Question for ya. I have a 2021 crew cab 1500 2wd. I want to put a Whipple on it and make a nice street truck out of it. Truck is completely stock and I bought it new. Non Etorque. What else should I do besides a Whipple? What do I do with the cylinder deactivation stuff? Should I just delete all that and put in a cam and lifters when we install the Whipple? At what point do I need to consider a higher stall converter? Last question, obviously long tubes are the answer (I don’t have emissions or vehicle inspections to worry about) but what would you recommend for an exhaust? I know it’s quite a few questions but I’ve been watching your channel now for probably a couple years and I enjoy the content. I recently sold my LS swapped foxbody and my best time was a 10.91 @ 125.8….. I do not plan on building this truck for the track, but I’m sure I’d take it there a couple times here and there. I would like to lower my truck with a 2/4 set up also. The set up you have on yours is that more of a “track” set up? Or is it street friendly? Thanks again 🍻
Saving this video for when I actually decide to do stuff to my jeep. Low key would like to be 12s on the daily tune and high 10s on the kill tune which seems feasible after watching this video but also still far reached because the awd transfer case and the fact that my jeep is almost as heavy as an extend cab ram with the short bed
@@pablomorales9786 the e-torque system is a mild hybrid system that helps with lower speeds and has an auto turn off feature when you're stopped. It also adds 150 ft. Lbs of torque on bottom end. My dad's '21 Laramie will run a regular hemi like it's nothing
I got the deal of a lifetime. Yesterday I bought from a old family friend, a 2012 reg cab, black. It's the basic st model. No power windows, locks. But it has the 5.7. Truck only has 56k miles, only paid 10k. The bank appraisal was at over 15k. I stole it basically.

At one point I learned that when is it time to just upgrade to a 390 to putting too much money in the 57 could be costly but I just love my car I couldn’t get rid of it watching his videos it kind of makes me want to get a RT truck so I could have both 57 I really love the way the 57 RT truck looks single cab maybe I’ll go that route instead of buying the 392 jeep

Chuck C cam. Bore it 20 over then stroke it , headers ,valve spring! Made 424 to wheele on the dyno ! Have it tuned ! About 5 grand for the motor. The cam is probably the best. That’s in a 4 wheele drive to so the motor make over 500 at the crank ! Spay is next
Justin Beaty super hard to make a lot of power out of those generation rams.. the engine is underpowered and the 5 speed transmission is ass.. even with a pro charger ppl only he making 400whp maybe a lil more depending on tuning and other factors but still for a heavy truck it’s not that much

@@hemilifeornolife567 Put a muffler back on it. Straight piping only works good if your engine is modified and you have other power adders. On a stock engine...cutting the muffler off and resonators off won't do anything but make the truck louder and yes...you'll lose some bottom end or mid range torque. Put a Flowmaster 10 series muffler on it. They are cheap and small so ur truck will still be loud as fuck but you'll get that bottom and mid range torque back. I did the same thing to my 2013 ram express. Had an exhaust shop chop the muffler off and throw a pipe in. It was loud as hell but felt like it lost power down low. 2 days later I put a Flowmaster 10 back on it and it felt more normal. I've learned since then on my other 2 rams...don't go straight pipe unless ur motor is fully built.

2003 Dodge Ram 4wd 4dr 1500 here, I just put a new 5.7 jasper in it last year, supposed to be ~345 hp stock. How much HP do you think I can get out of this with a cam and tune? I'm looking for more power towing and occasionally stomping on it. I already have a custom afe intake, ported throttle body, and 3.92 gears.
I just use my paddle shifter and put it in six on my 2013 and the MDS won't operate. I've heard all kinds of crap about reprogramming excetera but there are circumstances where I will use the MDS out on the open Highway when I am not taxing the engine very hard such as pulling or big Hills mountains Etc. If I'm just a little speed driving it like 50 and under I just put it in 6th Gear and drive it and the Eco does not come on

Jessy Adsms The key is to open up your intake too so it equals what your motor is trying to push out. Think of it as an air pump. It’s trying to push more air out than it’s taking in so a more open intake with a tune will help that offset.

