This flight was from Amsterdam towards Fuerteventura.
We arrived close to sunset at destination. Funny to see is that because we are descending the sunset is faster than usual.
If we would have had this during the departure from Fuerteventura (or any other airport) you might enjoy a second sunset at one day.
Just think about that... ;-)

Wow that was just amazing, I didn’t even realise you’d landed as it was so smooth, we love fuerteventura and where we stay we sit and watch all the aircraft coming in to land it’s brilliant, by the time you had got to the gate it was dark lol, thanks again for the video.👍👍

Steeds opnieuw kijk ik met heel veel voldoening en blijdschap naar je video's.
Wanneer ik je zo altijd professioneel en rustig bezig zie, denk ik aan mezelf toen ik als treinbestuurder voor de NMBS, op eenzelfde manier als jij met je vliegtuig, met de trein reed, .
Ik weet niet hoe het komt, maar als je in het transport werkzaam bent, voel ik een onzichtbare band van een soort collegagevoel. Dat mocht ik ontdekken bij een cockpitbezoek vele jaren geleden tijdens een vlucht naar Lourdes (Pyrenees). Of de mensen nu zitten in een trein of vliegtuig, steeds opnieuw proberen wij onze reizigers van dienst te zijn.
Spijtig genoeg bestonden in mijn actieve tijd nog geen RUclips of zelfs internet, zoals wij het nu kennen...
Als enthousiast flightsimmer, spotter, trainsimmer, hoop ik voor jou dat je werk, je gezin, steeds veel plezier en voldoening mag verschaffen... en ook bedankt voor je technische uitleg, en antwoorden aan al je volgers...
Met dank, om ons te laten genieten van je mooie job, je rustig en gemoedelijk contact met je co-piloten. Godzijdank mogen jij en ik genieten van zoveel moois! Good luck!

voor mij leuk om te zien ben daar ook eens geweest als ik me niet vergis had ik daar toen een tussenlanding en zijn we verder gevlogen. weet nog wel dat het weer toen erg tegen viel was koud en bewolkt en onze bestemming hebben we toen ook aanhoudend slecht weer gehad..maar ja dat heb je niet in de hand. gr.jolanda

Very nice Video - thanks for that! I love Fuerteventura so much, for example because of this very narrow approach to the instrument landing system - that is, this very tight curve at the end. You probably no longer know which waypoints those were, or what you normally get told by the pilots when approaching in order to make this tight curve. Via headings or specific waypoints? I've been flying in the flight simulator on the PC for years and that would really interest me. I'm starting my pilot training next year. Thanks.
I believe your referring to the NDB 01 approach.

The wheels are part of our trim system. (The trim wheel).
Fuerteventura is great and the best 3 star hotel is Chatur Costa Caleta. My wife and lil kid were so happy there! It is cheap and alot of fun there :)

Superb video again , surfing over the clouds during the final turn. What did you mean by " we don't fly a high performance aircraft"?
We have 2 different types of NG within our fleet. It has to do with the flaps cycle. With the older the leading edge flaps go to full extend selecting Flaps 10. With the new one the go full extend selecting landing flaps. (30 or 40).
Drag wise that makes a huge difference.

Aan de kleur van je stropdas denk ik dat je bij Transavia in dienst bent, maar de video's die je plaatst moet dat in overeenstemming met Transavia of doe je dit uit eigen beweging?
En zijn er regels voor wat wel en niet gefilmd mag worden?

thank you for your videos, best so far. When may the pilot flying stop to watch the PFD when landing ? He added more thrust at 50feet just before your call, was he watching the PFD or it is just "feelings" and experience ?
Wel... it is a combination of looking at the PFD and outside when you are pilot flying (PF) The Pilot Monitoring (PM) checks instruments more than the outside scan. So when de PM sees the speed going down... we say speed low.
In this case the PF did well... by adding extra thrust just before the landing.
It has also to do with Feeling and Experience. Thanks for asking Hank.

La Palma ja.. (is ook een film van).
Madeira niet, omdat ik daar een speciale rating van de maatschappij voor moet hebben.
(Er is wel een filmpje waar ik als Co er op vloog).
Wederom een mooie opname. Was inderdaad een snelle "sunset".
Mocht je een keer op GCRR vliegen, runway 3, zou je die eens willen opnemen? Echt gave locatie.
Afgelopen jaar op m'n luchtbed tussen de ALS liggen dobberen. Die lampen staan gewoon in zee, voor je gevoel landen de vliegtuigen op je luchtbed HAHA....
Binnenkort weer eens GCRR... runway 03.
Lijkt me ook wel eens gaaf daar te dobberen!

mooie video weer. had ook niet anders verwacht ;-). toch klein vraagje. gedurende de vlucht hebben jullie die cabin cam bij staan op de centre pedestal. tijdens landing is hij uit. is dat procedure of is er een andere reden voor?
Het moet uit...
