  • Witness this thrilling Su-30SM airshow performance that seems to defy and bend the laws of physics!! Featuring solo flight displays alongside formation flights and dogfight mock-ups that make use of the jet's thrust vectoring nozzles, this show is sure to leave none indifferent!
    This incredible video, originally posted almost a decade ago, has now been remastered with improved stabilization and color grading for an enhanced viewing experience. Watch as Irkut test pilots Vyacheslav and Evgeniy Averyanov showcase the Su-30SM's exceptional maneuverability at the MAKS International Airshow. ❤️❤️❤️
    The Su-30SM is a multirole fighter aircraft developed by JSC Sukhoi Design Bureau for the Russian Air Force. As a derivative of the Su-30MK family, it combines advanced features like canard surfaces and thrust vector control (TVC) engines, enabling it to perform high-angle-of-attack maneuvers that few other fighter jets can match. With its arsenal of air-to-air missiles, precision-guided munitions, and a powerful automatic cannon, the Su-30SM excels in both air superiority and engaging ground and surface targets. Additionally, its bi-seat configuration allows for pilot training on advanced single-seat fighter jets.
    This specialized version of the Su-30MKI and MKM export variants has been further modernized to meet Russian military requirements. Equipped with the Bars-R radar, a wide-angle HUD, and upgraded avionics, the Su-30SM boasts enhanced radar capabilities, communication systems, navigation systems, and more. Its airframe, made of titanium and high-strength aluminum alloys, ensures durability and performance.

      You also are acting like a 4 year-old.
      This 1960 - 70s technology --- the 3-D nozzle --- is beautiful to watch in public air show stunt activities; but it has ZERO advantage in a real war. THAT is why the Pentagon chose not to deploy this technology, beyond the 2D that the F-22 has.
      The US military, for the most part, doesn't use 3D technology NOT because it doesn't know how to do it, even with a $1T budget. Rather, the Pentagon doesn't think this Bronze Age technologies is worth much in a near-peer war against other high end fighter jets.
      (The US should have chosen the non-2D YF-23, as opposed to the 2D F-22, and it would have been a superior aircraft; many of today's 6th gen bombers and fighter jets, for example, are starting to emulate some of the YF-23's 1990s features, because the YF-23 had the least number of protruding parts coming out of its fuselage and, thus, it is the most stealthy, after a "flying wing.")
      Anyway, today's high end missiles don't care whether a fighter jet flies at "only" Mach 1.5 (like the F-35 maxing out) or at Mach 2.5/2.9, like the Su-35, F-22, Eurofighter, Rafale, etc.)... if you don't know WTF is going on and you fly into a volley of such missiles, you are good as a dead pilot....
      Forget about tomorrow's high missiles, which are on their way in the next 5 or so years... that could easily do Mach 6 and beyond (Most of today's high end missiles still only do Mach 4 - Mach 6 or so, except for the large ground ones that could do Mach 6 to Mach 10 or so)...
      MISSILES (air to air & ground to air, between say ~200lb & ~4,000lbs) are just way too fast, with acceleration & guidance systems that no giant flying aircraft could out fly or out maneuver...

      No disrespect intended but during WW2 the Germans and British gave birth to rocketry (Its unclear who did it first between the two).

    Excellent filming. You gotta tell me how to stabilize the camera like you do lol. But yeah this jet is pretty cool under Indian and Malaysian hands. They kept their flanker avionics decently upgraded. Gonky was talking about how they were challenging to fight in WVR as a Hornet and had to adjust his mode of thinking when fighting them.

    • @Airguardian
      @Airguardian  5 месяцев назад +2

      Thank you!
      There are quite a few tricks going in this one... the entire camera is suspended into an internal optical gimbal which offers stabilization much superior compared to the usual lense/body stabilization that cameras offer. You need to learn to film with that though because it adds a delay in the response. But most importantly, I post-process the video in DaVinci resolve and put a lot of work in stabilizing the video there further. It's not quite as simple as pressing a button though, need to track the jets first and apply stabilization later, then merge the different splits so the frames line up. It's quite a manual process... :p
