Honestly, it was the exact same for me! I was 7 when I discovered the Creepypasta and at the time it terrified me (I couldn't be in rooms alone and seeing the title screen/character would throw me into fits of panic). Then when I was 8-9 I just started...really liking it for some reason? Like, to an intense amount. I would reread round 2 very frequently, find any content I could, hell I even started writing a fanfiction when I was younger and created whole new lore/OCs for it. It was something I was really passionate about! Nowadays I get why the story gets so much hate (though the concepts hold a special place in my heart, the story wasn't exactly a masterpiece) but seeing this mod jump into popularity just makes me feel happy inside.

I like how this mod uses the "improved" lore, sprites, and music of Sonic.exe, that fans have made while combining elements of the creepypasta with the new "parasite copy in the game" lore. Love the inclusions of the other Exes and even the "Majin Sonic"/"Fun is Infinite" easter egg Sonic. Very well done this mod!
Yesss, in "Too Slow," theres tons of references to the original OST. The first part is the theme song that plays in Eggmans part, but slightly altered to fit the FNF style of singing. Then it speeds up, Sonic laughs, and the drowning theme plays in the background. Just like in the original, as Tails tries, and fails to run from Sonic. Then the "I AM GOD." part happens, such a nice touch. I love all the work that was put into this mod. Incredible work to the devs!
Don't forget the last jumpscare with sonic.exe appearing on your screen that was a reference of the devianart video an ordinary battle amongst familiar hills.
This mod feels really well done. I love how they made the songs it sounds really creative all the same. The first song “too slow” (which I love) was a match up with the tails walking alone in the burning forest theme and the other was the drowning theme from the original Sonic games and it sounds like a bop to me. Also love the animations. It’s smooth, creepy and epic how these are put together that including the sprites. I also love how they added the other creepy pasta “fun is infinite”. It’s nice to see that this mod focuses on not just one creepy pasta and it’s amazing how they added the sound test extra into this one mod. I’m saying too much but this is really nice and really put together. Cheers to the talented devs who worked really hard on this.

I love endless because there Is some sandopolis bass in there and sonic sound effects. And Majins (Fun Is infinite sonic) voice is using instruments from sonic 3 and knuckles and I love it. And I am glad to see a cultured person in the comments. I used to LOVE sonic the hedgehog and I still do to this day. I used watch a bunch of sonic .exe videos. And they weren't even scary! But this mod made it way more scarier than the creepypasta itself. And I love the sound test bit where you can access the endless. And it's just like sonic cd where if you enter a specific code you will get The "Fun is infinite" Screen. So this is probably my most favorite mod by. I love how too slow uses instruments from sonic 2 and sonic and knuckles the drowning is basically from every sonic game. So I can tell the devs put a lot of work in to this mod.
i know i'm late and stuff but majin is actually not a creepypasta as it exists in a sonic game i forgot the name of, so basicly majin's design was originally based of a person who works at for the game, so this was made as a joke but majin's face is what creeps out young players, the english version of the music is very spooky but when you change country the song plays something funky.

The only thing I absolutely do not like about fnf is the very toxic kids that cry over anything and everything, and those shitty animations as well. Other than that, it really brings many old things back to life, like madness combat or other classic creepypasta’s like this, and I really love the fact that these mods add their own mechanics and even cutscenes. EVEN VOICE ACTING. Despite the community literally killing itself faster than any community out there due to many bad apples in the bunch, mods like this never fail to impress me

the antipiracy sonic looks more like some gameshow host, he isn't even creepy anymore, all he's missing is a comedically large (but not too large) bowtie to go with his look.
Part of what made him eerie is the pixelated look. It leaves alot of the face covered and you only really see the highlights, so it leaves more up to interpretation and makes it overall look more shadowy. The sprite has no harsh lighting or thick outlines, so the face is alot less creepy and easily distinguishable. Either that or I'm just spitballing here.
Fun fact: The sonic in Endless wasn't planned to be scary. This is proven by how it used the boss theme in both versions, with the JP release having way more catchy boss theme, but the US having a horifying one.
I like how the fnf fandom either takes well done mods and good people and ruins it with controversy, or takes bad things (in this case, edgy cliché creepypasta) and makes awesome things
I find it interesting that the songs get easier as you progress, with too slow being the hardest and execution being the easiest. Too Slow: Longest song, hardest charting, jumpscares, moving arrows, arrows that when missed blind you for a second. Endless: Second longest song, charting is not as hard as Too Slow but still fairly challenging for some, about half way through the notes change to one single colour which could make it harder to read. Execution: Shortest song, really easy charting, no special arrows or effects like in the previous 2 songs.
Sonic.exe's rubberface shapeshifting is SO DISTURBING!! Given the creepypasta and the hd version where the graphics did show the gruesome shapeshifting, and his deep voice, I do know he's gonna sound creepy, but still! Uugh!
4:00 that's actually clever. it actually got me. i was actually checking if my chrome is lagging then *BLAM* jumpscare. I like that one. Good mod, i just don't like the Sonic.EXE design used here. It turned into a deformed monstrosity rather than the cold-blooded psychopath the original (the one i'm used to, the game) was going for. Majin Sonic is funky though, i love endless so much.

This mod is honestly so well made its insane. To the coding of making the original friday night funkin screens look different to the music + charting. This might just be my favorite mod of all time. I can go on and on about how awesome this mod is forever. It even came to the point that i had a DREAM about this mod. I loved creepypasta as a kid and it's just amazing to see sonic shine again.
Fun fact : the song "too slow" is a remake of the music in the 3rd level with Eggman in sonic.exe: the spirits of hell. I love how the developer did make references in an actual rythm game.

Other than that, it really brings many old things back to life, like madness combat or other classic creepypasta’s like this, and I really love the fact that these mods add their own mechanics and even cutscenes. EVEN VOICE ACTING.

the antipiracy sonic looks more like some gameshow host, he isn't even creepy anymore, all he's missing is a comedically large (but not too large) bowtie to go with his look.
Part of what made him eerie is the pixelated look. It leaves alot of the face covered and you only really see the highlights, so it leaves more up to interpretation and makes it overall look more shadowy. The sprite has no harsh lighting or thick outlines, so the face is alot less creepy and easily distinguishable. Either that or I'm just spitballing here.

I find it interesting that the songs get easier as you progress, with too slow being the hardest and execution being the easiest.
Too Slow: Longest song, hardest charting, jumpscares, moving arrows, arrows that when missed blind you for a second.
Endless: Second longest song, charting is not as hard as Too Slow but still fairly challenging for some, about half way through the notes change to one single colour which could make it harder to read.
Execution: Shortest song, really easy charting, no special arrows or effects like in the previous 2 songs.

Sonic.exe's rubberface shapeshifting is SO DISTURBING!! Given the creepypasta and the hd version where the graphics did show the gruesome shapeshifting, and his deep voice, I do know he's gonna sound creepy, but still! Uugh!

that's actually clever. it actually got me. i was actually checking if my chrome is lagging then *BLAM* jumpscare. I like that one. Good mod, i just don't like the Sonic.EXE design used here. It turned into a deformed monstrosity rather than the cold-blooded psychopath the original (the one i'm used to, the game) was going for.
Majin Sonic is funky though, i love endless so much.

This mod is honestly so well made its insane. To the coding of making the original friday night funkin screens look different to the music + charting. This might just be my favorite mod of all time. I can go on and on about how awesome this mod is forever. It even came to the point that i had a DREAM about this mod. I loved creepypasta as a kid and it's just amazing to see sonic shine again.
This actually has a lot of effort in it! Love how it's more of a reference to the PC Port version.
