Not so fast. We need to build New Jerusalem and have the 10 lost tribes come back and we have not but only begun suffering any tribulations.......much more misery to come first.
@1:02:35 This is like when Joseph said "western American tribes" when identifying ancestors of the Book of Mormon. Taken out of context you would think "Mexico" or "California" etc. but when Joseph said that "western American" was Ohio. Or when Joseph "all of AMERICA (not "america's") from the north to the south is where the Book of Mormon took place"- at the time it wasn't referred to as "south America", and if he was referring to both he would have said "all of the AmericaS". He never said that. He was referring to what we now call the hearthland of America to the east coast. "The great Russian bear" is the same story. It is also a second hand story, and you know what sounds a lot like "Russian"? "Prussia". What did Russia and Prussia look like on a map when Joseph said this? Did or did not these countries "eat" three other countries to make a new "stout" (short lived) country that in reality, very much so, put their "bear paw on the throat of the lion England"? Yes... It is also chronological with everything else Joseph said: 1. War with Mexico 2. Civil War 3. Prussia consumes 3 ribs, Germany now ar "elatively new nation, formed by the unification of several German-speaking kingdoms in 1871", wants more flesh 4. WWI-WWII 5. Israel reclaimed shortly after, the times of the gentiles over, the winding up scene begins
I believe America meant all of North and Central and South America in Joseph Smiths day. Look it up in the 1828 Noah Webster dictionary and you will see that is the case. This continued until well into the 1900’s. Furthermore, Columbus never set foot in North America so it cannot be the “promised land” unless you correctly view America and the Promised Land as all of North, Central, and South America. No question that the USA has a special role within the promised land though.

I’m a little curious as to how Russia is the little horn. The Russian bear is busy getting its clock cleaned by Ukraine. I noticed that this lecture was given in 1989, probably right before the fall of the Berlin Wall. I would love to have heard a follow up on that claim.
Let me share you a personal experience I had, as I served in The US Army. Since I had a top secret clearance then, I had to go to a class, which they called it: Espionage class. There, I saw all the “!Americans” that sold information to foreign countries, mainly Russia. Every year I started to noticed a pattern, The Russians had penetrated into the government and they are still trying to destroy America. Russia was the one who started the first conflict with Israel, by spreading lies to Egypt, which war is known as: The war of the six days. Where the Three Nefites and John The Revelator miraculously helped the Israelites at the time. You can find the details of this information in the book: The Three Nefites, by Bruce E. Dana.
Has anyone read the book 'A year with no rainbow.' The book says the 3 kingdoms or horns the little horn subdues are the 3 European nations that made up what we know today that colonized the American continent, the French(Canada), the British empire(USA), and Spain(central/south America). Keep in mind these 3 horns or kingdoms are described as being plucked out of their roots or motherland's(Europe). The United States of America is the little horn that grows out of those old Illuminati kingdoms, USA being a relatively young nation or horn compared to the other 3 grows to have the eyes of a human and a mouth to speak boastful things. Who or what nation in the world in the last days would be given enough power and influence to fit that description? The only nation would be the US of A. It seems that the USAs franchise of the Illuminati or DS (the beast) days are numbered. Fire, as it turns out will be its catalyst or maybe even literal way to it's demise. If the last 3 and a half years of Trump's presidency are anything to go by it's obvious trump is the only obstacle standing in the way of the Illuminati and their plans for america
Trump is no obstacle and never has been. He's one of them. Also you called the U.S. one of the 3 kingdom the Little Horn subdues and then say that it is the Little Horn. So it subdues itself? The U.S. has lost all credibility and power globally so the idea that we are this massive powerhouse that can fit the bill like no other is absurd. Israel is a little young nation that yields far more global power and control (and in fact controls the U.S.). China and Russia have control that is not waning and is often combined. I don't think there is anything in Visions of Glory that is true, that can't be found out by studying the scriptures and the words of the prophets. The risk is there may be things that aren't true. Additionally, whether it is true or not, truth revealed in the wrong way can lead away from God instead of closer to Him. Some truths are so precious that they are only to be learned by revelation from pondering the word of God from true messengers his ordained prophets. When done in this manner it comes by the power of the Holy Ghost which has a sanctifying effect on us. There is a temptation of curiosity and laziness to seek the mysteries of God from other sources. It's easier to read someone else's revelation than to pierce the veil and receive our own. Though more difficult, true humility, patience, penitence and