Single-player narrative game built on the bones of an old MMO engine.
Couldn't say it better myself. They really should just do away with the 'campaign quest' system, and go back to the more generalized storytelling that old expansions did. No more of this 'you are _the_ hero of Azeroth' bull and shuttling everyone into their own instanced zone in the story, it just detracts from the fact this is supposed to be a massively-multiplayer game even further than many of the gameplay changes have done.
That might have been the most confusing intro narration I've ever heard in a game.

that's been the problem with WoW's team since like a decade ago, the game(Expansions)have been on powerful foundations(like the gameplay is fluid and smooth, decent MMORPG systems and foundations, Art Style, Music, Universe, Lore, etc)and it made them complacent because they could have millions of players by just doing relatively the same type of content but with different themes, and ever since somewhere around 2017 it started to become obvious to even some of the most hardcore fans that the developers are barely trying
it's kinda like inheriting a powerful empire and even if you do a job, its still powerful enough to last decades

@quizkill that's not the point. Point is there are franchises with a backstory or current narrative of war that received a DW like game. And WOW could really benifit from it.

the problem with WoW developers is that they look at expansions as just some new content(that are just usually pretty much what you're used to but with a new theme and story and game systems), like its a 20$ dlc, but they should look at it like its a new game and make something that doesn't feel too familiar, its gotten too repetitive
That's what war within is. It feels like a massive departure from the traditional expansion.

@@quizkill A world of Warcraft for new player who never played the game before, A start from the beginning with Tuto etc… something that can be like D4, where we have choice to play solo and aren’t forced to play in Multiplayers but with possibilities to meet players in online mode just like D4, where we aren’t overwhelmed with millions of things and mechanic to learn like POE

This game needs to update it's gameplay. The name of the game is physics and hit boxes. Tab target, cool down, dice rolling is severely outdated.

No point there. I'm 58 years old and playing Elden Ring DLC right now. This game is for kids who want to kill everything easy without a fight. War Within is a joke just like all the other expansions.
