So, the dragon Daemon was singing to was Vermithor, and, while Daemon can't claim him, he can wake him up and get him more used to human company.
Vermithor, the Bronze Fury, is the second-largest dragon in the realm (not counting the Cannibal, who may or may. not exist in the TV show). He was last ridden by Daemon's grandfather. King Jaehaerys; and has been living in the caves of Dragonstone since the old king died. Vermithor's partner Silverwing lairs nearby and will hopefully be seen in Season 2.

Rhae and her dragon syrax are so connected that when she feels pain while miscarrying, syrax also feels that pain. Thats why you see flashes of Syrax when Rhae was pushing.
Out of the entire season, I absolutely love Princess Rhaenys and Lord Corlys the most. They kill every scene they're in. Even in the background of scenes, Steve Toussaint and Eve Best were acting their butts off. They created this strong partnership onscreen. I love how they are with the kids too. Their characters are incredible grandparents ❤
Lord Corlys is my TV-boyfriend. He's one of the few characters who will survive this mess. He and Rhaenys are a great couple...

We totally agree! They had a very strong relationship and were very balanced in a way. Rhaenys understood Corlys and his ways as Corlys understood her. They just have got dealt a bad hand in circumstances with their daughter and son (even though that boy is alive and well). Can’t wait to see how they impact season 2!!
@@DaKidsReact Yes, I listened to a podcast interview with Eve Best (Rhaenys) and she said when they were developing their character's relationship, Steve Toussaint and Best understood the reason they work so well is that she is a very strong, capable woman, and he is a strong, capable man. Strong masculine, strong feminine together in balance. That's cool.

rhaenyra is definitely the best potential leader she’s got the grit for it whilst her brothers are mentally unstable and horribly raised/mislead quite honestly..
even if viserys would’ve just let daemon and rhaenyra rule together things would’ve been good but instead he got with a family that wanted power (the hightowers) who then manipulated his new children to hate their sister and disrespect the targ side of the family to no ends. taking a cousins dragon from them when their mother the previous owner just died? these boys never knew how to act 😵💫
you must idiolize Rhaenyra the rapist, Daemon the serial killer, and Rhaenys who killed hundreds of common folk just to show an unnecessary 'girl boss' moment, while u think Alicent is stupid for following her father who was absolutely logical in what he said about Rhaenyra. Looks like you haven't read the books, Aegon is the smartest man in Westeros, and he wasn't even a rapist in the books, and with Otto as hand they are way better than Rhaenyra with her selfish attitude and Daemon who always wants to wage wars. Rhaenyra wasn't raised to rule at 14, she was whoring around irresponsibly and even raped Ser Criston and drove him to suicide.
It is true.. none of them really have any reasons to dislike each other.. especially the kids, but Otto & his manipulations caused all this drama.
Then why does she become 10 times worse at ruling than Aegon did

@@ThePointlessBox_to be fair neither Rhaenyra or Aegon truly had a chance to prove themselves a good ruler. They ruled when war broke out and their love ones dying left and right. One main reason Rhea’s rule was so bad, was because of the Tax raise. This automatically pissed off the small-folk even though that wasn’t really her fault the greens took all the money, it evidently lead to the small-folk raising against her and their dragons. A lot of the stuff Rhaenyra gets blamed for during her reign isn’t entirely her fault but the people on her team or the greens. There’s also the fact that Fire & Blood is written by unreliable narratives, and some have an ulterior motive to show the realm why women shouldn’t be in power, I mean look how Rhea and Alicent are written. I believe Aegon and Rhaenyra are on the same level as horrible rulers, Viserys failed all of his children and it lead to the downfall of House Targaryen.
21:50 that’s Vermithor, dragon of the old king Jaehaerys who we saw in the prologue. He’s the second largest living dragon after Vhagar.
You can see the difference between Daemon and other dragonriders like Luke and Aemond. His dragon does not even need to be called, Caraxes comes when Daemon wants. He has a true dragonlord nature.
Totally different situations. There’s no such a thing as someone having more “dragonlord nature” than others.

