yes, THAT's who she reminds me of! The long legs, slim torso, and almost perfect execution - she's so similar to Nastia back in 2008!
Many people doubt Ashton's abilities on beam. But this amazing routine proved all those people wrong.

She's so elegant, the most elegant U.S. gymnast at the moment in my opinion now that Kyla Ross and McKayla Maroney have retired. I hope for that reason Ashton Kutcher Heather Locklear makes the Olympic team, but with only 5 spots available who knows. And it may only be 2 spots up for grabs since Biles, Douglas, and Raisman are probably all a lock to make the team barring disaster.
With the exception of the bhs loso it was gorgeous. I doubt it, but it would be really cool to see her add in the Arabian she did at camp in 2015.
Awesome. I love her UB work too, and hope to see her at Worlds in 2017. Hopefully she can medal there.
her toe point is exquisite. i wouldn't mind her edging out Kocian for Rio just on flexibility alone. A little more upgrade on beam and she can do it

+Lisa S if Kocian gets her all around back the spot is hers. Martha doesn't like girls who can't do any event if needed. And Ashton falls into that category.
Ilise Angel No, her vault and floor just aren't needed. Besides, she can't even hit her beam right now. Let's focus on that for now. That's more important.

I kindly disagree, she will bring an UB bars specialist to compete with China for the Team Medal. That person IMO is Ashton. It has nothing to do with getting a medal in EF. We brought Maroney because we needed that Amanar, b.c. Russia was so good.
Also, it is hard to compare Maroney to anyone, she was that GREAT of a vaulter, Ashton is needed for the score in TF.
She is not a World Champion of Bars.
Anna Li was not getting anywhere near upper 15's, maybe mid 15's but she was not even used in Worlds. They used Vega.

As much as it would have been great to see her compete in the Olympics, it was absolutely the right decision to choose her as an alternate. Madison had higher start value, could compete for bars gold… and could do all four events. The back injury really made it nearly impossible for this wonderful young lady and it’s sad to see as she had great form and technique.
Great routine! Straighten the bent legs on the flight series and side aerial and she's got a much better shot at Rio!

I do not think it is so Ashton can medal, I think it is so the US can contend Gold with China. If Ashton is brought to Rio she WILL compete bars in Team Final
Ashton can do bars and beam, while Kocian can really only do bars and have a good routine. Floor doesn't ever score above a 14.5, she only has a full twisting Yurchenko on vault, and she doesn't even score as high as Ashton on beam when she hits. Madison got a 13.550 on beam here with a fall, so she'd only get a 14.550... and Locklear got a 14.7+. Then on to bars, Madison has the most difficult bar routine in the U.S.A as of now, and she still scored 0.150 less than Locklear, and that's even with Ashton missing a connection. I'm hoping for one that Ashton upgrades her routine for P&G's to make it more exciting, and to also have a more competitive international routine. She's easily one of the best in the world with execution, just needs to add a little more "wow-factor" and make it more difficult.

Has she retired from gymnastics? I haven’t seen her at a competition in quite while, I think since her 2018 injury.
