At my hospital we have a biomedical engineering team that in a nutshell services anything that touches a patient. All machines and many systems like telemetry and simple call bells. Now a lot of the very advanced things like mri machines will be serviced by their respective venders, biomed is still responsible for the use and many other things regarding medical devices.
That is very interesting! I really dont know any biomedical engineers myself that work in the hospital environment. All my past classmates and friends are in industry, so it is really cool to hear about this!
Can I enter medical engineering with a rate of 77%?
most biomedical engineers I know work as biomedical equipment technicians of some kind. Technically biomedical engineering degrees are not the same as biomedical equipment technician degrees but there are just not enough biomedical engineering jobs so you take what you can in this dogshit field
@@radnukespeoplesminds welp I definitely don’t remember making this comment but thanks for bringing me back to it, yeah a biomedical engineer is someone who can actually design new equipment. A technician repairs it.
@@allnew2223 not sure what you mean by rate but all it takes is determination and money.
See when you put it like that, you have me a lot more excited.
Glad to hear it!
Biomedical engineering is a subspecialty of bioengineering
I agree!
Hey, where I live, we can only learn BME as a masters degree. I’m currently taking an advanced chemistry and biology class in High School. Do you think I should rather study applied chemistry or Chemical/Process engineering for my Bachelors Degree? I’d like to do tissue or genetic engineering later. Thanks in Advance :)
We actually have a podcast tomorrow with someone who got their bachelors in mechanical engineering and PhD in BME. I recommend you watch this video: ruclips.net/video/vQVd51A59jg/видео.html
to see how you can have a successful college career, and maybe graduate with a job offer already! Also, I'm sure there might be a tissue/genetic engineering lab in your university where you can volunteer.
Hello, can you talk a little more about the space industrie for bme engineers? I’m interested :00
Example: www.nasa.gov/ames/research/space-biosciences/bioengineering-branch
I have metel brackets with microw screws around my right eye.
So yes I'm very interested
I see you from Cuba. I am Bachelor Degree in Biomedical Engineering, and I think you are very nice.
Gracias Javier!! Saludos a Cuba 😁
Which is the best country for a biomedical engineer to work in designing feild?
Hey! Huge fan😍 I just binge watched all your videos! Random question- Which sub-discipline requires the least programming? 🙈 not a coding fan
Hi! Thank you for the support 😊 I think most fields of BME dont necessarily have to use programming. A good example would be cell & tissue engineering!
Hey I'm your big fan u are doing such a great work for biomedical. Engineering plz find some job for me really appreciatable Thanks
A lot of love from Pakistan
Hi Zain! Thank you so much, that means a lot! Best of luck with your future endeavors 😊
I have a question please. I am a senior this year and I did calculus and vectors, grade 12 physics, and AP level chemistry, and advanced functions. However, I didn't do biochemistry and I only did grade 11 biology. Can I still join biomedical engineering without doing biochemistry in highschool? Also can I have a bachelor degree in computer engineering and PhD in biomedical engineering? Your answer would be highly appreciated. Lots of love❤
Biomedical engg is atleast 4 decades old
Biomedical or biotechnology which is better
Biotech is more general(Agriculture, health, chemicals(EX:biofuels) etc.)due to BME being more related to healthcare .But they learn very similar things, so jobs are pretty interrelated.
Can I succeed in bio medical engineering in the Osmania University can I get good placements over there please give me an answer
Of course you can, Krishna! Anything is possible and I believe in you! We have many friends in our BMELife network from all over the world, Asia, South America, Europe you name it!
@@TheBMELife Iam from India
Thank you for your response to my question hope you can encourage many of the people who wants to study BME 😍😍😍😍😘😘😘
@@krishnagandham5467 thank You! That is our number one goal 😊
How can I become millionair with this. Thank! From Russia, with Love.
With lots of hard work and dedication 😅 much love to Russia! 😎
You prolly have to invent something to become a milliner, biomedical eng average salary is 60-80k depending where you find your job. All the best to you!!
Bme Or biochemical the best?
We might be biased, but BME rocks!
Am working medical device packaging COE, where I do gap assessment as per medical regulation, I wanna do course specific to Medical device regulatory, can you suggest
If my school doesn't offer biomedical engineering, is molecular biology or biomedical science closer?
I believe biomedical science would be closer. But choose the degree according to what you think you'd like to do once you graduate :)
It's just medicine+enginnering+programming+designing but chadder, also biotechnology is really chad field
Thinking of biotech major next year in college(1st year), lezz go, chad major
Its terrible getting a job is hell
Hi.my name is oussama and I'm a student at the University. I want to ask you about how can I study this career abroad?
im doing undergraduate in biochemistry, can i do biomedical engineering in masters??
In the US, you typically need a bachelors degree in any related science or engineering field. So you should be able to. Maybe would just need to take some extra courses in engineering
im talking about canada
@@muhammadzainmumtaz6036 unfortunately, I am not familiar with Canada since I studied in the US. But I would simply check with the university that you are interested in attending!
@@muhammadzainmumtaz6036 can you tell in which uni you are studying at cz i am interested in getting into undergrad program of bme in Canada
@@muhammadzainmumtaz6036I know that you can do it in Ontario Canada as long as you did grade 12 physics, chemistry, calculus, vectors, and advanced functions. Hope that helps :)
If you see searching bme I'm only searching for you.
Shes fine.
Yoo are all biomedical engineers as pretty as you damn
😁😆
I’m a first year BME student, can someone let me know when all this pain is going to end🥲🥲🥲🥲
Pain never ends.. you just learn to manage it 😂
Best of luck. Stay strong. You can do it 💪
@@nikkifranklin6440 its all good now, i am numb to the pain. actually i think i thrive off it at this point, not sure. but i made it to my 4th year and i have decided to pursue a masters in this field. isnt life strange?
Hey,Can you suggest me any university in russia to do biomedical engineering
Im waiting for your reply……please
I'm sorry, I'm afraid I don't know much about Russia but here is a list I found on the best universities for BME in Russia: edurank.org/engineering/bioengineering/ru/
Can i do biomedical engineering with pcb
yes
Money
You got it!
Hey I'm currently in last year of high school and I need to major in a subject next year for the uni .. I live in india ...so I don't enjoy doing math that's one the big reason I'm thinking twice before joining engineering.
I do like biology and kinda struggle with organic chemistry ..I'm really struggling to choose a major.. if u would suggest me some it would be of great help and what about paramedical courses and which is better biotechnology engineering or biomedical engineering . Thank you:)
Hey! Thanks for reaching out 😊 I would encourage you to watch our latest video: ruclips.net/video/kPfiZ86WwWw/видео.html we cover the exact questions you’re asking so I think it would be helpful! Just look at the time stamps in the description to find answers to your questions :)
It’s kind of a waste of time, I’ll be honest, just get a mechanical engineering degree and work for a company that builds prosthetics or implants. In all seriousness you’re more likely to get hired. The discipline is just not respected in the engineering realm & no one will hire you.
I agree there are more opportunities for mechanical engineers (as it is a broader career) and they do have more "real estate" in people's minds. However, I do not agree with saying "no one will hire you". I've been very blessed with a successful career as a BME. Ever since I landed my first job (which was an internship, as a student), I've literally never had to apply for jobs. New opportunities come up, and it's honestly been awesome.
To be fair, I do think it depends on the type of job you want to get after college. And some jobs might be more competitive against MEs. But others are great for BMEs!
