Photoshop has been known as the go to for artists but clip studio is really climbing up the ranks. I love it!

@@Yuunarichu That would be freaking amazing but I am afraid it wont be possible retrospectively as it most likely do not have stored all the steps.
I do hope it will store new works in similar manner to Procreate tho * -* and also I really cannot wait to see the release date * -*
forgeting to record is one thing, but it's not like you know beforehand if you want to record something and then edit it too with the screen jumping all around the canvas. So i'm hyped as much for that feature

@@studiolarrikin9420 it's called liquify brush in clip studios asset .. . It's not smooth like the liquify in photoshop. But it works for me most of the time.

I moved from Photoshop to Clip Studio paint because of Adobe's despicable subscription model: Now Celsys has just announced they are moving to the subscription model - negating the very reason I moved to them in the first place. What's the point in even using CSP now?
Well, on the bright side, we can still continue to use the current version for a while. Even after they stop supporting it, it'll probably still be usable for a good while considering ppl run older versions of Software like Adobe Flash, Photoshop and Paint Tool Sai on modern pcs without much issue.

I still have my Photoshop CS6 on an older computer and it works fine: I'll still use CSP unless Celsys tries something with that version - but neither Adobe nor CSP is getting another cent from me (I bought Photoshop 3 times in 10 years to keep up with Operating systems) their subscription model was the final straw for me.

I've mentioned this in other comment sections but I feel like if they just announced each version would be sold for a separate perpetual license while still receiving free updates (I.e. different versions but no subscriptions), there wouldn't have been nearly as much backlash.
Version 1 lasted for like 10 years so I think MOST ppl would be fine paying for this thing like once a decade or so. Though, I'm not sure if that'd make sense from a business standpoint.
Please tell us if the Timelapse feature and the Photoshop brush imports are for PRO version too. I'll be really disappointed and mad if its only for EX.

I just update my clip studio paint pro all the features is there. The time-lapse is but haven't try upload any of the photoshop brushes yet

OMG I'm so excited! clip studio has always been the program for me, the one and only I ever really used, now as expanding myself and doing some professional courses, I had this struggle in finding equivalent brushes (this courses are meant for photoshop users, so the teachers share their abr. files) I'm looking forward for this update
Timelapse is a big YES, i wanted that feature for...years! Im so excited. And also import PS brushes! CSP is goood, but still keeps getting better and better.
I needed hair brushes from Photoshop now I can directly import....thank you so much it will help me make semi realistic anime much better 👏🏻....for being self-taught artist

Clip Studio is great software. I think it is truly special software. I like the deep level of customization so I can work the way I want to work. I would suggest a few feature improvements though. I think it needs a brush history. Ruler units jump from 0 - 10 which might be fine for mm, but it does the same for inches which is not usable to easily know the size of an object. Also when scaling an object, there's no readout that shows the size of the object as you scale it. I think also that it's time for a performance upgrade. Clip Studio struggle when dealing with vector brushes. Other than a handful of things though, it's great, super stable, highly flexible software.

Winter 2020 starts on Monday, December 21, 2020 (in 25 days) and ends on Saturday, March 20th 2021 (in 113 days) can be anyday between those dates

When does the Christmas Holiday sale start?
We all want something similar to Photoshop's liquify but I would settle for a smoother mesh transform tool with more contact points in the mesh wire frame. It gets really choppy when I use that tool & I end up ruining my art piece. The plus side is it forces me to really paint to correct my piece instead of relying on that tool. However saving time is important though.
Okay, but does it import the whole PS brush emulating it's settings or is it just a fast import of the brush tip?

