can someone tell us what is the difference between fusion 360 and inventor?
Fusion 360 is used in machinig and inventor in design
Fusion 360 is the consumer version of Inventor. Most of the features are the same but Inventor has some more complicated tools and better enterprise features.
Any decent designer and structural analyst could've made a much better attempt at the original design. This technique is good for a single load case. Try it on multiple cases to see what happens
FANTASTIC! Can you tell me whether the modelling can include Vibration behaviour. I am involved in making a frame which I want to resonate to the maximum degree (that is as near as possible to 'ring like a bell').... as well as meeting all other design constraints such as optimized Buy to Fly ratio and overall mass minimization for the required strength.
It looks pretty cool except it's about 200$ for each try. It makes a casino look like a charity.

@@romancenturion8 doesn't every generative design cost quite a bit? and then doing 16 variations all at once
@@DanFrederiksen No, its integrated into the software and completely free if you run the simulation on your own machine. If you want to pay someone to run it on their servers it might cost money, but its free to do and easy if you have even a moderate consumer processor.
@@romancenturion8 hmm, that was really not my impression. I believe I've tried it and it only allows cloud. have you actually done that ?
The initial assembly could be simplified a lot with sheet metal and welds.
