I really love and repeatedly watched this K-DRAMA, so beautiful SUENGNYAN and so handsome WANGYO!!! They portrayed their characters perfectly especially their love of country. Both of them possess excellent acting skills. They gave justice to their roles from beginning to end. But, I'm so sad when WANGYO died. After I watched EMPRESS KI, I searched for other TV series and Movies of JOO JIN MO and HAJIWON♥️. I really can't get enough of them.
I have not rewatched this drama because the ship is too much tragedy and nostalgia. Two great loves but I believe Wang You and Sungnyang are the true loves.

i don’t know why ppl get so confused with seungnyang’s feelings. if u analyze it more u will notice seungnyang was into tahwan at first. but the betrayal happened so it stopped. then wang yu came into the picture. their love for each other happened so fast like all of a sudden they’re in love w each other. that’s also why when wang yu proposed to her she was having second thoughts, remembered ta hwan and cried. that’s why she didn’t accept the proposal at first. what she felt for wang yu was more like admiration, gratitude, pity and infatuation. he was her hero and the king of goryeo. she looked up to him. he saved her. she did love him tho especially she was the father of her child. but u can see that her feelings for the emperor grew more strongly as time passes by. she was in denial at first and that she’s starting to feel afraid. and the moment she fell for the emperor, what she only felt for wang yu was care and pity. and nah, she didn’t love wangyu till he died. she even said to ta hwan that someday he will know her feelings. u can do the things she did but that doesn’t mean u still love them. and that’s also why she’s more concerned about tahwan’s feelings when he killed wang yu. that’s also why she was so afraid that he will leave her or be done with her. seungnyang/ empress ki even said it herself. “and i love you. i truly.. truly.. love you. i love you.” as she cries her heart out. that’s what she wanted to tell him. she said someday he will know her feelings. she’s just stubborn and prideful to be true to her feelings. she even planned to say it till they’re old and gray. now it’s too late. whenever she’s with wang yu, she’s so formal. but whenever she’s with tahwan she can be herself. she can be silly, playful, she can joke around, she smiles a lot, she laughs a lot at the final scene, it showed the scene where she chooses tahwan over wang yu then rode the horse together with him. it can be interpreted in many ways like even though the path that she will take with ta hwan is rough and painful, she will always choose ta hwan. even though the emperor’s was dark, has a lot of issues with himself, has his inner monster, messy life, very troublesome, despite of all the despties, she still loved him. she understands him. she accept everything about him. she never left him and even fought everyone so that their she, ayu and ta hwan will have a good life together. wang yu may be her first love but ta hwan is her greatest love. their love for each other is deep.

I've hated togon since the beginning of the series, and from the very first episode-even though everyone hated it-I really liked wang yoo yu. 2)since the beginning of the series, the yuan dynasty has been putting pressure on wang yoo, and my king has never had time to find peace and rule his country, he has been dragged from place to place. 3)When Nyang left wang yoo yu, I started to hate him, and I started to ship wang yoo and yeon bisu yu. I wish she could be happy with him if not with nyang 4)in fact, all 4 men liked nyang(although tal tal was a little suspicious, I think he liked it) dang gise-either you're mine, or it was in the logic of the black earth, and he loved nyang, even if he was a bad character in the series, I think he loved nyang, but then he said revenge or something and hated the girl, so it wasn't true love tagon temur- the guy constantly tried to endear himself to nyanga, I appreciated him in this way, but sometimes nyanga left him in a difficult situation with this love, and therefore I think that he was not the one who deserved nyanga. I Love the story... though, I just hate the idea that Emperor Yuan has to kill Wang Yu just to secure Sunyang's safety. I cried when Wang Yu asked this question to Emperor Yuan: Sunyang has saved your life many times, what have you done to save her? ... It's really like, somewhat unreasonable to Kill Wang Yu after all the sacrifices he did for Emperor Yuan and Sunyang. 2020 😆 i think love between wang yu and sunyang is real love, mature love, no force and come automatically, but sunyang to emperor just like mother to son, sunyang protect emperor and emperor need sunyang.. but sunyang need wang yu..and wang yu who protect sunyang.. if im in sunyang position for sure my first love and forever is wang yu i cant move on from him, especially when i know he died for me and i will missing wang yu till the end of my life..but emperor still have place in my heart just like my buddy.. my best friend..

I can sort of imagine how Wang Yu felt , I've been through something similar to his situation. the Love of my life left me , I couldn't do anything about it, she didn't cheat on me or anything, but she just chose to end everything. I didn't get an explanation or even a closure from her. Now, she's with someone else. The pain is still inside me, and I can only accept it and embrace the pain and live with it. I accept it as my karma and I have to atone for my sins , or for whatever I did in my past life. Since then, I have repented day after day. I studied Buddhism and swore an oath to choose the lonely path. i chose to become a servant of mankind and save humanity from suffering, like how Jesus and Buddha did.

Yeah, I just came to vent a little:
1)How does Emperor wang kill yoo yu? okay, we get it, you're jealous, but it couldn't have been that much. I've hated togon since the beginning of the series, and from the very first episode-even though everyone hated it-I really liked wang yoo yu.
2)since the beginning of the series, the yuan dynasty has been putting pressure on wang yoo, and my king has never had time to find peace and rule his country, he has been dragged from place to place.
3)When Nyang left wang yoo yu, I started to hate him, and I started to ship wang yoo and yeon bisu yu. I wish she could be happy with him if not with nyang
4)in fact, all 4 men liked nyang(although tal tal was a little suspicious, I think he liked it)
dang gise-either you're mine, or it was in the logic of the black earth, and he loved nyang, even if he was a bad character in the series, I think he loved nyang, but then he said revenge or something and hated the girl, so it wasn't true love

Tình yêu 2 người này mới là tình yêu bi sử đáng ca ngợi. 2 người hy sinh tình cảm cá nhân để bảo vệ quê hương đó cũng là điều mà đạo diễn muốn gửi gắm qua bộ phim. Cảnh WY chết làm SN rất hối hận vì đã chọn con đường khác. Sau tất cả những gì WY đã làm cho SN và thậm chí hy sinh mạng sống vì cô nên cô cảm giác mình quá nhiều tội lỗi và không còn xứng đáng vs tình cảm cao thượng của chàng nên cô mới nói: kiếp sau và kiếp sau nữa cũng đừng nhớ đến người như tiểu nữ nữa...
