Great job as always and id trow them in a new acumlater to since it's rusty and a dryer and clean the evap and they should be good I do have a idea u can start coating the coils in protection spay from corrstion if want to 😊

How that work out for your Lions? I’ll give you that they played their asses off and made it very tough for the Niners today. That bites. I don't think I ever found a condenser leak like that on a real copper coil condenser in 10 yrs ive been doing service
The guy who recently cleaned that evap coil may have caused the leak by the time you pay for the coil ,fan motors, dryer and should do the accumulator as-well as the laber cost how much more to just junk the entire thing

Dave, you need to a video on the maintenance of the H10. How often do you change the filter and the cost etc. That would be a nice video.

Whatever these new units gain in efficiency, they lose to short lifespan and constant service calls. Better to keep the old stuff running as long as possible, it will probably outlast the replacement! Total junk.

hi Dave ,,how many Hrs you usually work at the day job?... I had to quit my day job ,almost every day had overtime,, I also was picking up to many customers on my own, coudn't keep up....how you do it?? especially in the summer everyone is calling with a emergency....keep up the good work

Excuse my HVAC ignorance. Why not tare some fins apart and repair, new dryer, new accumulator and move on with your life?
It’s just a waste of time and money. You’ll be back with another leak. I do it all the time it’s a temporary repair.
Great Video !!! Wow, absolutely disgusting that a 6-7 year old Condenser has a Leak Allready. Definitely worth a Phone call to see if they would warranty it & Vent to them. Give them a piece of your mind. Customer I’m sure is not particularly happy & You should convey his unhappiness to Copeland or whoever made that Piece of junk condensing unit. Shit Rolls down hill , time to give them some shit !
I’ve got 20+ Year old Condensing units from Heatcraft everywhere that are Still ALL Original Recipe.
Note: that unit is ACTUALLY an indoor unit & NOT Rated for Outdoor. I know we been doing it for years. Dog housing indoor units and plopping them on roofs.
Maybe the OUTDOOR Heatcraft OR Trenton units would be a better choice for your customers in the future.
Maybe - the indoor units have thinner copper on the coils now. ( not rated for salt air on a roof ) something to think about.
Maybe OUTDOOR units are Made more robust nowadays & they are cheaping out on the indoor units BECAUSE people have been buying INDOOR units & putting them on roofs & they are not selling enough outdoor units.
if u think about it - they loose a ton of money if People can just throw a indoor unit on the roof.
Food for thought - it Might be unwise for us to continue using INDOOR UNITS OUTDOOR.
I am now after seeing this video.
Condenser copper is probably thinner on INDOOR rated condenser coils.
Note: Better order a SUCTION ACCUMULATOR TOO. It Would suck if the accumulator starting leaking next week. That accumulator is at the end of its life. They are only rated for 5-8 years. They actually put that in the literature when u buy one. I saw that on the paperwork the last accumulator I put in.

that unit is at the end of its life you would have to charge thousands to fix it and if the comp. goes down in 6 months
you will have one un happy customer. If it is an indoor unit put outside like he says then there is no warranty