@@kiyamaguilherme not a different situation, Caraxes and Daemon's bond has been shown stronger in the show. Not everyone has it the same. Their bond has been a talking point in the books too. Maybe read it sometime
Im pretty sure the time you spent with a Dragon also helps considering Daemon has like 30 years with his dragon lol .
I believe these are 2 different circumstances. Yes I can agree Daemon is definitely more experienced with dragons of course but he has also spent a lot more time around dragons. But what we seen was that Vhagar and Arrax seen each other as a threat and they were protecting themselves in a way.
Just because you make a wild animal more obedient, doesn’t mean it won’t act out and snap. Those dragons were put into a fighting situation and their instincts kicked in.
12:38 - the Greens had one chance to reach Rhaenyra and hope for peace, but they should not have send Otto. They should have send Alicent. Mother to mother, they could have sorted this out.
1000%! The smarter more peaceful choice would’ve been to send Alicent BUT she couldn’t face her after what she did. Otto should’ve been the last person to go.
There's a sort of tragic contrast between Rhaenyra and her mother regarding their children. Aemma lost 5 sons and only had one living daughter, and before Luke's death Rhaenyra had 5 living sons and lost her only daughter, Visenya.
Smh rhaenrya went through so much in this episode, she deserved so much better the fact that she lost her mother, brother , father, still born daughter, her sweet boy Luke, iron throne all in a snap of a short time😢 then for her to find out that her friend betrayed her in the end cause she looked so hurt when she said “ alicent demanded for you to declare for aegon” the labor scene was heartbreaking even her mid-wives loved her sm they wanted to help her so bad but I think her fears were really high which is normal since her trauma is deeply rooted from her mother getting butchered giving birth. The crowning scene was so powerful and her just looking broken but powerful wearing her fathers crown was my fav scene, the choking scene was unnecessary to me even though I get why daemon was angry because let’s not forget he was trying to process what was happening and the lost of his daughter and brother hit him hard and rhae was talking like her dad in his eyes even tho she was being rational rather than head into war without thinking how it could affect the everything even the people of the realm which says a lot about her cause she said this multiple times on how the cost of war is greater but that still wasn’t ok for him put his hands on his wife smh, it goes to show that viserys never considered daemon his actual heir since he never told daemon about the passed down asoif dream, rhaenys realized that rhaenrya would make a good ruler because how she saw how rational and calm she was throughout while everyone was urging her to plunge the realm into war which is not good so she finally supported her and let’s not forget she was literally considering the peace terms from the greens even tho idk why alicent sent otto and that paper which i would’ve burned both of them lmao 🤣🔥😒cause Otto was really delusional in that scene cause if aegon was the true “heir” then why did his dad wait 20yrs until his deathbed in private to change the succession and why did yall had to rush and crown him quickly before rhae could know about it? It was normal back then to send a person of nobility or a royal as a guest when visiting another house because they would be treated as one and plus rhae thought they weren’t at war yet so she thought it would be fine that she sent her sons as messengers not warriors so I don’t think it was dumb because alicent sent her father to dragonstone and Aemond to stormsend so its not like rhae knew one of the greens would be there so idk why mean fans were saying she was stupid for it when it made sense to send someone in person out of respect and not some piece of paper that won’t mean anything and could be not taken seriously you know? Luke went out like a prince and wanted to carry out his moms wishes even tho he was so scared smh🥺Aemond thought is was funny to chase his nephew with a 100 something year old war dragon who does take it seriously with a baby dragon who retaliated out of fear like seriously what did he think was gonna happen? Rhaenyra is going to A LOT! She lost so many in a short span of time. She also was the most rational and levelheaded one in a mist of chaos. She held up herself well. Rhaenys loved seeing that as we did also. It showed her character big time in that moment. Daemon acting out like that was a little wild. Putting your hands on your woman wasn’t so wild back then (we don’t condone this of course lol), especially in the context of what was going on and what he was feeling. Daemon wanted to protect the name and house as any man would want.
The reason we thought it was dumb to send Luke is because he is so young and really can’t defend himself at all. I know sending someone of royalty to another house, they would be protected and well respected and received. But look at the times they were in. Very close to war, emotions high and “reminding” houses of their loyalty. It wasn’t a smart move imo. I said multiple times tho, Aemond took it too far chasing Luke in a storm like that. I don’t understand what he thought would come out of that. He clearly didn’t see the severity of the situation, he thought he was just antagonizing his little cousin as he has been doing. RIP to the kid Luke tho man! My boy was just trying to be a REAALLLL GENERALLLL! Lmao
Also rightfully so Rhaenyra is ready to fight. That was the first move to war. Even though Aemond didn’t mean to do what he did that is the first act of war. Alicent is going to be pissed at that man forever for what he did. But that man Aegon is about to have a field day when he finds out about this. He is definitely going to mock Luke’s death and plunge them deeper into war and hatred.

