I stayed up late watching on MyFlightRadar the flight path of both MD-11s as they arrived in Schiphol. The era of commercial passenger service on tri-jets ended. They received a proper send off in this video. Such beautiful planes.

I had flown on the Dc-10 but not the MD 11 airplane I sure do miss the Dc-10 airplane between the Dc 10 and the MD 11 they are just a like the DC 10 does not have wing lets but the MD 11 does it also has 2 seats on each side and with 5 seats in the middle and on the DC 10 and it had 2 aisles and what I remember about the DC 10 when it landed I could not tell the landing was very smooth also and also very comfortable to fly on it is very sad that they got rid of those beautiful planes.