diligence in seeking the word of God from the living prophet, brings wonderful and marvelous truths through personal revelation. Here are some recent invitations from the Lord's prophet President Nelson: “This is the grand privilege of every Latter-day Saint … that it is our right to have the manifestations of the Spirit every day of our lives." "I urge you to stretch beyond your current spiritual ability to receive personal revelation, for the Lord has promised that “if thou shalt [seek], thou shalt receive revelation upon revelation, knowledge upon knowledge, that thou mayest know the mysteries and peaceable things-that which bringeth joy, that which bringeth life eternal.” "Oh, there is so much more that your Father in Heaven wants you to know. As Elder Neal A. Maxwell taught, “To those who have eyes to see and ears to hear, it is clear that the Father and the Son are giving away the secrets of the universe!” "There is nothing easy or automatic about becoming such powerful disciples. Our focus must be riveted on the Savior and His gospel. It is mentally rigorous to strive to look unto Him in every thought. But when we do, our doubts and fears flee." "Faith in Jesus Christ propels us to do things we otherwise would not do. Faith that motivates us to action gives us more access to His power." "When you spiritually stretch beyond anything you have ever done before, then His power will flow into you." "In a coming day, only those men who have taken their priesthood seriously, by diligently seeking to be taught by the Lord Himself, will be able to bless, guide, protect, strengthen, and heal others. Only a man who has paid the price for priesthood power will be able to bring miracles to those he loves and keep his marriage and family safe, now and throughout eternity."

I read it and enjoyed it very much. The author and the subject are both very clear that they aren’t qualified to interpret the visions and that it may not happen exactly as seen or much of it might be symbolic rather than literal. In other words, consume the content with a grain of salt and don’t take it as gospel. With that made clear, I found the book inspirational. The little horn is the antichrist. He is lauded as a good thing at first because he takes out 3 of the 10 horns, but then the 7 join with him as he persecutes Israel. The 3 oppressive horns/rulers killed by the AC are rulers of America who step in once the executive branch is no longer functioning.
I love you Hyrum but the little horn is not Russia. The 10 horns already exist when the little horn shows up and Russia will be one of those 10 existing horns no doubt.
I was pretty much with you...right up until you indicated the beast of Daniel 7 are a recapitulation of the image in Daniel 2. They are not. Daniel 2 is a vision concerning sequential activities and Daniel interpretation of it makes that clear. The beasts in Daniel 7 are simultaneous and the first 3 continue after having their dominion taken. Consider, they are symbolic of Latter-Day (19 - 21 century) power structures: Lion or lioness (LXX) with Eagles wings: the great colonial powers whose reach and dominions are lost. Bear: The powers exercising military conquest or threat like The USSR, WW2 Axis nations, Germany, China. Leopard with 4 bird wings and heads: Association of nation from all points of the compass (4) which is GIVEN dominion. The Fourth Terrible Beast trampling all or seizing their power from which the little horn eventually comes. Thus We See the first beast of Rev. 13 is a composite of all the beast of Daniel 7 counting heads and wings and horns... Carrying The Scarlet Harlot, The Mother of Abominations, The Mother of the prfessors of the false understanding of the nature and purpose of God. Babylon the Great.
I am not happy with the narrow mindedness of only LDS elect will be fighting as saint of God. There are many very elect saints of other sects that will fight also. We are all brother and sisters of the same Father and if you follow Christ being Christians you are for rightousness. If you follow Satan tan you are Anti-Christs. And only God, Christ can judge the heart of man. Even an elect person may not right on this side of the veil but join the same right from the other side. Another point to consider is my what name I call God. Am I being brought to Christ by my tribe my post scripture that all are not aware of. Let's really stay focused on who the right is against and not so much as to identify the characters by one's perspective.
Good point. Even more applicable aimed at the Christians who don't like to include "LDS" people. I for one, hardly hear the lds being exclusive towards other Christians...
I agree. The kingdom of God includes all kingdoms. Anyone that takes upon them the name of Christ will be counted with him. Prayer and Faith bind us to him and we are his sheep. The religion is the method best used to receive all of the things we need to be able to return to God clean and pure. So those ordinances can be done later. When the end comes Christians wont be pushing members of the Church of Jesus Christ away as unchristian. They will see the real enemy and want to fight by our side as we will accept them as soldiers in the same fight. If a person is being attached verbally or physically by a person that hates Christ people that believe in him will leave behind past grievances and fight together. The Salvation of man is the goal of any true believer of God. By their fruits shall ye know them.
