Dragons dont act on their own.. Enough with this dumb narrative..Yes u cant control them but dragons act on their Rider's emotions..Vhagar sensed Aemond's emotions to hurt and arrax sensed Lucerys' emotion of fear and defence..not to mention Vhagar was snapping and tried biting arrax so arrax had no choice but to attack despite Lucerys commanding arrax to stop in Valyrian
Aemond is responsible for Luce's death. He bullied him and used Vhagar as a toy to do so. By doing so, Luce's dragon was getting tired of the bullying and fought back and much bigger Vhagar killed them both. Regardless it's war now.
Its easy for us to judge in retrospect that Rhaenyra was stupid to send her children like that. Lucarys is actually 14, in that age many boys have already seen battles in the world of westeros, remember Lyana Mormont ?? . Storm's end is a short flight to Dragonstone, and as she mentioned, Baratheon shared blood with her family. In Episode 4 she was seen in Storms End herself with Lord Baratheon, when a no. of suiters line up for her. Also, she did not expect that someone would kill an envoy and she was correct, even Aemond did not wanted to kill Lucarys. and these boys are not some bunch of mama's babies, they are heirs to the throne themselves, each with a dragon.
Something that sadly wasn't mentioned in this season is that Rhaenyra is the youngest person to ever ride a dragon. She first rode Syrax when she was only like 7 years old, I think she has an extremely strong bond with her dragon.
@@Arikarinful a baby being carried on a dragon is not them being a dragon rider. Rhaenyra is the youngest ever dragon rider… she rode Syrax herself at only 7
Thank you! Exactly what I was thinking also. Daemon just doesn’t want Rhaenyra to be as weak as her father or to be super nice like her father. She needs to have a backbone since viserys never had one.
Poor Rhaenyra lost her father, lost her baby due to miscarriage and lost one of her sons in a matter a few days 😭😭😭 her birthright was also stolen from her. Rhaenyra has good reason to burn all the bloody greens. I don't blame Rhaenyra for sending her son Lucerys to storms end, storms end is very close and the chances for Aemond to have been there was very small, Aemond could have easily been at House Stark or at the Tally's instead. I think it is just pure bad luck that Aemond happened to be there already. If any of the other greens was at storms end none of this would happen because the realm was still in peace that also why Rhaenyra sent her children because the realm still in peace and they were send as messengers not as negotiators or as warriors. Neither Daemon and Rhaenys was able to go instead because they had there own errands to run. So sad that Aemond and Lucerys both lost control over their dragons. And if Aemond did not tease Lucerys then none of this shit would have happened. Aemond just started a war.
"The next day Rhaenyra announced the dead baby girl as Visenya. Visenya was born dead, deformed, twisted, with a hole in her chest where her heart was supposed to be and a dragon's tail with scales." - Fire & Blood
Daemon Targaryen is probably the Valerian descendant who knows the most about the culture of his own ancestry in dragons. He doesn't say "serve me" Vemithor, that would probably lead to his death, but he sings, which calms them down.
RIP Lucerys, he was such a brave child and what makes his death even more heartbreaking is you could just see the potential him and Arrax had.. he would've grew into such a good leader. Rhaenyra definitely raised her children to be good leaders. I also LOVED Arrax's color scheme :( so super sad we didn't get to see him grow into a larger dragon
That's Vermithor, King Jaehaerys 1 dragon who is riderless. And both dragons in the fight didn't listen to their riders. Remember when King Viserys said about the dragons that it's an illusion if anyone thinks we control the dragons, the dragons also bond with the riders and through the magic of the bond they can sense what the riders feel and think, it's a kind of magical Warg that happens which is why Caraxies, and Syrax can feel what the riders want and you see Syrax crying in pain at the failed child birth, so basically Aarax, could sense Luceris's fear and moves to defend him and Vagar, cam feel what Aemond is feeling and not what he is saying.