Another thing that got deleted for time are more scenes clearly showing that Rhaenyra’s stillborn daughter was a mutated half-dragon monster, just like Daenerys’s stillborn son Rhaego
We were wondering why she kept getting visions of a dragon as everything was going on. Makes sense!
@@DaKidsReact Thats her having visions of her dragon Syrax. Both were pregnant and are extremely connected, so they ended up giving birth and were suffering together.
@@DaKidsReact oh no that’s not related; that’s her dragon Syrax howling in pain due to Rhaenyra going into labor. When you bond with a dragon you have a low level, subconscious psychic link. Notice in episode 3 when Daemon takes an arrow in the shoulder, and his dragon Caraxes howls in pain
@@thefandomboy021Syrax wasn't giving birth. Dragons feel their riders pain, Syrax was feeling Rhaenyras pain that's all. I won't spoil, but in the book Dreamfyre and Vhagar are also reported to react to their riders pain. That is normal, because all dragons share an empathic connection with their riders.

As in any war, it begins with hate and anger, and ends in blood and tears.
The part that pisses me off about Otto is that he was just greedy. If he wanted to protect his Grandchildren by putting Aeagon on the throne, why didn't he prep the boy in ANYway to be king? He just wanted power and having his grandson on the throne was the easiest way. I honestly feel like Otto didn't start planning for this until he saw how unfit Aegon would be.
I have a personal theory about this...
All Otto's time and attention went to Aemond. Otto as a second son would feel he had more in common with Aemond. Aemond is dutiful, dedicated to both his studies and martial training, fiercely loyal to his mother and to his mother's House, and with Vhagar he can back up Aegon on Sunfyre in battle. Also, Otto obviously views the position of the Hand of the King being where the true power lies and is likely to put forward Aemond for that role after him. At Laena's funeral it is obvious he was completely disappointed with Aegon. As a symbol of Targaryen power (Aegon the conqueror's legacy) and as a figurehead for the might of House Hightower, Aegon has his place, but I don't think Otto respects him as a person or loves him as a grandchild at all. It would be sad if Aegon wasn't a complete degenerate. 😂 Even without the inclusion of him liking to watch children in the fighting pits, he is a pervert AT BEST. 😂

Lord Borros told them to leave due to the guest rite in westeros. If you come as a messenger and are killed in that keep that is grounds for war. Also remember what Viserys said in episode 1 "the idea that we control the dragons is an illusion" which is true as dragons are intelligent and have their own minds despite them being bonded to riders. The only reason Arrax blew fire was because he felt Luke's fear and anxiety, and his only thought was to protect his rider. Vhagar reacted that way because she's old and battled hardened and she was also feeding off of Aemond's emotions.
There are still heirs to driftmark, it will just move down the line of succession

Otto being so power hungry, brainwashed alicent so badly into thinking Rhae would kill her sons for being a threat but as you see now that that wasnt something Rhae would ever do. Now the greens have gone too far. This is all on otto. Aegon never wanted to be king. Alicent finally made amends with Rhae and now thats all out the window, her son killed rhaes son. Rhae needs her get back!
Except as we see it's definitely something Daemon could do.
Otto definitely manipulated and morphed Alicent and he children into being super defensive in circumstances that they didn’t need to be. He played the Game of Thrones very well, gotta give him that. 🤦🏾♂️ It is definitely time for some get back though, Aemond has to answer for what he did. Luke took Aemond’s eye and Aemond took Luke’s life sadly, that’s what it looks like from the outside looking in.

luke's dragon (Arrax) is small because of it's age. Unlike Aemond, Luke's egg hatched in his cradle when he was a baby while Aemond claimed Vhagar, the oldest lively dragon, after his egg went cold. The reason Vhagar is so large is because of her age
8:35 - experience counts. After 4 births, 5th one tends to be easier and faster to recover. So it's theoretically possible that Rhaenyra would be up quickly after premature birth.
7:54 Visenya was born dead, twisted, malformed, with a hole in her chest where her heart was supposed to be and a dragon's tail with scales.
Raena, Daemon’s 2nd daughter doesn’t have a dragon and can claim one of the unclaimed dragons on Dragonstone. All the other ‘children’ on Team Black dragon hatched when they were born so they are not fully grown
Aemond didn’t even want the eye he was just messing with Luc. The dragons took it somewhere else and they had no control at that point. I fear Aegon will be worse than Joffrey.

