I’m so happy you mention NZ. We don’t have many bricks-&-mortar options in high street brands. For eg. one Zara store in the whole country! No Mango, COS, Uniqlo or Massimo Datti. Any of these + Na-kd or Arket reviews especially their sizing would be awesome. Thanks so much for this video. V v helpful 👍🏼. Loved the black dress & it looked lovely on you 😊
Jamie, you should try Roberto Verino. It's a Spanish brand, more expensive than Mango, but the quality is really good. They use natural fibres and the clothes are classic, but chic. I hope this can help! ❤
Hi Jamie, thanks a lot for another interesting and very detailed review. Unfortunately Mango, Zara and Massimo Dutti are mostly what we get here but i have noticed that the collections they feature in my country often differ a lot from those in central European countries or the US. However as ordering isn't that easy i do tend to buy items from these shops when possible opting for natural fiber mixes. But again i try to buy my clothes while traveling to have a better selection of more sustainable and quality brands.
You know, I was reflecting on this the other day, how when I consider the brands that are on the more affordable end of the spectrum in places like Europe etc, often they are those high street labels we are all familiar with. And it struck me that here in Australia we are actually spoilt for choice with mid tier brands etc - around the COS sort of price point. We do have the same issue as you, where our collections are different down under. Often we get a collection six months later so it’s seasonally appropriate, and it’s a more edited range. I think that’s a great strategy - while there are things I like about being able to shop online (especially when you have kids), the in store experience is unrivaled xx
@@mademoisellejaime yes especially when sending packages back ( if ordered from abroad) is too expensive while sizes vary from collection to collection.
Some of my favourite pieces are Mango, but in among the gems and great designs & cuts there’s quite a bit of cheap synthetic fabric with no lasting quality. Thanks for mentioning the denim smell issue, which occurs in many midrange jean lines. It’s made even worse when worn, due to body heat. I’ve even noticed the smell transfers and lingers on the skin which makes you wonder about chemical transfer, for the workers making the items as well. Basically a deal breaker! I wish brands wouldn’t use this cost cutting method which makes it likely that the item will end up in a landfill even faster.

Thank you! And absolutely maybe I should kick off the year with a COS best and worst 🥰

Not liking all the polyester!