Why Clip Studio Paint? Coz I'm just a hobbyist and Adobe Photoshop is freakin' expensive.
Now, if only there's a one-time purchase of Clip Studio Paint for Android version, I'll buy it in a heartbeat.
I want to know how the time-lapse will affect the program AND computer speed/space. That’s ALOT of data and CSP is already a big program. So will the TL be stored within the program files automatically or will we have to hit a record button like on the auto actions? And how will the TL be saved? As a MP4? Will we be given options as far as file type? Will we be able to change the settings of the TL as far as speed? Is this feature going to require more memory on the computer/devices?
I honestly don’t think I’ll upgrade until I see some feedback on other CSP forums. Or I’ll upgrade one of my computers but not the other.
As far as the other features, eh. I’ve been importing AND exporting PS and other program brushes for a while now lol so that’s not all that exciting for me. Makes things a TINY bit easier but all you really need to do is download a PS brush and convert it for importing into CSP and just copy the stats in the properties box. There are at least three youtubers that I’ve watched where all they do is make every tool in PS, maya and other programs and show how you can make the exact same tools in CSP.
But I trust CSP so hopefully the TL feature will be kick ass just like the program itself!😎✌️

you need 3 things (4 for me and some people that hates keyboards and the useless express keys on the tablets)
to finish burying photoshop;
1) Liquify
2) some decent filters
3) alignment tools
4) TABMATE( new version with a integrated software similar to joy2key COMPATIBLE WITH ALL DIVICES AND SOFTWARE, and rechargable)
pd: i use my tabmate with PS(with joy2key) and now i cant live without this thing.. fyi, joy2key works better than the csp integrated software for mappin..(more options and costumization and you can use it with all programs you want)

Is this an easy to use on a phone? Bc my art tablet hooks up to my dad's computer and I cannot download stuff on his so I use my phone now. (Bc I have a chromebook it doesn't support the tablet, I've been thinking of getting a new tablet, and maybe seeing if I can sell mine since I've only used it a few times)

I agree with almost everything it says in the video, except the 3D objects.
They are slow and a bit difficult to control and the problem is not my video card (6700XT 12GB) because games and 3D modeling apps work very well.
I'm currently using a 3rd party app to use as a 3D reference and then import into CSP.
Please make the mobile version a one-time purchase.
I love the program, but there is like 0.25 sec pen latency in comaprison to PS, can you reduce it please ))
the only problem I've seen with clip studio is there's so damn much in it its hard to know how to use certain things.
you will not find mesh transformation on the sidebar it's hidden in the drop-down menu.
But there's so damn much and it keeps updating new features And the shop that lets you download/buy brushes/models. even if you know how to do certain things odds are good there's a tool you don't know about so its always worth checking out related how to's like how to do comics could show how to use the boarder/frame tool MUCH more easily or how to get the most out of your settings

I hope this support on android version 8.0 in the future bcuz It's lot easier on the phone while waiting someone so that I can catch up my works. Im the type of person that not going to bring laptop everywhere unless there's some sort important meetings with client.
Photoshop deserves this punch in the face! 😂🤣😂 Don’t get me wrong. I love photoshop for my clients and often switch between the two programs, however Photoshop’s pricing system has significantly turned me off. They want WAY too much money. However with that said, I pay the monthly fee for the iPad version of Clip as well as lifetime desktop and it is by far worth supporting. The vector pen alone makes it a gold star program! Now with this new record feature - this will give Procreate a run for their money! One thing to make this the perfect program is if Clip Studio could make the vector work with Adobe Illustrator. They’ll be laughing all the way to the bank and I’ll gloriously watch Photoshop fall! 😁😈 PS - there are some major glitches with the iPad Version on Clip. You seriously need to work this out if it hasn’t already. Files completely disappear from my One Drive and constantly tries to open closed programs. I’ve had to delete the App 3 times.
Photoshop is an excellent program from what I’ve heard, but it is definitely overrated. The fact that it’s been out for years and they still haven’t added a one-time purchase is disgusting. So many artists go broke and these companies aren’t making things better by sucking our wallets dry. I’m glad that Photoshop has worthy competition. CSP will definitely surpass it someday. Let’s just hope it doesn’t go down the same route as PS.