Poor Queen Rhaenyra she lost her father, her crown, & 2 children in the span of days! I love how you can see the dragons bonds with Syrax reacting to Rhaenyra in labor. Vhagar sensing Aemond’s hate & Arrax sensing Luke’s fear. I love that Daemon never has to call Caraxes or command him to spit fire he just knows a true dragon lord.
I wish Rhaenyra had sent Rhaenys to Storm’s end since she’s half Baratheon. That would’ve saved Luke. I love how Daemon listens to Rhaenyra & had proven he never wanted his brother’s throne just his love & confidence. Queen Rhaenyra would’ve been a peaceful queen who upheld her father’s legacy. & Jace a worthy successor cause Aegon the drunken rapist ain’t gon listen to Otto or Alicent for long if at all.

Hello again my friend, Daemon listened to Rhaenyra for sure...... especially her wheezing when he chocked her lol. Dameon manipulated and groomed Rhaenyra same as Oto groomed Alicent. Alicent cancer is her father and Rhaenyra cancer is her uncle lol

Daemon is not allowed in the vale which is one of the six kingdoms that rt will reign over. He was DENOUNCED as heir publicly by the King which is y Rhaenyra was named Heir in the first place. Which she wouldn’t. & alicent told Aegon as a teen jerking off on the people of KL that him simply existing means he is the challenge. So yes Alicent would’ve still raised her kids to hate Rhaenyra’s kids whether they had silver hair or not.
Yeah that last episode showed so much pain that Rhaenyra was going through, not even being able to properly grieve any of the situations before the next hit her. The bond between the dragons & dragon riders is a REAL THING. I understand her thinking in sending him but like you said it was to the wrong place. It would’ve been fine just that Aemond got there before him.
Yeah, Otto coming to dragonstone surprised us bc of what message he was coming to send to them. That scene was crazy seeing Ser erryk & his brother, ser Cole & daemon, Otto & Rhaenyra, the dragons, the tension! I agree w/ what Baela said as well, she was rightful heir & Alicent/otto & the realm knew that. Whatever happens from here on out is the result of usurping Rhaenyra & the death of Luke.
Otto is gonna cut his nose off to spite his face. He’s such an idiot and he made his family a target endangering his family because his own greed to be the true ruler of the seven kingdoms clouded his mind and he pimped out his daughter who was obviously unhappy but didn’t want to disappoint him and in doing so had children and is now paranoid and unhappy and a war is about to start all because Otto hated Daemon so much. But what’s so stupid about him is that he’s going against someone who has experience in war and he’s not to be underestimated in anyway meanwhile Otto is probably one of the worst hands of the king because he’s so arrogant lol I can’t wait for season 2 for this to backfire hard in his face
Season 2 is going to be amazing! Also I can agree that Otto drove his family into war over trying to get his blood on the throne. He sabotaged a lot in the process. It is also unwise to go to war with multiple experienced people on Rhaenyra’s side (Lord Corlys and Daemon) with the power they do. I think we will see what Otto has up his sleeve season 2 because Otto isn’t a dumb man. He knows what he’s going up against. But I can also say I wouldn’t say he pimped out his daughter, in this time this was seen as normal. I wouldn’t say the way he went about it was right but the marriage itself isn’t wrong. It was just unfortunate now knowing what Otto had planned all along. Loved hearing your opinion but season 2 will be 🔥

It's very interesting how people interpret facts differently.
I was team black from episode 1, I never trusted Otto and I always assumed it was very obvious that he was sleazy but seeing you guys go in a completely different direction was super interesting.
It was also very satisfying to see you switch from hating Rhaenyra to saying she should be queen.

