Kim, I had the same problem, thought I was going to die from lack of sleep our first three years of marriage. Steve stopped eating all dairy and four weeks later, Bam! All snoring disappeared!!! Happy wife, happy life!!! Hope this helps.
My husband as well! He couldn't sleep, couldn't lay down without gasping for breath. He stopped all dairy all at once and can lie down and can sleep without any snoring (unless it's allergy season, and even then it's not as bad as it was)

This is so funny! That last one reminded me of a story my parents told me where my dad would turn on this really bright lamp next to their bed while he was asleep at like 3 or 4 in the morning. My mom wears a face mask thing but it still woke her up every time. 😂
Snoring: this is serious. Both for the snorers and anyone experiencing a lack of sleep. Also, snoring itself can affect the snorer's own quality of sleep / oxygen deprivation, overall health, etc. Everyone needs a good night's sleep - it's a serious health issue if you don't get good rest - and is a contributor to so many other poor health issues. A few suggestions: 1) chin strap and nose plugs could be dangerous / lack of oxygen. Have you tried Breathe Right nose strips? Also a wide and steep wedge pillow to elevate you while sleeping? There are many online but go for the pricier orthopedic wedge style ones. The steeper designs the better. This helps my and my partner's snoring AND we sleep better too. Also, it can be genuinely face and chest wrinkle preventing if you're a side or stomach sleeper and can use a wedge pillow to train yourself to sleep face up. 2) My partner and I go to bed together but if one can't sleep because of the other's snoring or whatever reason, the awake person moves to another bedroom ( we BOTH snore and the first person asleep usually keeps the other one up). We both wake up at the same time anyway so we don't miss each other in the mornings. The separate bed thing is popular these days especially for snoring but also for all kinds of sleep incompatibility issues, and it's being called a "sleep divorce" in pop culture (there are even youtube videos on this including a CBS segment). But my partner and I don't like that name because it sounds negative when it's actually a huge positive. So we call it our "sleep staying together" arrangement. 😁 For something else of possible interest, check out the double or split mattresses and duvets / comforters of German and Scandinavian beds. There are even videos of these on youtube. (Search "german two beds") Apparently these are common and different from American beds. It's one bed, but two separate top mattresses, sheets, bedding, and comforters. So each person gets to have the mattress most comfortable to them AND their very own bedding all to themselves so that no one ever has to suffer the top sheet, blanket or comforter getting stolen by the other person, you can thrash all you want, and you can control the temp., layers, etc. Also, it's less disruptive to the other person if you're moving in bed or getting in and out (you don't feel the movement in your own mattress). SOO many benefits! I think this bed design idea is both total common sense and absolutely brilliant. 😁♥️💕
Huh, the German two beds in one system: no Dutch ovens either if someone is “gassy”! Brilliant! Also, separate beds / bedroom in general if someone is having a “gassy “ night, or any other things that can keep people up or disturbed.
