xtremepowerus 48 sq ft DE (Diatomaceous Earth) filter adaption to Hayward diverter valve
In this video I explain how I adapt a Hayward Variflo filter control valve to a XtremepowerUS 48 square foot DE (Diatomaceous Earth) filter. I listed the components I used below. I am not sponsored nor do I make any money from this video. These links or descriptions are for your reference and you can use anything you like. These items are what I used for the highest probability of success for me. I am not an expert and there may be many other items that will work better. I could not find anything to make this any easier. If anyone has an easier way that will help others please feel free to share here or link your video. I am only here to try to help others who may be in the same boat I wa...

My Kalorik Maxx quit working while in use. Completely died. No power anywhere. No panel lights, nothing. In this video I finish up the repair. If you missed part 1 please go check it out before this one. Thanks.
Kalorik Maxx died in use and will not turn back on troubleshooting and repair Part 1
Просмотров 22 тыс.2 года назад
My Kalorik Maxx died while using it. I watched a video by Dallas Canada and he explained what he found. Using his info, I am taking it a step further. I show you how to take the cover off to gain access to the inside of the unit, trouble shoot the problem I had, and how to repair it. I am not a licensed electrician or Kalorik repairman. I am handy with these types of repairs so I wanted to help...
Hi JEremy , Thanks for the fantastic video. I have a couple of questions as this seems to be the issue with my Kalorik. I have no continuity as well. A) The link you provided to the amazon fuse seems to be a SF184E (not F). Is that still a good one to use ? B) I dont know too much about electricity, Should we not be using the lower 125V @ 16Amp fuse in Canada rather than the 250V fuse ?
Excellet, thank you
Thank you. Exactly the information I needed.
thank you so much for making this easy vid and for the link as well! ordered it for hubby to install!:)
Almost two weeks later and I have had zero issues. It has been working perfectly.
Thanks for a great 👍 video. We also have a Kalorik Maxx. Even though ours is a different sub model than the one in the video this information still helped in getting our air fryer back up and running. Thanks again.
Dammit, I wish I could attempt this as mine died but I probably could only get as far as opening it. Maybe I could solder it but not much experience, then I'll be stuck at fixing the wire if that is the issue. When I have more time I'll probably get to it, thanks for the video!
Thank you for making this video and linking the bojacks! I was able to fix my airfryer!!
Hi, this was an even paced, and informative video. However, I have power, but no heat. Do you have a video for that?
Sorry no. This issue has not happened to mine yet. If it does and I figure it out I will be sure to post a video. Good lock!
No. I'm sorry. I haven't run into that issue. Of it does happen to mine I will make a video to show what I found. Good luck!
This video was a life saver!! Thsnk you!
How to fox if not heating even all controls and power are working justing problem? Thank you
I have not run into this issue with mine yet. If it happens I will try and figure it out and share the video with everyone. I hope you figure it out.
Is this same air fryer still working after fixing it?
Yes. This air fryer is still up and functioning. We use it almost daily.
@@jeremyzebrowski376 I had 5 die on me within a month or two. They just kept sending me new ones. I kept 2 that I will fix. Thanks for your help!
have you had issuers with the touch screen not working after it gets hot i dont lose power but keeps shutting down id send a video but dont know how.
I have not had that issue yet but if it happens I will try and diagnose the issue and post a video for everyone. I hope you are able to figure it out. Good luck!
Awesome life saver! I just twisted the two wires together so hopefully I don't die
Thanks to your awesome and easy to follow video, I managed to fix my Kalorik Maxx all by myself!!! Thanks again!!
Can you please send me the link in Amazon of what you bought so I can buy the exact same thing I do appreciate it
I linked the item I used in the description. Hope that helps!
My Kalorik oven stoped working within approximately 6 months after I purchased.
Thank you so much - my Kalorik oven went off while I was using it, now I know how to fix it.
Thank you for the info 👍
This happened to ours. We ended up getting a new one via warrenty but good to know incase it happens again!
I didn't want to deal with the manufacturer
@jeremyzebrowski376 believe it or not they weren't bad to deal with and the process itself was easy. Only downside was it took awhile of back and forth communication until we got the new one in the mail. Vs just going buying the part and fixing it yourself
Name the fuse please
Why is there ending? Did it work?
Second video finished it up. I messed up the recording. Everything is still working perfect
Thank you for this video, we fixed our problem in 10 minutes!
