    "Tell my half-brother I shall have my throne or I will have his head" - Rhaenyra
    "Our uncle calls us Strongs, but when the lords see us on dragonback they will know that for a lie. Only Targaryens ride dragons." - Luke

      The first and third quote will make more sense in season 2 if they decide to include them. It wouldn’t make sense here though with the characterization of Rhaenyra they’re going for as someone who is doing everything in her power to stave off war, until the very final moment of the episode of course.

      It's difficult to steal the crown if it already belongs to him in the first place. Viserys named Rhaenyra heir in his guilt for murdering Aemma (and to disinherit Daemon). One could argue he stole Aegon's birthright. Aegon is the king's first born son. He is the heir to the throne by the laws of gods and men.

    I think it's ridiculous to assume that the dragons - Vhagar and Arrax - initiated combat on their own. They reacted to their riders' situation. It was Aemond and Aemond alone who placed all four of them in a dangerous combat situation. Aemond commanded Vhagar to pursue and attack Arrax (ridden by Lucerys) while Aemond was screaming threats at the boy, thus radiating hostility (which Vhagar could sense). Naturally, Arrax was frightened by the attack of a dragon five times his size; and spit fire in self-defense and the defense of his rider; and Vhagar, feeling both the rage of her rider and her own anger at Arrax's flame, reacted with lethal force. If Vhagar were an aggressive Belgian Malinois dog who had been trained by a prior owner to fight and kill, and Aemond told her to attack Lucerys, who was walking his Jack Russell Terrier home, but Aemond didn't expect Vhagar to do anything but snap at the smaller dog and the boy; even though he hadn't spent much time personally training Vhagar, would we really be saying it was the dogs' fault and not Aemond's fault? Can you just see Aemond saying to a cop, or his grandfather "I was just trying to scare Lucerys, and Vhagar disobeyed me"? Aemond wanted to, at the very least, hurt Lucerys; and very possibly, consciously, to kill him.
    Also, Arya did not watch her father's head be cut off in Game of Thrones. She was seized by Yoren, who deliberately turned her head away so she could not see Ned's decapitation. It was Sansa who was forced to watch Ned's execution, while she screamed and struggled in vain and fainted shortly afterward (she remembers certain horrible details).

    • @cfinley81
      @cfinley81 Год назад +7

      Aemond failed to understand that Vhagar is not just a dragon, she is a battle-hardened massive beast who's been to war basically most of it's life. He was so fused in his own anger and need for blood to understand just what he was doing, until it was too late.

  • @Alejojojo6
    @Alejojojo6 Год назад +36

    min 18:44 No!! Its not no-targaryens. They are Targaryen by blood (only Targaryens cause of the blood ritual that they made in Valyria can bond with Dragons. Random people cant) . They are called dragon-seeds because they either have some targaryen blood in them or they are bastards or descendants of a Targaryen person thus having the blood that allows them to bond with Dragons. For example, one of the Dragonseed is Addam (which is allegedly a bastard of Laenor or Corlys, which are Velaryon and have Targaryen blood in them due to many Velaryon-Targaryen intermarriages).

    I just binged your reactions to HOTD, lit finished around 2am.
    I don't understand why your channel isn't bigger, you're honestly great. Yall remind me of my brother and my group of friends when we're watching something.
    I am team Black, I think all of them are terrible in their own ways but I can't help but side with Rhaenyra, it's not just that the show is more sympathetic towards her, but the fact that she has been trying to right wrongs and make her family one since she grew up, but also the fact that she was the rightful heir, but the greens took it from her. Also, I just gotta be opposite Otto, i hate that man.
    Surprisingly, I liked Daemon from the very start. Imo, he never looked hungry for the throne, he looked hungry for approval and acceptance from his older brother, a brother who constantly pushed him away bcs of the words of a greedy, envious hand. No matter how many times he was pushed away and exiled from King's Landing, Daemon would always return at the first call, he always longed for home and family. The choking scene bothered me so much, bcs it was only added in bcs one of the producers hates Daemon's guts so that bothers me.
    Daemon is Rhaenyra's staunchest supporter, that's the only thing peopl have to remember when watching him. He will do anything for family.
    Also talking about GOT and the final season, my family and I were in Valle de Bravo, Mexico, for my brother's wedding (we are Peruvian, but he and his wife decided to have a destination wedding) and we still got together on Sunday, my whole family and their friends, to watch the fight against the white walkers in Winterfell.
    I don't know how well-versed you are in Korean dramas, but one that is popular right now, and it's honestly great and has become one of my favorites is called Weak Hero Class 1, I really recommend you watch it and even react to it, I think you'd enjoy it.

