ryan, Ashley, Victoria just to name a few. We saw Stan Edgar come back.
    The farm part was ridiculous and hilarious in a way that only the boys can deliver, think back to the guy who shrinks himself, or even the first episode. This is what the show is, if it’s not for you Marval might be better suited.

      Hi Greg! We actually agree on a lot of things character related. Well, besides the flying sheep. 😅 I still think that was beneath The Boys. But yes, Hugh Snr was the highlight of the episode. I'm interested to see where we're going with Ryan. And seeing Giancarlo Esposito back was such a plus! Frenchie? I'm so sorry, but his storyline still feels out of place. 🫤
      P.S.: Don't tell anyone, but I'm not a Marvel fan. 🙊😶‍🌫️

      It's totally OK to disagree. 😌 It was definitely an episode to watch with tissues close by.

    A couple of points. They already a hamster that was given the compound, so animals with powers was already established. Point 2 i think the people who created the Boys comics & the people who make tv show, these people hate the superhero genre. So satire, parody and political opinions play a big factor in this tv show. This show is still interesting to me, but we all have opinions.

      I remember the hamster and thought it was hilarious! Maybe it's why when they did the "sheep bit," I was kinda disappointed. Been there, done that.
      You totally nailed why I loved The Boys from the start! I'm not the biggest fan of superheroes, so when I found this show that's making fun of the genre AND inserting intellectual commentary, I was blown away. Maybe my expectations are really high, but I'm still rooting for the show. 🙏🏻

      @denisespieces4744 I'm sure you saw "diabolical", a series of cartoons on Amazon. I believe a lot of that material ties into this season. Also the last few seasons were just fine to me but the reason I see a decline in the quality of the Boys is because during season 1, the show was insulting the superhero genre, but now it seems like they making fun of the people watching the show.

      @startingover1 That's such an interesting point! I did enjoy when they made fun of Marvel & DC presentations by saying something like "we will show you all tiers in a very exhausting way." 😆 Such a dig at Marvel and the insane amount of content they feed the fandom. But I guess that leads it to you point when you said they're making fun of the audience now. Fascinating...

    • @startingover1

      @denisespieces4744 not just that. The show insults the supporters of the political right & the political left. They insult supporters of political parties & ideologies & they insult the Fandoms. The Boys is a very interesting "programming." Ironically, Eric Kripe is second cousin once removed to Saul Kripke, the famed analytic philosopher. Supporter of the Biden and Harris administration. Small world.

    If HL can fly, why cant sheep fly? There is literally nothing The Boys cant use as shock value. It is accepted as such. Execution however can vary.

      True. I heard next week's episode will be a naughty one, even for Boys standard, so I'm excited. 😁

    It was a bad episode. The characters had too many cartoonish one liners. I think the best part of the episode was Simon Pegg.

      I thought the same about some of the lines. When Frenchie said "This man is in no condition to fuck a sheep", I was like c'mon! Frenchie isn't this dumb. 🙄
      Simon Pegg, total mvp of the episode. 👏🏻

    This show went downhill fast after season 1. Season 5 will be the last season so we really don’t have time for all these random backstories & characters that we don’t care about. Nothing makes sense anymore. What is the conflict? Why are the boys still fighting Vought? At this point I don’t even know what the boys or Homelander want anymore. What is the end goal? Also Homelander is no longer threatening at all! He hasn’t killed or even hurt a member of the boys so there is absolutely no tension when they are on screen together. And how many times is this show going to show us HL going psycho on everyone BUT the boys??? We already saw HL covered in blood! They did that in season 2! Also why are they still wondering how to kill HL? Queen Maeve & the boys almost killed him last season so they know it can be done. Also do Hughie and Starlight even know each other anymore?? They barely speak to each other this season. And how strong are the Supes??? Some are bullet proof while others can be killed with guns or normal weapons…which makes them regular humans with special abilities. But what is really bothering me about this series is the Compound V use. In season 1 it was made very clear that Compound V was extremely dangerous & fatal. It only works in rare circumstances, that’s what makes the Supes special. Now ANYONE can take Compound V and be completely fine. This show is ruining itself. I’m not even going to mention the flying killer sheep.

    • @denisespieces4744
      @denisespieces4744  Месяц назад

      The killing sheep was SUCH a reach, I thought. And beneath The Boys, tbh.
      In my head, I think:
      1. The Boys are still trying to eliminate HL bc they don't want a dictator in charge. Butcher also has a personal reason bc he wants to take Ryan away from him.
      2. HL goal is power. He's hungry for it.
      I do think the show has become repetitive in some ways, and adding "out of nowhere" unnecessary storylines hasn't helped. Viewers are losing interest. My sister did. 🫤
      I heard next week's episode is going to be extra naughty, even by Boys standards. We'll see...

    • @s.w.d4010
      @s.w.d4010 Месяц назад

      @@denisespieces4744 We don’t see any scenes of HL trying to become a dictator. He hasn’t threatened the US government or any government in anyway. He hasn’t attacked the President or any world leader. We just see him terrorizing Vought employees which is getting very old and boring at this point. The Ryan storyline doesn’t make sense either. He literally grew up hating HL and Ryan saw HL grab his mother in an abusive way which activated his powers in order to defend her. So why is he so trusting of HL now??? And again what do the boys want? They could’ve killed HL last season but decided to attack Solider Boy instead because he hit Ryan…which everyone knows is a Supe and would’ve been fine. It just seems like this show has zero direction and is relying on shock value instead of good storytelling.