I think you are right, Joy. Righteous Christians alike will join together to battle this evil. But I really don't think members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are as narrow-minded in this theory as you might think. Like Tim Jones suggests, "ordinances can be done later." Those who have sought to live righteously will recognize Christ's true church here on earth when the time comes, and they will no doubt take the Lord's side.
I think he says this in round about terms. However, the power of god is manifest through the ordinances so as there will be non-LDS proponents of Zion, their influence will be curtailed compared to the priesthood.
As far as the persecution of the saints in the last days, maybe it will be “worse than ever”. I don’t know. But something here doesn’t ring true. I read one thing in the scriptures and then I see something entirely different from the fear mongering crowd. A lot of people (like this guy) seem to delight in trying to scare people over it. There have been many church leaders (even Joseph) who have loved to pontificate about the suffering we’ll go through in the last days. It looks sadistic to me. “You must be tried and tortured”. Yeah, well, been through the refiners fire already. What I read in the scriptures is that our little band of faithful does just fine as God the Father lays waste to the wicked during the cleansing of the United States. That cleansing comes first. People have a bad habit of mixing up the fate of the wicked with the fate of the righteous. You should be going through the refiner’s fire now. Not later. If you think that refinement comes later you’re lagging behind and you won’t be prepared. The faithful will already be strong. We don’t just survive this fight, we win it completely.
I believe both. We have not been through anything tough yet. It is still coming, but soon (of course everyone is going to experience their own personal great trials in their lives, but we are here speaking of the trials of the people/nation). After we are through it we will then be purified/separated/gathered and will be ready to build NJ. At that point we will be protected. I agree with you, we must be tested and purified BEFORE the great tragedies ahead.
@@jaredandrus101 Haven't been through anything tough yet? Speak for yourself! lol. Yes, as a people you're right. Some of us have been through very tough persecution on individual basis but as a people, not so much. But I do see a lot of scriptures that say that we'll be spared. I can't nail anything down that says it'll be worse than Joseph's time. The way things are going it's likely that the wicked will try! 3 Nephi 20 has a few verses that spell out how there will be (apparently) a righteous hit squad (from remnant of Jacob) that will cut through the evil Gentile's like a lion through sheep. Un-repentant Church members beware. The squad will get them too. I believe that the remnant of the House of Jacob who are the descendants of Lehi (from 3Nephi) are the X2 haplotype Iroquois Indians. X2 only shows up in Israel and the Great Lakes Indians. I'm calling them the Algonquin Assassins. Lol. Not kidding. Not sure how it'll happen but that's what it looks like.

Is interesting, how he refers to himself as European or descendant of ephraim. But when he refers to the remnants of Israel through mannase-->lehi he refers to them as Indians, not as mannassa as it should be. That's either ignorance or his racist tendencies. Calling them Indians is improper and totally wrong, they are from mannassa or at least refer to them as Americans as they are truly are Americans and not some European who migrated here and then Think they are the true Americans.

I had my own thoughts, too; but l decided it didn't matter. I just need to be obedient and follow Christ & He will let us know.
@@ruthcostea5633 There's nothing wrong with seeking knowledge. We all have different personalities.
I got a new flash... Brother Andrus has been dead for years. He will not be having a discussion on the subject.
@@RAF71chingachgook Yeah, life is about repeatedly getting hit. Personally haven't been hit too hard yet. I can't afford to specialize in much these days so it precludes me from digging as deep as is often required. Check out The II LDS Archives with Micah English. I found him because he thinks a lot like Hyrum Andrus who is pretty much spot on. He points to scriptures that convinced me that SHTF is very close but it ain't nothing compared to what comes afterward. Start with something like his essay on "The Generation" maybe.
Good on ya chum from New Zealand I was a new believer when they knocked on my door I've been through the refiners fire they gave me a nervous breakdown and my daughter I was stuck there 32yrs 4 yrs on I have a wonderful life free from the cult what a relief fearmongerers mind controllers masonic rituals thank you Jesus for saving us hallelujah
@@jaredandrus101 And yes, New Jersey could use a rebuild. ;P
Questionable.
It was recorded 30 years ago. He came from a time when people were not looking for an excuse to be “offended by a word.” Please don’t judge his wording by today’s “politically correct” standards. He’s not ignorant. Learn from what he’s trying to teach and don’t be offended.
You take the time to watch this and the conclusion you come up with is he’s racist 🤦♂️.
