Having never played the games, I like how this film goes into detail as to why Knuckle holds a grudge for Sonic when they first meet, (losing his father and entire tribe to Longclaw and hoping to retrieve the Master Emerald before he even met Robotnik) whereas I think the games and even cartoons had Robotnik lie to him about Sonic stealing the Emerald for himself when they were already allies at that point.

I've been wanting Tikal to show her face in the series. In this scene Longclaw defeated 30 echidnas with spears and swords all by herself that means Echidnas were too weak to destroy Babylon all by themselves and there was third player during the war, and when it ended, Hedgehogs betrayed and exterminated owls

Well, from the movie we find out that the echidna warriors created the Master Emerald, and the owl warriors took it away.
This means that when the Echidna Clan attacked Longclaw's home, they were simply trying to get back what was owed to them.
I don’t want to say anything bad about Longclaw, she raised and took care of Sonic after all, but from Knuckles’ backstory and the history of the creation and abduction of the Master Emerald, we can conclude ... that SHE (and her kinds) was to BLAME for the tragedies of Sonic and Knuckles.

Maybe it's what Wade imagines was the death of Knuckles' tribe or a victimization of Pachacamac to make the owls look like the bad guys.
I was hoping the Knuckles show would’ve at least cleared up Knuckles’ backstory or even introduced characters centric to him (Rogue, Chaotix, etc.)
The explanation from the Knuckles show makes more sense to me rather than Knuckles “never seeing his family again” I just ignore this piece of lore and go along with the Knuckles version.
