  • My Kalorik Maxx died while using it. I watched a video by Dallas Canada and he explained what he found. Using his info, I am taking it a step further. I show you how to take the cover off to gain access to the inside of the unit, trouble shoot the problem I had, and how to repair it.
    I am not a licensed electrician or Kalorik repairman. I am handy with these types of repairs so I wanted to help others if they are handy like me. If you do not know how to do these repairs safely do not attempt to do them. Or do what you want. Who am I to tell you what to do. Just as a disclaimer, I did all repairs with the unit unplugged and while the unit was plugged in with the cover off, I was not near the inner workings. Any repairs you do on your own is at your own risk.
    The fusible link I used is:
    www.amazon.com...
    I have no affiliation with this company or amazon. This is the item I used and it worked fine the first time. Your experience may be different.
    Here is the original video I watched by Dallas Canada.

    Great advice!! Replaced the fuse I simply cut the fuse out and left some of the fuse wire on each end and soldered new fuse in i looped the fuse with original metal wire and soldered so easy.

    Thanks good video. Didn’t even have to watch the whole thing. The first two minutes primed the pump tore mine apart found the thermal link used the ohm meter and checked the cord and link. Yep bad link ordered a dozen good to have on hand. Just verify your amps, V and °. Thanks for sharing as well in this throw away society we live in it’s a shame many people don’t even try and fix them.

    You should show how to remove the fuse

      If you need it shown then you should stay far far away from electrical work of any kind.

      @jeremyzebrowski376 believe it or not they weren't bad to deal with and the process itself was easy. Only downside was it took awhile of back and forth communication until we got the new one in the mail. Vs just going buying the part and fixing it yourself

    Thx for making the video. Do you just cut the old fuse or is there a better way to remove it? Also what is crimping if I don't have a soldering iron? And last question, is your AF still working? Thx

    Dammit, I wish I could attempt this as mine died but I probably could only get as far as opening it. Maybe I could solder it but not much experience, then I'll be stuck at fixing the wire if that is the issue. When I have more time I'll probably get to it, thanks for the video!

    Hi I am unable to find a SF184F but do see a SF184E. Would you know the difference between the two?

      Same here. So that's what I used. I just got it fixed and it appears to run but I have not actually tested it out yet. I hope it will work!

      Not sure. As long as it has the same temperature and amperage you should be fine

    Is there a polarity on the fuse where you can only put it in one way or can it be put in either way? Not an electrician or electronics hobbyist.

    • @jeremyzebrowski376
      @jeremyzebrowski376  3 месяца назад +1

      No polarity. Can be soldered either way. Only diodes are one way

    Did the new fuse continue to work or did it blow also? Thanks.

    • @anthonyg6924

      It's been around 8 months since I did your repair and it running without any issues. Looks to be like the manufacturer got a bad shipment of junk fuses.
      Thanks much for this video! Very very useful.👍🏻

    Why not use a fuse that can withhold 240°C

    • @TB_SnEaKy
      @TB_SnEaKy 9 месяцев назад

      That's what I decided to buy. Same 10a 250V just a higher temp rating, I hope this works.

    • @jeremyzebrowski376
      @jeremyzebrowski376  3 месяца назад +1

      The temperature rating is manufacturer specific to keep the unit from starting a fire

    • @gustavoventurin
      @gustavoventurin 3 месяца назад +1

      @jeremyzebrowski376 problem is this model air fryer can get up to 500F, which is the equivalent of 260C. While the fuse is not located within the air fryer itself, the ventilation on this is piss poor, with such a small fan that doesn't disperse heat very well. I would bump the thermal fuse to a higher rated one, or at the very least, replace the fan with something more powerful.

  • @gold8664
    @gold8664 Год назад

    That’s going to go bad especially with all the heat

    • @albertosoto8592
      @albertosoto8592 Год назад

      Why, cause the tin welding?

    • @MRbigBearJR
      @MRbigBearJR Год назад

      Soft solder melting point is 190 - 840f depending on what you’re using. If the fuse is rated for 180 degrees it will pop again before the solder is affected. But crimping would be a good idea if your prefer.

    • @HAILtheGREAT1
      @HAILtheGREAT1 Год назад +2

      @@MRbigBearJR Another vicitm of this shotty device. We should get a class action against Kalorik. in the meanwhile have you replaced with another fuse that has held up better. if so can you share where to source it and did you go with the solder or crimp? I dont have much experience with appliances but grew up working on cars so I can get by with enough cummulative pointing in the right direction. thanks in advance.

      It has been working fine for over one year now. Maybe the fuse kalorik put in was trash. I didn't want to go hotter on the fuse because I would rather the fuse pop then start a fire.