"No heirs of Driftmark now?" Laena left two daughters and Rhaenyra still has Joffrey Velaryon. The second son of Baela and Jacaerys could have been the heir to Driftmark...Unfortunately, things won't work out that way, but Luke's death by itself would not have eliminated the heirs to Driftmark.
Otto is a snake. He was the one who suggested that Viserys should switch the succession from Daemon (a man) to Rhaenyra (a woman) when everyone in the council disagreed but Viserys listened to Otto anyway since he trusted him. Otto sent his daughter to seduce the king, because he knew well (just like everyone else in the council) that replacing Rhaenyra with any male child his daughter would give birth to, is waaaaay easier that overthrowing Daemon, he kept spying on Rhaenyra and Daemon and made a rift between them and Viserys. Otto started this war. Even tho I hate him, I still appreciate his character, he is a real player in the game of throne. Daemon always saw through him and Otto knows it too, that's why they can't stand each others 😂😂😂😂

What happened with Luke was 100% Aemond's fault. You do not sic a war dragon on another dragon and expect it to play nice. For Aemond it was fun, but for Vhagar it was life and death fight and she reacted accordingly.

And in his delusional drugged up state, he mistook Alicent for Rhenira because of the way Rhenira approach his beside the previous night asking him for help and talking about the prophecy!

A thing the show didn’t mention in the 10 year jump skip is that the starks almost had their own civil war, the lord that they mention Cregan was young when his father died and his uncle tried to take the north from him, so yeah the dragon deamon sings to is the second largest and to me he seems to be able to influence dragons that aren’t his because even rhaeynras dragon seems to react to his emotions where she even seems surprised, and one of the wild dragons is called cannibal for obvious reasons,

@@DaKidsReact killing a member of your family is one of the worst crimes you can commit and also killing your envoys is seen as bad, that even aegon the conquerer started a war because they killed his envoy, killing envoys basically means no more negotiating next time they try so send Otto or another envoy no one would blame them for killing them, no more talking and now one side basically has to wipe out the other
I think otto thinks the other lords would think like him once aegon is crowned that as long as the stronger lords side with him that even though she might have more dragons she wouldn’t have much of an army to hold and take lands, but there is still lords that will keep their oaths and what aemond did, didn’t help gather support but actually lose it, everybody knows who struck first
@@cristianbejarano2000 I definitely believe that Rhaenyra doesn’t need to explain herself. She can attack whoever she sees fits at this moment and I believe the Baratheon King that let Aemond leave is to blame for the whole interaction. He knew the tension between the two and somehow right after Luke leaves Aemond is right behind him.
Aemond knew as soon as Vhagar finished the deed what the future entailed. It will be a lot of bloodshed and it will be all on his hands essentially.

Aemond was blinded with rage and Anger towards Luke that is y he chased him what is Luke defense for going into the castle. Actually the girl attacked aemond after he took her mothers dragon on the night of their moms funeral and being a complete asshole about it....after he punched the girl... then Jace and luc defended those girls... they didn't bring a knife to the fight knowing who took vhagar.... aemon was older and bigger.. Rheanerya kids didnt start that fight but ended up defending the girls.. and aemon threatened to kill them and was about to hit him with a rock.... it wasn't the boys' fault. but again, aemon was the instigator just like he instigated the when luc died. Luc dragon was just trying to defend luc by throwing a lil fire at vhagar foe trying to antagonize him.

Rhaenyra should not have let Otto leave the Dragonstone. His family committed a treason against her and she is trying to be nice. Otto would be an important hostage.

That was the only scene that made no sense this episode imo but I think they let him leave because that scene didn’t happen like that in the book it was completely different in F&B Otto was no where near daemon or Rhaenyra
It totally made sense why she let him live. Otto came as envoy, the war haven't started yet and they're still under peace negotiations. Killing or taking Otto as hostage doesn't even effect House Targaryen (of Greens side) anyway but would only be seen as a insult to Hightowers (Old Town).

In the books Rhaenyra was giving birth on Dragon Stone she was angry and obviously hurt, she felt betrayed and loss! She was screaming for the baby to get out of her. When she finally came, her baby girl was similar to Daenerys’s baby in the show Twisted and scaled… like a dragon. “They killed my only girl”

Daemon might be a sociopath but he have his uses. He is the greatest dragonrider and is an experienced warrior. Better to have him as a ally than an enemy that’s for sure

I do agree however he groomed Rhaenyra. Otto is better at politics and gaining allies of noble houses but rarely threatens people; Daemon however is better at gaining support of the common people because of his charms and position in the city watch. He mostly likes to approach things like “ant meets boot” using his dragon as the boot to threaten people he see as enemies