I bought a 2018 quad cab sport with 13000 miles. I traded in a 2012 single cab express that had every bolt on I could get and was fast. For some reason my new one only came with after market exhaust but its fast. 5 second 0 to 60 is nothing to be ashamed of. I am wondering if it had someone tune it,shifts aggressive throttle response great and will smoke the back tires with out any help. What should I look for to figure out if it's been flashed?
Interesting the guy with the deepest pockets always has the fastest nicest car at the track. Parts are expensive. Custom tuning is expensive. Save your money kids. Every thing performance oriented I do these days involves a turbo and e85. Best hp for $ IMO. Right now it’s a k04 VW. Great power for a 2 liter motor. But I’m not loving the fwd life. This will be my last. Solid in the highway, Cannot put the power down from a dig if it’s life depended on it

I know Ric's 14RCLB Ram when he had the 428 in it the trans started to give up @ 485 RWHP, when they hit 510 it was toast...just like the 545 it's based on, over 500RWHP and it's on it's way out, that's why the 1st thing I did with my 09 is dump the box and went with a 518 non lock up.
Yes sir . I've raced my friends 8 speed and it's not a terrible difference. My main thing is just wanting to beat those 5.0 mustang lol . Hilarious when a full sized truck with just an air intake and a tune pulls past you without trying .

well first off if your racing it being a truck no real weight..beat rolling resistance dont spin the tires get up to speed then power up had a little 2.2 that did low 13s.. also a 3.9 same..and quarter mile

Anything can be fast but it would just take more for a 3rd gen, mostly applies to new 8 speeds as well

If I'm just a little speed driving it like 50 and under I just put it in 6th Gear and drive it and the Eco does not come on

Super charge 392 hope you don't run a stock trans as well.
392 hemis don’t handle boost well, most of them blow up because of the piston rings. 5.7 hemis could actually get away with some boost

I have a 2018 ram 1500 big four-door short box four-wheel-drive I thought if you take the converters off you lose back pressure right now I just have a straight pipe and I lost a lot of back pressure so what do you do to get your back pressure back?
Jessy Adsms The key is to open up your intake too so it equals what your motor is trying to push out. Think of it as an air pump. It’s trying to push more air out than it’s taking in so a more open intake with a tune will help that offset.

I bought a 2018 quad cab sport with 13000 miles.
I traded in a 2012 single cab express that had every bolt on I could get and was fast.
For some reason my new one only came with after market exhaust but its fast.
5 second 0 to 60 is nothing to be ashamed of.
I am wondering if it had someone tune it,shifts aggressive throttle response great and will smoke the back tires with out any help.
What should I look for to figure out if it's been flashed?

Interesting the guy with the deepest pockets always has the fastest nicest car at the track. Parts are expensive. Custom tuning is expensive. Save your money kids. Every thing performance oriented I do these days involves a turbo and e85. Best hp for $ IMO. Right now it’s a k04 VW. Great power for a 2 liter motor. But I’m not loving the fwd life. This will be my last. Solid in the highway, Cannot put the power down from a dig if it’s life depended on it

keith smith easy to do with a 392 stroker and upgraded heads intake manifold if you can get the trans to handle it
@@samsonreynolds3728 yeah the Trans is the weak link..seriously weak link. I know Ric's 14RCLB Ram when he had the 428 in it the trans started to give up @ 485 RWHP, when they hit 510 it was toast...just like the 545 it's based on, over 500RWHP and it's on it's way out, that's why the 1st thing I did with my 09 is dump the box and went with a 518 non lock up.

have a 2010 ram 1500 5.7 lowered on 22's does great against all the kids around town, also gives DPS a run for their money, but dps's new explorer twin turbo will run me down and leave me hanging. What do I need to do to pull and leave with tail lights?

well first off if your racing it being a truck no real weight..beat rolling resistance dont spin the tires get up to speed then power up had a little 2.2 that did low 13s.. also a 3.9 same..and quarter mile
