Man this makes me want another raptor even more. I had an 06 50th anniversary back in 2010-11 and that thing was just great. Tons of power, super comfortable, and never once missed a beat it was dead reliable.

@@jackfrosty79ifyya for sure. My 660 was bone stock other then drilling Holes in the silenceed and s bigger sprocket in the rear. It would do way over 60 still. I'd beat a 225xc 2 stroke ktm through 4th gear and it wasn't stock. At the time in my area there wasn't a lot that on 4 wheels that would beat me by much. Even a lot of 2 wheelers i would smoke and i was 300lbs

I have a Raptor 700R Special Edition that’s in peace’s, absolutely no Hardware to use too put it back together. The rolling frame is all good.
Some guy my 38 year old son knew was supposed to fix it and wound up having to call the Police and they went with him to get it back but the bolts nuts washers everything is not there.
My Son paid $1,500 to this so called friend to fix it. Well needless to say my Son gave it to me and now I’m a proud owner of yard art. 2vintage I could really use your help to put it back together you know your stuff. I’m 62 and disabled and on a fixed income but will pay you somehow. Holler at me on here I watch you all the time and am subscribed to your channel. Thanks 🙏

Also if I was you I’d do the intake, exhaust, and programmer it will really wake her up, from experience to me it almost feels night and day. You feel the power gain, but also the throttle response on these after that is insane! Complete power house!

I will say though if you plan to keep it you HAVE to throw on a good full exhaust, pc5, and FCI intake..it’ll make it a whole new monster. If ya wanna go a bit further on power throw in a stage 2 or 3 hotcam and you’ll be amazed at the power while still being reliable as ever.

Ive never owned a stock 700. I got mine with the intake, exhaust, and a power commander. For me its crazy to see the front wheels stay down in 2nd and 3rd. I even have taller than stock gears. If there ever was a quad to modify on your channel, this is it. You will not find an easier machine to add noticeable power to. It would be cool to see the difference too. Also research the speed limiter. Its not hard to disable but the computer limits rpm in 5th.

Pull the sensor out of the clutch perch and splice the wires together with some heat shrink hit the wire under the plastics. That will remove the 5th gear rpm limiter and will allow for a higher top speed. You can also stick a punch in the hole to adjust chain tension and move the bike and let the sprocket hit the punch to adjust the chain without hitting on the housing

You need to shop around for your parts. I just bought a new Tusk battery for my 2016 700RSE for $49 free shipping. And no matter how much you spend on a battery.... None of them last. Also a aftermarket K&N filter with the aluminum adapter is only$30. Your plastic cage and filter was probably double that. I do enjoy your content. Just saying shop around. It'll save you some cash. 😁

To loosen or tighten the chain just loosen the 4 bolts. Stick a screw driver in the hole on the sprocket side of the rear carrier (where you were pounding) then rock the quad backs and the sprocket will hit the screw driver and move the carrier back for forward. That will tighten or loosen the chain. Sounds complicated but once you do it it’s super easy.

Wrong filter oil and not enough. Dirt will pass by. Guarantee you man. Those lite colored areas won't stop the finer particles. Please got some oil for foam type filters and pour some into a Ziploc. Put filter in and completely soak it. Then squeeze out the excess. Grease is a the way to go. Good job.

You should probably keep that bike 700 cc so nice and horsey. Man doing a top speed run with the janky tires your way to brave. I hope you never get hurt man. Blow outs are real I had one the other day on my truck and the tires looked good but they were 5 years old and one on the left front blew out at 70 mph. It was very white knuckled. It is plenty fast the wobble could be the tire that is about to blow out the depth on the splits is pretty deep. A great bike for sure.

You seem fairly giddy about this one lol.. I would recommend you keeping it as well, they have a good reputation for reliability, and as far as sport quads go, it's the best available IMO, with all things considered.
I had a 05 Raptor 660r several years ago, that was a pretty good quad. I'd like to get a raptor 700r, I can only imagine how much better the 700 would feel being 10hp more than the 660, plus the updated frame, suspension etc for improved handling.
I have a Grizzly 700 eps (same engine as raptor 700), its a great quad, and also known to be super reliable.. I would definitely recommend you picking up one of these too if the right opportunity presents itself.

Besides faster maintenance Intervals (due to my block thumb) lol it was like a honda no serious issues and reliable as long as you keep up on fluids, good fuel is a must, clean air filter small tool kit n your good to ride. Love watching your show great job in the 700 raptor but I think you should invest in a TIG welder I believe you could have fixed those cracks and saved yourself $900
