    Visiting that shop had to be mouth watering experience. lol Glad Suzie is finally back on the road. Looks like she's now supplying you with some seat-of-the-pants performance that you didn't have. Enjoy.

      Thanks Peter, the shop definitely had some sweet cars! so glad Suzie is not running well and fully boosting :D
      fixing that wheel bearing and exhaust on immediately after haha, then Wicked Big Meet is right around the corner, the largest subaru enthusiast event. How have things been with you, corvettes out and about?

    Bought my 06 lgt for $300 complete, beautiful body with a rod hanging out of the block. No idea what so ever what I was doing but I brought it back with a $40 ej205 block and $120 JDM ej205 heads. Since then I've had the engine in and out about 4 times but I'm learning slow and hard 😆😎👍 but it runs, (like shit sometimes and other times Grrrrrreat. Also diy open source tuning with a $13 cable and a laptop from 1998 it's a shit-show. Lmao 🤣

      what do you use for open source tuning software wise?

    • @crazyDIYguy
      @crazyDIYguy 2 года назад

      @@sokhannhem51 now I use the tactix open port 2.0, for the 05 and 06 Subaru turbos you can also use a $15 Amazon k-line blue vag com cable I wish I had a link for the exact one I'd send it to you just look at the reviews and you'll see people saying what it works on if you do go that route. Tactrix is the best with free ROM raider and ECU flash download

    I was having a very similar issue in my 08 LGT. Figured it was tune, or simply the fact that I'm running 20 lbs of boost into the stock intercooler. Only happens on the first pull after startup, so not a big deal. I suppose I should check the same stuff on my car.

    I have a 2009 legacy GT and I'm having issues with the car loosing boost while in second gear, its like it kick on the off then on again. Any ideas what could be the problem?

    • @tylerpech2219
      @tylerpech2219 4 года назад +1

      Having the same problem except in 3rd gear, it jumps up and down at 5krpm even if I hold the petal down. Did you ever find the problem?

    • @brandonsaulsbury1599
      @brandonsaulsbury1599 3 года назад

      Same. This happens to me mostly in 5th and 6th gear when pushing hard on the accelerator. What could it be????

    What was your mileage when the boost leak started to occur. Thinking of buying one of these, and wondering how reliable they are. And I've never owned a turbo before.

    • @staggeredhorizons3657
      @staggeredhorizons3657  6 лет назад

      I'm not quite sure exactly what mileage the boost leak occurred. the car never boosted 100% since I've had it, so could have been before that. these are are pretty fun and could be a blast to mod, however they can definitely be a money pit and problems. it's hard to find a LGT (especially manual) that hasn't been beaten on, have turbo issues, oil problems, head gaskets and such. have to be careful and aware before making a purchase on a high mileage (100k or more) turbo subaru. where are you from? Add me on instagram @StaggeredHorizons

    • @ratstrat1984
      @ratstrat1984 6 лет назад +1

      Staggered Horizons I'm from Indiana. Found an 08 LGT with less than 50k miles. Not a modder or speed demon, I just need a nice reliable car and this one caught my eye. Thanks for the quick reply.

    • @staggeredhorizons3657
      @staggeredhorizons3657  6 лет назад

      no problem. may I ask how much the 08 with 50K is? not many of these with 50K or less miles

    • @ratstrat1984
      @ratstrat1984 6 лет назад +1

      Staggered Horizons Private party, $11900. It looks really clean, but haven't seen it in person yet. A little hesitant about buying an older turbo model, even with low miles.

    • @staggeredhorizons3657
      @staggeredhorizons3657  6 лет назад

      If you definitely want a turbo subaru I would purchase an Accessport beforehand and plug it into the car during test drive to make sure things are where they need to be, Air to Fuel, Boost Range, etc. checking for any oil leaks, etc.

    How much did this visit to the shop set you back?

    • @staggeredhorizons3657
      @staggeredhorizons3657  5 лет назад +1

      not much, a little over an hour and a new MAF sensor which was expensive, have to buy OEM fo this specific piece, aftermarket MAF sensors don't really work is what I'm told from different people

      Yessss, could have been much worse, I'll take that $280 MAF sensor any day rather than a new turbo or something else.
      Thanks for Watching man! can't wait to see your LGT on coils :D
