im on step 1, after I click submit, it gave me driver options, I only saw Windows, Rhel and Ubuntu, but Im using a mac. Which AMD driver is for Mac?

They do have NVIDIA Encoders that can help you stream or record!

i can't update my drivers it says the one from june 2021 is compatible with my cpu but when i install i get such goood fps in games and stuff but it freezes the whole pc every 2 seconds and i heard its cuz hp modifies their gpu so i can only download the one from 2015 on hp website help

Same, can't find Preferences or switchable graphics. It only shows games and no other programs. Can't figure it out at all
@Palamsterdam it doesn't support hardware encoding at all, I got a new card and it has the option
they got rid of that tab, i don't know why but you have to go to graphics settings in your actual windows settings to access it, doesn't matter for me though this whole thing didn't work
1. install AMD Software and click Custom and Install (Optional)
drivers.amd.com/drivers/installer/18.50/beta/radeon-software-adrenalin-2019-18.12.3-minimalsetup-181219_web.exe
2. Make sure Drivers Updated and make sure install Radon LIVE for Encoders
3. Make sure OBS updated to Latest Version
4. if dint see Switchable graphics Options Skip it if see it continue
5. install Plug in @ obsproject.com/forum/resources/amd-advanced-media-framework-encoder-plugin-for-obs-studio.427/
6. then you done should see encoder. i helped a friend mine fix this issue and works like charm.
if you having issues just double check on latest update AMD software and Graphics Drivers too and foll.ow all him says but if dint see option on 4. then skip it to next part then will show i would say do by Task manager Control power. but not recommended
and works for AMD Radon HD 7700 2gb Card if works with others comment below.

I did everything and I don’t see the encoder. It still says x264 and (use stream encoder) everything up to date and I followed step by step :(. Do u know what I did wrong

my amd doesn’t have the app thing anywhere- it just says copy all on the corner
I have a problem. When I use my primary gpu which is the rx 5700 xt the encoder shows up but when I add my secondary card (rx 560) they don’t show up
That's a very unique problem. I'm not sure about that answer, unfortunately. I'll do some googling and see if I can find anything.

Hi. Since you did this video in 2018, HAVE YOU upgraded *your* AMD driver to (possibly) the RYZEN?
I'm wondering because I, too, use OBS for streaming and other stuff but, CANNOT get obs to *recognize* my AMD hardware. Yes... I have updated my driver. (i use the ryzen for my graphics - laptop) And I have also downloaded the latest encoder for obs. Nothing seems to work.
What can _I_ do to help OBS *see* my hardware?
If I'm not mistaken. Ryzen is a processor only which classifies as x264. AMD makes their Radeon gpus and their RX line that are GPUs. So unless you have an AMD graphics card, x264 will use your Ryzen CPU
@@ScrapyardFilms Hi. Thank you for your reply. Yes - I *do* have an AMD graphics card in my laptop. After searching again, I was (finally) able to get the encoder I needed to make OBS see my stuff. My OBS is working again.

My Radeon Settings don't have the Switchable graphics, That's probably because I'm on a desktop PC, CPU 2700x, GPU RX 5700XT, Could you maybe do this all again but on a desktop, Or is it not applicable?

Would this help my poor live streams and pixelated gameplay running my rx5700xt pulse and gameplay is fine but wow the live stream picture is trash
If you chose to encode with your GPU, then yes, this would most likely benefit you. Make sure to raise your bit rate to around 4000-5000 area, too

Hi quick question, how about if I'm using an AMD processor but it doesn't have a built in graphics component. I'm using a Geforce 1060 6gb and my processor is AMD Ryzen 7 2700X?
Then you won't see an AMD encoding option and instead you'll most likely see a n NVENC option

Processor is a CPU and a graphics card is a GPU. If you see x264 as an option, that is your processor.

I with there was more I could help with. The only thing I can think of is downloading an older version of OBS and making sure it's a 32-bit version
Gaming > Game Explorer > Add > Browse. That's it, you now should have AMD encoding if you done previous steps

My Radeon software is quite different from yours. And there is no options right clicking over OBS app.

I have an AMD Ryzen 5 1400, and the Ryzen master (which is the software for it), won't let me do anything with OBS

To be safe, you usually don't want to choose the beta software. I'd stick with Catalyst Software Suite.

If you've done all these steps then I am not sure what else you can do.
Possibly revert beck to an older version of OBS. Download them here: www.videohelp.com/software/Open-Broadcaster-Software/old-versions
And make sure you download and install a 32BIT version of whatever old OBS you install

Even though you have a x64bit system, still try a x32bit version of OBS that's a vcouple versions old.
Smart move posting on the forums. Hopefully someone can let you know if your hardware is supported

hi buddy, i have a big problem with obs, my gpu is radeon rx 580 8gb and when i start transmission the error is "woops, OBS has crasheds" and it does not let me start the transmission, I have searched everywhere for a solution and I have not found it, I need your help if you can, I will be eternally grateful

I'm not sure what the issue might be then. You can try chatting/emailing OBS support because they're really good about fixing issues with their program