Sf184f 184 grados 16 amp a 125
Thanks good video. Didn’t even have to watch the whole thing. The first two minutes primed the pump tore mine apart found the thermal link used the ohm meter and checked the cord and link. Yep bad link ordered a dozen good to have on hand. Just verify your amps, V and °. Thanks for sharing as well in this throw away society we live in it’s a shame many people don’t even try and fix them.
Great advice!! Replaced the fuse I simply cut the fuse out and left some of the fuse wire on each end and soldered new fuse in i looped the fuse with original metal wire and soldered so easy.
Did the new fuse continue to work or did it blow also? Thanks.
So far mine has continued to work great. It's been a year
It's been around 8 months since I did your repair and it running without any issues. Looks to be like the manufacturer got a bad shipment of junk fuses. Thanks much for this video! Very very useful.👍🏻
Awesome, thanks!
Thank you Very much !
I have a question. When I am soldering it do I cut the gold piece that are holding the wires under the plastic together or just the replacing part?
I cut the red wire and stripped a little of the insulating plastic coating off for fresh contact and put the fresh solder on that.
My wife bought a pack of 10 SF184E rated 184 degrees C, 10A, 250V. It works.
Thank you for your video. I didnt have the solder gun so I used some butt connectors. Success. I'd rather solder so the sheath would go over repair like yours did. I had to cut the sheath and tape it back together with electrical tape. Most important, wife is happy.
Great Video. I have the same problem and the same lack of voltage. Ordered thermo fuse from Amazon, will install tomorrow. Thank you so much for your help.
Hi can you let us know if it works thanks.
@@nicolettehunte4400 mine is still working solid. Good luck with yours. I love hearing about everyone's successes.
Planned obsolescence . Mine just died...Thnx for the vid.
Love that, easy and simple to fix, thanks
where is part 2
You should show how to remove the fuse
If you need it shown then you should stay far far away from electrical work of any kind.
Thx for making the video. Do you just cut the old fuse or is there a better way to remove it? Also what is crimping if I don't have a soldering iron? And last question, is your AF still working? Thx
Yep. Just cut it out. Still working great
My fryer went out my husband and I followed this demonstration. 😢😢we were afraid to hook it up, Harvey went in the other room , too afraid😢 to test it. WOW! It is still working. YES! It is working like. Pro
how has this held up 3 months later? and did you solder or crimp the fuse in? thanks in advance.
Great video. Wonderful advice and instruction. My Kalorik uses Fuse # RY184C - Haven't found a replacement yet. Can we replace this thermal fuse with a new fuse-type coupling unit which allows for easier replacement?
I would not recommend modifying the fuse in that manner as these fuses are designed to fail if the unit gets too hot in an attempt to keep fires from happening and also protecting the other circuits. Good luck with your unit. I hope you find a solution
That’s going to go bad especially with all the heat
Why, cause the tin welding?
Soft solder melting point is 190 - 840f depending on what you’re using. If the fuse is rated for 180 degrees it will pop again before the solder is affected. But crimping would be a good idea if your prefer.
@@MRbigBearJR Another vicitm of this shotty device. We should get a class action against Kalorik. in the meanwhile have you replaced with another fuse that has held up better. if so can you share where to source it and did you go with the solder or crimp? I dont have much experience with appliances but grew up working on cars so I can get by with enough cummulative pointing in the right direction. thanks in advance.
@@HAILtheGREAT1 ruclips.net/video/faLn-SjVfwY/видео.html
It has been working fine for over one year now. Maybe the fuse kalorik put in was trash. I didn't want to go hotter on the fuse because I would rather the fuse pop then start a fire.
Thanks, it s very helpfull. It s about 1 year I didn't use my airfryer. thanks very much
You never solder a thermal fuse as it will change the temp on when it shuts off also if it gets to hot it could melt solder and cause a fire . Use crimp on connectors.
Mine came with a RY 184 TF..
Es más comun encontrar el de 185° igual le es compatible
thank you, just fixed a relatively new oven. unfortunately the doors not work as it did once we put everything back. But the oven worked
Thank you Jeremy, it was very helpful to fix my air fryer
Is there a polarity on the fuse where you can only put it in one way or can it be put in either way? Not an electrician or electronics hobbyist.
No polarity. Can be soldered either way. Only diodes are one way
Really good video, easy to follow and understand. I have the same problem but now have a very good idea on how to check it and fix if the problem is the same. Thanks
I would have liked to see a ground to the appliances cabinet. Do you have any idea why isn't there one?
No. Sorry. I agree proper grounding is always recommended for protection against possible shocks. Without looking at the wiring diagram I would hope these protections are built into this unit somewhere.
thanks.