The Daemon put his hand on Rhaenyra was it because of the prophecy because viserys didn't tell him (this doesn't exist in the books the Writers vented in the series) I understand the fight we both have because they don't talk like that on the same page, make the daemon put his hand on Rhaenyra, I think that was over the top, it wasn't necessary and the moment the daemon lets go of rhaenyra, you can see in the eyes of the daemon and Rhaenyra that they are both suffering and Rhaenyra says she never told you that and she smirks because she's realizing that the viserys chose her as heir to the throne because viserys didn't tell the daemon and Rhaenyra thought viserys had told him because the daemon had 10 years as heir and Viserys and after those 10 years, viserys never told him so he keeps imagining in the daemon's head how my brother who i loved so much never trusted me right now the daemon must be very hurt because daemon always wanted to show his worth to viserys and he loves his brother the daemon and a person who he has a hot head, he is proud, but he also has feelings, but sometimes he ends up expressing it wrong, then the daemon loses another child because he already lost one, then he discovers that his brother died Then later he discovers that his brother never trusted him and that it hurts his heart and daemon is feeling all of this but he ends up putting everyone else these feelings in rhaenyra who is not to blame it's the moment he lets go she sees his eyes of sadness and before he leaves if you notice he looks down he looks at her belly Then he remembers the daughter they lost, Daemon didn't stay with Rhaenyra because he didn't want to make the same choice he made with Laena the daemon has truama in fact the daemon always had for those who don't know the daemon's mother died in childbirth so the daemon already has a trauma because he never wanted to have children, so the daemon didn't want to be with Rhaenyra so he wouldn't make the same choice there when Rhaenyra loses the child Rhaenyra Stays with the daughter since the daemon goes to the beach to suffer there that reminded me in the first episode of the throne scene there is a daemon and viserys is the daemon tells viserys that each person suffers in a different way, and it reminds me of the scene the two are suffering each alone but rhaenyra and daemon are grieving for their daughter unfortunately we didn't see much of the other side of the daemon this season because the writers and HBO preferred not to show in my opinion the most wronged is Matt Smith Mano he made several scenes of the daemon showing the sentimental side of the daemon him hugging his daughters is him on the beach grieving for the death of his daughter with Rhaenyra and he spends hours and hours on the floor grieving for visenya's death and we simply received in this episode just a quick scene of him grieving for his daughter in the book it says a lot that the daemon is a great father and that he loved his two Wives Laena and Rhaenyra unlike the series which showed very little and I think it's really sad because they're not showing the real daemon Of course he's hot headed and he's crazy but man he loves his family he would never hurt his family until the actor himself says that the daemon would give his life for Viserys is Rhaenyra and very sad what they are doing to this character. The Scene at the end was matt's idea he had an idea that who should break the news of luke's death should be the daemon there the writers and emma give up the idea there they did, if you notice it at the time of the scene when daemon enters in the room rhaenyra's attention goes all to the daemon because she knows that something has happened and on the way the daemon is approaching rhaenyra you notice that he puts a hand on his face indicating that he cried there when he got closer to rhaenyra he didn 't even be able to look us in her eyes I'm sorry for Rhaenyra, she lost her father and didn't even say goodbye to her father or go to the funeral, I don't even know if it was because she didn't attend Viserys' funeral and even more so Rhaenyra lost two children Luke is Visenya, In the Book Rhaenyra She blames the Greens for the death of her baby and if you think she is right because she lost the baby it was because of the Greens, her own brother stole the throne from her and Alicent hid Viserys' death, Rhaenyra is pregnant, we all know that a A woman cannot take too much emotion or stress because it is dangerous for the baby and she received the news right away. She lost the throne, Losing her father was a lot of emotion and stress for Rhaenyra, all because of the Greens, so yes, the Greens were to blame for her daughter's death, she would be the first girl child that Rhaenyra would have with Daemon. 1:27 Daemon thinks Viserys was murdered because the greens made Aegon king and they did everything too fast and locked everyone in prison, not to mention Viserys is dead and this is all suspicious, so of course Daemon or anyone else is going to think that Viserys was murdered because the Greens hid Viserys' death and they quickly put Aegon on the throne, And when no one says anything to Rhaenyra that her father died then it is very suspicious so I understand Daemon's side he is upset and angry is that now he wants revenge, that's what we can't forget that Daemon and Rhaenyra are in mourning but I also understand Rhaenyra's side of not wanting to go to war, what she was doing is right, a king has to keep the peace and Rhaenyra I was trying everything several times to avoid going to war and not having blood, but now it's too late now it's war because of the greens because Rhaenyra lost a lot and now she has to fight for her throne and for the lives of her children 2:28 what Rhaenyra said in that scene to me doesn't make sense she said that Daemon is crazy and that he is fighting his own war if you remember well in episode 7 Rhaenyra tells Daemon that she needs him and that she couldn't do it alone,so she's asking him for help, here comes this scene where Rhaenyra says Daemon is fighting his own war for me It doesn't make sense, Daemon is protecting his family, he's doing what she asked him to do in episode 7,I think it was a Script Hole because it doesn't make sense in my opinion 7:36 This scene with Rhaenyra was very beautiful, you can see that it was very different from Aegon, the two scenes are different, the music in both scenes is very good, that's what no one can deny, in Aegon's scene, no one gets on their knees for him, but in Rhaenyra's scene, everyone they get on their knees because she is the true heir to the Iron Throne, I also noticed the reference from episode 8 when Viserys's crown fell and it was Daemon who put the crown on Viserys and now it is Daemon putting the crown on his wife, his Queen 9:35 It makes reference to Episode 2, the difference between the two scenes and that in Episode 2 Rhaenyra was on Otto's side, now in this scene Rhaenyra is on Daemon's side 11:13 This scene references Episode 1, when Rhaenyra tears off a piece of the Book and gives it to Alicent.
