My dad absolutely loved norman & I could see why, he was a wonderful comic & didn't need to use foul language to get a laugh, unlike most of these so called comedians who aren't funny at all, rip Norman hope you've met my father up there, I'm sure you'll be putting on a show with all the other great comedians we've so sadly lost over the years
RIP - Norman Collier - Comedian 0433AM 1.9.22 very funny, i do agree. and although he sent up old club compares he would still be relevant re: dodgy days at butlins or pontins or for those who can afford cruises round the med. cool.
You can't be funny if you swear? And if you pay attention to this he is implying swearing as the mic "cuts out". Don't tell me the words don't form in your head!
@@douglasfreeman3229 RIP - Norman Collier - Comedian 0456am 3.9.22 you can be funny if you swear... sometimes the choicest eff off cutting through the ether dampens the most ardent lover or political activist's charm. as for norman collier - very funny. and my dad found him to be amusing as do i. some woman tried to give a lecture at university once over and the mic kept cutting out. sounded just like this... and i was reprimanded for laughing as the spectre of club comic mr norman collier rose before the joyous mote in mine own eye... i also fell asleep in a lecture due to being kept awake all hours of the day and night - rather like now, really... so who knows... i might laugh again - in the future...
@Russell Collier RIP - Norman Collier - Comedian 1000am 13.9.22 who - me or him? i think i'd rather be related to norman collier than...errr me. there you go. he'd have made a decent script writer, i feel. there's still tim, norman, there's still time lad.. etc etc etc... funny act. like it. end of.
From the glorious age of great working class comics...mostly dour northerners with a generous conversational wit...warm...likeable...we shall not see their like again...sadly
I worked with Normans younger brother who was a maintenance guy at the Shepperton Moat House in 1981. I was a K.P. They are almost identical in appearance and he was hilarious and just as daft.
BRILLIANT COMEDIAN WITH A VERY ORGINAL ACT.USED TO DO A SPOT AT PONTINS IN JERSEY IN THE EAR,Y 70s WHEN I WORKED THERE.WASNT TOO WELL KNOWN NATIONALLY AT THE TIME BUT IT WAS OBVIOUS WITH SUCH A BRILLUANT ACT HE WAS GOING PLACES RIP NORMAN "THANKS FOR THE MEMORY"
Made the world a much brighter place . A very funny and good man.
Apparently he and Benny Hill were great favourites of Frank Sinatra.
Proper old school comedy. Timelessly magical!
Did a summer season with this wonderful man at Cleethorpes. So funny off stage as well as on. Great memories.
Memorial Hall?
I always thought "summer season at Cleethorpes" was a euphemism for six months in Lincoln Gaol.
The Brilliant Norman Collier👏👏👏 what a great comic God bless him🙏💙
Rest in peace Norman gone but not forgotten one of the best 😂😂😂🇬🇧

I often bumped in to Norman on Hessle Road in Hull during the early 1970’s. Smashing fella and always made me laugh.

I miss seeing them on the telly. Especially Norman and Eddie Flanagan. Look at the rubbish we have to put up with now!

I kid you not, he once asked me for directions when driving along Marylebone Road in London, and I so wanted to say them in a 'broken mic' way.
Ha ha! You should have done!

Whats with the 1 thumbs down - someone with zero sense of humour.
No. Someone who doesn't share your sense of humour. Don't be so narrow-minded.
