Fat Burning Strawberry Salad
⅓ cup Greek yogurt
1 tbps Swerve
1 tbsp lemon juice
½ cup sugar snapped peas, chopped
5 strawberries, chopped
1 pkg coleslaw mix
Fat Burning Apple Coleslaw
1/2 cup greek yogurt
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp swerve
1 apple, chopped
Sugar snap peas
Shredded cabbage OR 1 pkg coleslaw mix
Cabbage Slaw
1 pkg shredded cabbage
1/4 cup extra light olive oil
4 oz goat cheese
1/4-1 tsp Redmond Real Salt
Combine all ingredients. Serve!

Yah yah yah!!
Good for those of us WITH type 2....trying to reverse the symptoms. People say you can't get rid of diabetes. From research you can, but you can never go back to the diet that got you into it. I mean for most of us that diet was heavy carb breakfast with mid-morning snacks with sandwich/wrap and fries/chips at lunch, followed by more snacking, and then a dinner with pasta, rice, potatoes, or some similar combination I learned one thing looking back on my eating habits from my teens until my 30s. It wasn't that everything I ate was bad. So much is good and fine in moderation and small amounts. It's the over consuming and carbs on top of carbs. Our ancestors worked more so they could burn the amount of carbs they ate with the breads they lived off. We don't have to have that same level of physicality with many of our jobs so we have little opportunity to put in the fat burning effort that we would need. Also, we're given sweet/salty carb heavy foods from childhood onward. Wish the West would follow Japanese with their teaching children to love fish, vegetables, etc early. Sure, I eat my red meat and think the paranoia over it is silly, but my favorite foods ended up being a burger and fries or chips. I am always looking for ways to recreate them healthier, but have noticed in my early 40s that I can't just keep doing that. Yo-yo dieted enough in my 30s. Therefore, I'm trying to find salads I enjoy to put into my lunch meal prep rotation. Simply putting leafy greens, some salad dressing, and meat isn't enough to keep me satisfied. And it doesn't get me wanting my lunch while on the job. So this video is GREATLY appreciated as a diabetic!
Do agree with the making your own dressings. Had a great low carb/keto raspberry dressing I found a couple of years back. Overused it, but it was delicious! And yes, if you're meal prepping you don't care about sexy food. I want my food to be one I look forward to eating, but isn't overly complicated. I leave my complicated recipes for dinner.
Most of the sugar substitutes still have grams of carbs so have to use in moderation. And it's protein AND fat that keeps us full. It's why keto is so fat focused to most people, bu the goal of keto isn't to gorge yourself on fat. The goal is to eat enough proteins with their natural fat and low starch vegetables that you fill up easier and aren't always reaching for the snacks or ordering extra sides.

True! I never implied for folks to go crazy on sugar substitutes - yes - fat does promote satiety - but it is so easy to overconsume!
