There's an episode of the Simpsons in season 11 called E-I-E-I (annoyed grunt). The title makes more sense now!
i love the old Simpsons. the episodes in the 90's were godly
i have a feeling he's going to be around for a long time folks: he's a vegetarian, he is abstinent from alcohol, he practices tai-chi, and he is always exercising...
lol the opposite of homer
Hmm, not quite, but he's definitely one of the most recognizable voice actors we have. And god bless him for giving credit to James Findlayson for the inspiration for the "annoyed grunt". Maybe some of this generation will go and seek out some Laurel and Hardy films and shorts because of that -- and that would be a good thing.
D'oh was also used as an emoticon for Yahoo Mail. It's a smiley face scratching its head.
That's interesting that D'oh! is written out as "annoyed grunt" and that isn't the dictionary (I still can't believe that word is in a legit English dictionary) definition.
If it makes you feel any better, there's really no such thing as a "legit English dictionary" -- dictionaries only list words *as they're used* and not necessarily *correct* usage. That's why we have BS like "literally" meaning "figuratively" now. Dictionaries don't care what's *right* but only how things are used.
He's this generation's Mel Blanc.
the truth has been revealed
If Hollywood had a Voice Actors' Hall of Fame, Dan Castellaneta should definately be included, along with many other big names, like Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, and so many others.
I thought Homer says D'oh because Homer eats too many D'ohnuts.
I can't believe they don't actually write it as "D'oh." How interesting.
the originality of D'oh is "damn", wow i cant believe not many in the world cant say damn
This guy makes 8 Million dollars a season and deserves it!!!!!

meat eaters are more likely to have diet-induced health problems than vegetarians. but just saying you're a vegetarian does not mean you're healthy. but i have a feeling that his diet is a healthy one since other factors of his life are very healthy.