    • @PGHReactYinz
      @PGHReactYinz  Год назад

      @jimjimcherie -- thank you for the kind words, we're so glad you enjoyed it! Ya know, watching HOTD has really expanded our viewer base, and I think as we continue to branch out to different genres of shows, that may continue. You mentioned Weak Hero Class 1, so I'll add that to our list to check out. I think our next show is going to be Chainsaw Man, perhaps The Last of Us too, who knows? We're still discussing it to be honest.
      That's so cool that your whole family is into GoT and watched it together. Honestly, watching GoT with the guys and our friends was one of the inspirations to start this channel!
      And finally, yep, Team Black all the way. Although I have to admit that after reading everyone's comments throughout the whole series, I really sympathize for Alicent and her motivations. It almost reminds me of Skylar from Breaking Bad. First watch I HATED her, and every other watch afterwards I side with Skylar, and despise Walt. It's the same thing for HOTD and Alicent for me right now.
      Thanks again for watching, it means the world to us!

    • @jimjimcherie
      @jimjimcherie Год назад

      @@PGHReactYinz No need to thank me! Honestly, I'm here for whatever you watch, I've been checking and we seriously have the same watch list, literally the same shows. Another show I recommend, just for funsies don't feel pressured to watch it or anything, is Dark, a German show on Netflix. The k-drama community is really big lately and Weak Hero is a k-drama based on a popular webtoon, so that could help expand your channel, but again! That's up to you, don't feel pressured into things, just watch what you wanna watch!! Chainsaw Man is pretty good! The animation is crazy.
      We tend to watch things together in my family, there are some shows I've watched that I've seen maybe like 3 times just because I saw it first and then I needed to show it to my family and then my friends. In a way, that's why I'm drawn to reaction channels, bcs it's already something I've been doing in real life, showing shows or movies to people just to see their reactions and what they think about it. Yes! I saw! I'm glad GOT inspired to make the channel bcs I'm really glad i found it. Yall seem like really cool dudes.
      I sympathize with Alicent to an extent, I've watched plenty reactions for HOTD, so you could say I've kinda rewatched it several times. She's just very closed minded in my eyes, constantly driven by fear, and that's something I simply cannot sympathize with. I understand she is the result of what Otto made her, but I've never liked characters who just conform to their circumstances. She is a passive character. But i completely understand other people can really sympathize with her.
      Thank you for watching the things I like and putting them on RUclips!! SJSJSJS. I really enjoy reactions, specially intelligent ones, so finding your channel has been a treat.

I’d be freaking out, wanting that baby out of me. It’s no wonder she practically pulled it out of herself. I wouldn’t be surprised if she also knew it was going to be stillborn. A woman slowly dying from having a dead fetus trapped in her body…an awful thought. But so is a non-medicated, brutal c-section. She just wanted that baby out of her body.

      Really? I honestly liked Rhaenyras crowing better because it was intimate and felt genuine. She got her fathers crown and all the people that bent the knee to her loves her, chose to do it and were there for her because they believe in her. Whereas with Aegon, all the common people were forced into the dragon pit to watch his ceremony against their will and begrudgingly clapped with much hesitation and uncertainty. I mean not even his family ( except Otto) seemed happy about his crowing because they all know he’s a rapist piece of sh*t. So I think Rhaenyra wins that one, but we can agree to disagree. 😊
