Anywhoo, love the recipes especially the first two! I love chkin thighs! Lately I've been making a lot of egg loafs or muffins with eggs and cream cheese(base ingredients) and flavoring, blend and bake. Gives me French toast without the bread LOL. These look great! I love my slow cooker. Don’t know if I shared it before, but wet a paper towel and spread it out on the counter next to your cutting board. The onion fumes gravitate toward moisture. Having the wet towel there will keep it from getting to your eyes. I have dry, sensitive eyes, and this almost always works for me! Unless it’s a super strong onion - sometimes it will still get me.

I was checking the comments to see if anyone else had already made this suggestion. All of my kids shared in the cooking as they grew up. My oldest son had a terrible time with onions. I walked in on him once while he was cutting onions and he had paper towels shoved up his nostrils 🤣. He and his wife share in the cooking and he still shoved paper towels up his nose until a couple of years ago. I told him what I’d learned about the paper towels and he tried it immediately. He was utterly amazed how well it works! It’s so nice to go visit and see the paper towels on the cutting board instead of up his nose 😉

My son used to stuff paper towels up his nose while cutting onions 😂. I taught him this simple trick and he uses it all the time now. The place for paper towels is NOT up your nose but dampened and sat on the edge of your cutting surface. Onion juice for some reason is drawn to moisture so put the moisture near the onion and tada no more runny eyes or sniffles.

Just found your channel. I’d love to see a video on DASH diet recipes also diabetic friendly. Many people suffer from both. However, diabetic recipes are usually high in sodium and vice versa.
Once diagnosed with diabetes 2 last year I refused meds in lieu of trying TLC therapeutic lifestyle change and lost 30 lbs. cooking from scratch. 2-3 hrs/meal
nurse said I’m now considered a diabetic in remission. I have 30 more lbs to lose. Hubby has hbp on Metformin and lost 20 lbs. Very hard to find recipes that target both issues. Open and dump recipes are fast, easy, cheap, but usually high in sodium. Many low carb videos out there don’t address the high sodium content.
