Dude, I hate that you’ve done this. Deleting your videos and locking them behind a paywall is scummy. You already put the info out there, leave it for the record. I seriously would have considered becoming a Patreon supporter if you had just announced exclusive content without removing the content you had already produced. I value your opinion and recognize you as a subject matter expert relative to me, but this is not the way.
I agree also man. It’s his right to do what he wants with his knowledge but I think it’s a poor decision. I like the stuff TRex is doing where they’re making everything open source. They pretty much put everything out there for free and look at how well they’re doing. Lucas literally talked about this exact thing in one of his last livestreams. Sam is trying to capitalize on his expertise and I don’t say I blame him. There will be people who pay for it but, I think it’s a poor long term decision. It’s gonna make expansion hard. If his goal is to make money he may do so but by putting free content he could inspire more noobs to get into NV and hopefully use his influence to further the 2A. By locking his expertise and influence behind a pay wall I think he’s limited himself and the NV content exposure. Especially when Sam is probably the most knowledge guy on NV that I’ve come across. Good thing I watched all his videos before hand. Best of luck to you Sam, genuinely mean that.
@@Anon62796 trust me, this wasn't what I originally wanted to do, but my hand was forced by multiple sources. I understand if people are upset, When something is free for so long and suddenly gets pulled and a fee attached to access info it tends to upset folks, but it hand to be done, or remove these videos completely, then you'd need to attend a Greenline Tactical Class to receive this info from me. So the only guy posting knowledge about NVG specs has it behind a pay wall. So an allready obscure subject matter that’s expensive to get into is now not available to some one who was curious to buy there first set at 3-4K. By all means if this is what you want to do go ahead but at least think of leaving some of the really basic basic videos about what SNR, EBI, halo is for the average person to look at to educate themselves about a first time purchase. Leave the few basic videos open source for ppl looking to get into NVGs and then keep your new stuff pay walled
Knowledge has value. The military will spend tens of thousands of dollars and risk hundreds of millions of dollars in assets just to find out movement patterns of a principle. Similarly corporations will spend tons of money on securing their IP, and corporate espionage to steal the IP of other companies. It is not unreasonable for him to charge for his opinion, ESPECIALLY if people want it.

@@atacorion Not saying you are a bad shooter, but to be honest you don't even really need to be that great of a shooter in most real world situations. If one has intel derived from accurate information, sufficient assets committed, no one should ever have to panic to the point that superior gunhandling skills becomes the deciding factor on success. I think people have a misconception that military and LE guys have to work at the level of a competition shooter when in truth there are a ton of other relevant skills to invest time in before you need to worry about being Jerry Miculek or Todd Jarret. Heck I would estimate 95% of people with access to guns don't even train regularly (including/especially fitness) so anyone with any capacity for consistent on demand performance is miles ahead of most potential opponents.
