TRIP REPORT | SURPRISING Lufthansa A340-600 Flight | Berlin Tegel to Munich | Economy + Business!

- Detailed Trip Report of my Lufthansa A340-600 domestic flight from Berlin Tegel to Munich! Most Surprising thing about this flight? I flew in Economy Class, Premium Economy and Business Class on this short 50 minutes long flight! Thanks a lot to the great cabin crew for makeing this possible! The Airbus A340-600 is usually used on long haul flights but due to high demand they sometimes use it on the domestic route from Munich to Berlin! I took this opportunity to fly the A340-600 for the very first time. And the experience for me was AMAZING - but see for yourself! The service on this flight in Economy includes a small snack (Pick Up) and a drink (included in the price). Seats for the Wing Views were 37A (Economy Class) and 7A (Business Class). After some hours of sight seeing in Munich i took the new ICE Sprinter back to Berlin the same day. New rails make a journey time of around 4 hours possible (included in this video).

haha. yes - but many planes depart there every day. Anyways - as you might know i flew Air Berlin for the last time on 27. October 2017 - which was their last day, but not last flight :D

Ich finde das Produkt von Lufthansa sehr überzeugend. Ich hatte vorletzten Dienstag einen Flug nach LAX mit dem A380 von Lufthansa und obwohl der Flug 12 Stunden gedauert hat, fand ich ihn sehr angenehm. Der Sitzabstand war ganz gut und der Service war ziemlich gut. Es gab sogar heiße Tücher. Zurück bin ich mit United (789) geflogen und man hat einen Unterschied in Sachen Service gemerkt. Auch die Freundlichkeit war bei Lufthansa deutlich besser.

Ich werde im Mai die LH A330 auf der Langstrecke fliegen. Bin sehr gespannt!

Der Flug war ja zu 99% perfekt! (100% perfekt wäre er gewesen, wenn du mit ner Sonderlakierung geflogen wärst.) Super Video, weiter so!

Ah yes they put the A340-600 on this route because of the increased demand after Air Berlin went out of business.
I've flown on 7(4,5,6,7,8)7's and A3(30,40,80)'s but the lufthansa A340-600 is stil my favourite one of them all

Did you hit 300km/h with Ice Sprinter? I’ve never chosen plane between Munich and Berlin. Meybe I should try it. Downtown2downtown (Berlin-Munich) in now faster on the train since they cut the journey time by 2 hours.
+TGV McNamara we did hit 300km/h several times but still we were mostly driving at around 180km/h which surprised me...
Yeah, because Munich to Halle(Saale) is fast and Halle(Saale) to Berlin is slow. Did you have delay?

I guess you mean the S-Bahn to the city center? That was the S8 to Herrsching. But all the S-Bahn trains from the Airport go to the main station. Just depends where you really need to go. You can find it all online or ask someone when buying your ticket ;)
Yes! This one. Do you know Holiday inn Munich City Centre hotel? I will stay there! So I have to get the S-Bahn to get there?

Take the S-Bahn S1 or S8 to the Station "Isartor" From there it is a 700m walk to the Hotel

wo kann man solche ich sage mal "außnahme" domestic flights buchen? xD Ist schon eine gute Möglichkeit unterschiedliche heavies auszuprobieren ohne gleich um die halbe Welt zu fliegen :D
+Rasenmaeher 33 Auf jeden Fall. Auf einer Berlin Spotterseite (planeboys.de) werden solche AC changes immer angekündigt. Dann schnell bei Lufthansa geschaut, welches Datum den besten Preis bietet und gebucht (da steht auch immer der Typ dabei). Vor Änderungen bist du allerdings nicht 100% sicher. Bis jetzt hat es aber immer geklappt (747 und A340) :)

sehr schönes, aufschlußreiches Video. leider sieht man hier, daß "Meine" Hansa halt produktmäßig hinterherhinkt. Die First ist beim Wettbewerb halt so viel luxuriöser siehe Air France La premier, Singapore oder Emirates. Die Premium eco ist nichts besonderes. Bei AF deutlich besser sitzmäßig und das wesentlich bessere Catering. Ich bin kürzlich premium von LAX nach Fra geflogen mit LH. das Essen war das gleiche wie in Eco. OK Porzellan, ja. Mein Hinflug mit AF in Premium war super. Champagner bis zum abwinken. und teilweise Menukomponenten aus der Business.
Wenn ich heute Tegel sehe, dank deines Videos , kommen immer Erinnerungen auf als wir von Tegel mit Concorde (SONDERFLÜGE!) nach LHR geflogen sind. Oder T.W.A. mit L-1011 nach JFK : Leider stellt LH die Verbindung Nach JFK ab Tegel wieder ein!!!!! Ist schon krass.....

Habe ich schon mitbekommen, dass viele mit den Premium Produkten eher unzufrieden sind...
Das mit JFK ist wirklich schade... Aber bei den Preisen die sie bieten und scheinbar trotzdem den Flieger nicht füllen können ist komisch... Immerhin bleibt United und über den Sommer kommt ja wieder Delta und Air Canada Rouge dazu.

+güni lp naja. Wenn der Flieger voll ist setzt man nen größeren ein. Ich vermute mal, dass der Flug aus München noch voller war, denn das war einen Tag vor der ITB Messe!

+thai john look. If it helps you: My shoes were clean and only on the couch for these 10 seconds for demonstration purposes. After that i was busy recording the landing with no time to use the couch. If i would have had the time of course i would have taken off my shoes!
