My dad showed me a wild tool he got from his snap-on dealer days for sheetmetal screws instead of self tappers. Its a sharp point that goes in an air hammer. It pokes a hole that way when you sceew the metal screw in its almost in a threaded boss instead of just a flat hole. Thought it was pretty neat and has to hole pretty solid

I know the struggles. After trying to use a column shifter that was originally a 3 speed on an ls swapped elco with a 4l80 I bought a nice shifter and had no room to get the bolts and nuts through the floor since the trans was so large and in the way of everything. Anyway. I got it to work but took forever. Should of self tapped it in.

I just put a precision in Goldie hawn, it’s driving good with the new trans but I’m having issues with it braking up bad in lower rpm

Just became non compliant in every sanctioned race. For 2 hours worth of work and a difference of about 2 dollars. And that neutral safety not hooked up is a no no too. They won’t check your shifter, you’ll figure that one out on your own… but they will check the neutral safety.
