    I've owned these Martin Logan speakers for about 5 years now. Bought them new for $400.00 online. My only suggestion is two things - set your receiver or amp to 6ohms and placement. These speakers will drop into the 4ohm range but average out to be 6ohm speakers. These speakers really sing further off the back wall and side walls. Also I set them on small pieces of carpet and it takes the little bit of boom out of the downward firing port cleaning up the bass nicely. I set the crossover at 90hz and let my SVS SB1000 do the heavy bass work. These smaller towers can fill a medium size room with amazing sound stage and transparency when matched with a good receiver/amp and position correctly in a room. They are amazing for the price I got them for and I will never sell them even though I own several other speakers I use such as Paradigm, Axiom, and my favorite PSB towers than are my pride and joy of the bunch. Great review!!!

    The amt tweeters in those are nice. Loads of detail without being shrill. 👍🔊

      That’s well put, my friend! The details these folded motion tweeters expose can really open your eyes to details you might miss with “lesser” speakers.
      Thanks again for helping support my efforts, my man!

    These are good, they can be amplifier/receiver sensitive, I discovered that with some amps they sound alright and with others they sound great!

      Martin Logan is definitely one of those brands that is more sensitive to equipment and power than others.
      Give these speakers good clean power, proper placement and a clean signal and ML can definitely reward your efforts.
      Thanks again for you efforts, you are really helping this hobby!

    Good review on great speakers, and I agree with what you had to say. I have these speakers paired with a Rel t7i and an Audiolab 6000a. I've been very happy with them but after 10 yrs. I'm looking for something else. What that would be, I'm not sure. That being said I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a used pair of great speakers.

    I bought some Klipsch Mirage OM-9s for $150 on Craigslist and I love them. The crossover on my 1971 Sansui SP-2000s finally disintegrated so I was happy to find them. My vintage Fischer receiver is starting to go senile so a new amp will be next.

    Where did you get the mask? Have always wanted a good quality spartan mask! Can you put it on to see how it fits? Also, would you mind giving us a tour of the street fighters action figures? They look great. Enjoy the channel content, keep up the good work.

    Hey Dustin, how did they compare to the RP 600M in your opinion?

    • @blazermdx
      @blazermdx  3 года назад +2

      They are both great speakers, if you give them good clean power. The Motion 10 definitely have better mid-bass and imaging but the Klipsch have just a great “lively” sound, which I seem to prefer.
      The tweeters are different but they are both awesome. Probably not as big of a difference in sound, than most people would actually think. Both are very good but I give the slight edge to the Klipsch.very slight..
      It would obviously be ideal if you could listen to both but most won’t have the opportunity, which is why I try to put together these videos.
      Thank you very much for the question, my friend!

      I totally blew that:/ To be honest, I noticed I messed that up when I was editing the video but it was just too late at that point.
      I did go in and mention I messed this up in the description but most likely won’t read that. Good catch!
      These are most definitely down firing ports, not rear firing, like I said. Dang it!

    The only place I've ever heard ML is at Bestbuy, and they just never sound that good in their demos. Like they have a hole in the mids and lack deep bass. But, I also remember hearing the small A Jones Pioneers at BB and thinking, my they sound so dull? Then I bought a pair and brought them home and WOW, a completely different speakers experience, balanced, very nice mids, smooth highs, surprising bass performance for a 4" woofer? Still need a sub but, 4"? Really!
    So yeah, BB, demo. Leaves much to be desired, most of the time.

    • @blazermdx

      Testing speakers at home is definitely the only real way to make the right decision, and really know you made the right decision. Rooms have more impact on sound than most people would like to acknowledge.
      You are ahead of the curve, my friend!

    From 65 Hz... I think 🤔 it's too thin, I wonder if it could go well with my Cambridge amplifier and rel t7 subwoofer (which is great for 30-50 Hz, but even if it reaches 130 Hz, starts to lose clarity much before). Greetings

    • @blazermdx
      @blazermdx  Год назад +1

      Martin Logan speakers like high-current and clean power, which most Cambridge amps provide.
      But you’re right, a subwoofer is a must have for these speakers IMO, especially if you’re in a larger room.
      Oh, I’m definitely a big REL fan so I think the T7 would be a good match:)

    I have these. Thinking about upgrading to motion 20. What is your take on those? Are the 20s just a little more bass or are they a fuller sounding speaker I already have a sub. With my motion 10. I also use bang and olufsen and bowers and wilkins. For 7 speaker surround. 5 Martin logans and 2 bang and olefson for my rear channel. I listen all types of music. Metal rock country and classical. Would motion 20 be better than the electo static speakers for music and home theater Thanks !
