@@Lep161 She's a bit more guarded these days, true. I think for many reasons. But I think she would and does still act like this if she has the right person interviewing her. After such a long career anyone would be fed up with the same questions presented to them all over again every single time she sits down for an interview. Back in these times there were people that she had very long relationships with, she had more trust when they were concerned. She had a really good chemistry with Kurt Loder of MTV, they always started to banter a bit. so hilarious amusing moments would always ensue. You can always pick it up if it's someone she's been interviewed by several times compared to having to sit down with entirely new people. She can be more relaxed with the people she knows better, which is understandable.
It's shocking just how different the music business is today. There is no room for alternative points of view these days. Everybody sings from the same hymn sheet and it's more controlled than it's ever been. It is now harder to spot a female artist who hasn't exposed her flesh or courted a gay audience. It's almost as if the things Madonna did and said haven't been impactful but the fact she made money doing this is all that matters in the end. Madonna's message was be yourself, be different if you are different. Today's view is everybody be the same kind of protest singer, support the same things, support the same politics, use gays for popularity, don't even worry about artistic integrity or musicality, homogeny rules today. 1990-1992 must have been the absolute zenith of her career, Dick Tracy, Vogue, Blonde Ambition Tour, Truth or Dare movie, Justify My Love, The Immaculate Collection, the Sex book, all in the space of 2 years. The mid 90s were relatively quieter, she remained as famous as ever but there wasn't anything else left to discover about her by that point. Then she returned slowly with Evita and then went straight back to the top of the A list with the Ray of Light era, where she was in a whole new place spiritually, she was now a mother, more reflective as was the world about her career and how far she had truly come as the most famous woman of her time.

I was so happy when TVAM had this interview. We didn't have a video recorder at the time, so I tape recorded the sound with my little cassette right next to the telly's speaker hehehehe Every interviewer absolutely fell for her during these early years and she just exudes flirtatious energy. I remember when they cut back to the studio after the interview, the presenter said "what a remarkable looking woman." And he was right. Nobody has come across so naturally sensual with her sense of humour and her intelligence since.

Just got done watching Madonna handle in disgust - Courtney Love humiliate herself in the midst of crashing an exclusive Madonna interview with Kurt Loder on MTV. That interview has always remained in the back of my mind but until just now I didn’t realize how poorly I stored the memory. I processed it completely wrong when I saw it originally. All this time I was under the assumption that Madonna &Courtney Love were FRIENDS. I think I was very young when I saw the interview (Maybe 12-15 years old). But they were not in fact friends - at all. Madonna was actually … disgusted by Courtney Love. She wanted nothing to do With her. Courtney Love was very very GROSS & obnoxious & aggressive - & Madonna was classy & ladylike & contained. Im glad I just rewatched that. Because of it I like Madonna for probably the 1st time inn my life. And this video here - is the 1st time I’ve ever really thought she was beautiful. She is. I always thought she was… ugly. But she’s not. And she’s a lot classier than I thought. I like her now.

IM SURE IT WAS HIS IDEA FOR MADONNA TO TRY TO USE HER LOOK AND HE PERSONALITY TO CHANGE TO DANCE MUSIC! BY THIS TIME SHE HAD CULTIVATED HER "MADONNA LOOK" AND WITH THE NEW IMAGE, BLOND HAIR AND STYLE, AND A FOLLOWING IN THE CLUB SCENE IN NYC.. THEN SHE MET SOMEONE WHO GOT HER TO AUDITION FOR THE MOVIE "VISION QUEST" WHERE SHE HAD A SMALL PART IN THE BAR SCENE SINGING " CRAZY FOR YOU" AND SHE DID ANOTHER SONG FOR THAT MOVIE TOO. "GAMBLER".. THEN SOMEONE CAME UP WITH THE SONG " HOLIDAY".... THEN... SOMEONE INTRODUCED HER TO A FAMOUS PRODUCER NILE ROGERS!!!! HE HELPED HER MAKE HER FIRST FULL ALBUM " LIKE A VIRGIN"... AND A STAR WAS BORN!!!!! THAT WERE THE STEPS THAT GOT HER TO HERE! SHE DIDNT DO IT ALONE.. SHE TRIED TO MAKE IT HAPPEN ALONE, AND SHE WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HAPPEN THROUGH OTHER PEOPLE! SHE IS VERY MANIPULATIVE, SAVY, SHREWED, FOCUSED AND DISCIPLINED! SHE LOST HER INNOCENCE AND SHE COMPROMISED HERSELF TO GET WHAT SHE WANTED. AND I DONT RESPECT THAT. I WISH SHE REMAINED HER TRUE SELF, BECAUSE THAT IS WHO I BELIEVE MADONNA REALLY WAS. THAT INNOCENT SWEET, FIREY GIRL WHO WANTED THE WORLD TO SEE HER.

Just got done watching Madonna handle in disgust - Courtney Love humiliate herself in the midst of crashing an exclusive Madonna interview with Kurt Loder on MTV.
That interview has always remained in the back of my mind but until just now I didn’t realize how poorly I stored the memory.
I processed it completely wrong when I saw it originally. All this time I was under the assumption that Madonna &Courtney Love were FRIENDS. I think I was very young when I saw the interview (Maybe 12-15 years old).
But they were not in fact friends - at all. Madonna was actually … disgusted by Courtney Love. She wanted nothing to do With her. Courtney Love was very very GROSS & obnoxious & aggressive - & Madonna was classy & ladylike & contained.
Im glad I just rewatched that. Because of it I like Madonna for probably the 1st time inn my life. And this video here - is the 1st time I’ve ever really thought she was beautiful.
