Grabbed the 75" for $1000 back in early July. Still thinking it may end up being the best TV value of the year.
It's a better value at 650.
Be careful with the backlight going out. TCL has had that issue with previous models. My 75 TCL backlight died on me, no more than a years time! Can't explain to you how pissed I was 🤦😅

To be honest... I'm actually in the market to buy a new TV after the previous TCL disaster I already explained. I'm going Qled at minimum this time. OLED is just showing off 😅. Sure I can afford it, but why lol 🤷. No "TV" is worth that much, no matter how much money you make. Not better than your own eyes lol. You're paying for "limited resources", to make a product, not quality per say. I'm so use to TCL interface, that I now want nothing else. I'm going to try them again. But if they dare fail me "again", I will NEVER come back lol. Maybe a Hisense, still pondering 🤔

Been researching TVs for a couple weeks. RUclips pointed me to your video…. I’m sold. Always got to trust people with pugs!
The yellowing edge might be their version of the antiglare coating. My Z9K if you look at it in the right solid color grey you can see purple around the edges. I don't really notice it anymore especially now that I've decided I didn't see any defects worth sending it back for. On normal content you'd never notice it, and you'd only spot it if you're being hyper critical in the right conditions. Good review and definitely looks great for the money.

Best tv last year for me was the r4646. Still going strong. Bought two 65 screens during black friday & a 55. Need another 55 so i was looking at the r4646 again but this caught my attention. Is it better?

@@cappc12 great! I do sometimes notice the brightness not being as good as the qm8 I saw in store, but overall you can’t beat 1499$ price point for the q7
@@cappc12 I bought TCL 65" back in January 2020 for 600$, sold it last week for 400$. Almost the original value, it was still looking and working as new. Now I am waiting for this 85" to arrive

Great review. Very detailed. Planning to get one. Qq, what is the width of the bench? I need to put soundbar too so was wondering is the height of Stand good enough?
I enjoy vids where the significant other participate, adding some comedic bits. "looks at the brightness. It's got some nits in there" 😆. That was awesome. Good review. Would have like to see better analysis for Sports (e.g.: analyze the motion). Many lack that. Thanks for the tip on the "AI intelligence mode". I'll be sure to turn that off on my new Hisense U7K.

I am looking at this TCL 85" tv or a LG G2 77" for around similar price. My couch sits about 15 feet from where the tv will be mounted. I mostly stream movies and watch RUclips. Would it be worth it to go for the OLED even though it a smaller size?

Got my 85 q7 yesterday up and running 🙂 oddly can't control volume to tcl with the directv remote 🤨 I too see faint yellowing on mine like you can on yours

According to Rtings the Q7 & QM8 are a supposedly awful with RUclips TV and claims the image isn’t sharp at all due to poor processing. Interesting that you don’t seem to notice this when watching ESPN here. Looked good to me lol.

X95l is a significantly better TV than x90l
I'm shopping for a 85" 4K. I'm not a gamer at all. No kids at home. Watching TV, regular movies, TV shows & I love music concerts on DVD. I have a dvd player (blu-ray, 4K). I have a Klipsch sound system 5.1. I'm debating between 85" TCL Q6 ((85Q650G, 2023 Model) $ 1,199.00 or should I wait for the 85" Q7 $ 1,599 dropped price? or any other good suggestions in the same price range. Please advise! Thanks in advance!
Definitely wait for the q7 price drop. I own the q6 and q7. Both have great picture but the q7 is definitely the better one. More options to control and make your shows and movies better!

I just grabbed the 85' Q6. Couldnt wait to get it out the box , then.....the screen was cracked 🤬. Returning it for another that will be delivered in a few days. But im really considering just forking another 500 for the Q7. Decisions decisions 🤔
get the q7, if the price drop withen a month you can get the difference back..
Should of did god of war Ragnarok or ratchet& clank rift apart to test video game. Both games have OUTSTANDING AMAZING graphics. Fyi for future videos

I have watched a lot of videos and am growing confident in buying a TCL TV rather than a Sony or lg. Due to better specs for a lower price
TCL is great and has a great resell value. I bought my first TCL 65" back in 2020 for 600$, and sold it a few days back for 400$. Never had any problem with the TV. My dad has a LG, and the OS is garbage compared to Google TV / Android TV.

I have two TCL TVs. different models but on both the same error, background light. both broke after two years.
I gotta ask, did you get the extended warranty?
I'm wondering if this Q7 and the Sony X90L are almost proving that the average viewer doesn't need to care about or pay extra for "mini-LED." I really want a Sony mainly for their superior processing and I'm now seriously considering the X90L.
Can't go wrong with either honestly. The X90L has amazing picture quality and contrast. Q7 and Qm8 have better motion though.
Don't judge I know this is going to sound like a stupid question. First I have mounted plenty of TV's in the past always to studs though. But with a 77" LG G3 I would like to use the no gap mount. My wall though has one stud direct middle where I want. They supply anchors with the no gap is it made also to not need studs. Watching LG mount video they don't mention studs but seems fishy please anyone HELP!?
Those anchors are for inserting into concrete. Personally, I would be just fine mounting my 77" G3 on one stud in middle of their no gap mount, with 4 toggle bolts on the perimeter of the mount as added support. The stud in middle would be holding nearly all the weight and is fine. However, you need to make sure you do it correctly and the wall is supportive. Hilti or like 3/16 snap toggles at home depot, before you ask.

Thas anyone knows and has the same TV model as me TCL QLED C805, can you connect a Blu-Ray reader and can you connect another brand of camera with HD resolution let's say these for PC cameras, because I can't find exactly that TV camera for my TV model anywhere if you can connect a Blu-Ray reader to USB, I'm also interested in whether there is a USB C with input and output like on mobile phones and PS5, and if you can connect a Blu-Ray reader, does it also go through a USB splitter, because that TV model has only one USB 3.0 port, if I'm not mistaken, and I have a splitter with 3.0 four inputs and one USB I would really like to put a reader and a camera, but as I said, I can't find a camera for that TV model anywhere.
I am from Croatia and I would be very grateful if anyone could help me with these two things.

I've always wondered if peeling the plastic off TVs ever caused slight damage like dirty screen effect?
Or mounting the legs with screen face down on the foam panels , putting the weight unevenly on the screen . Great review nevertheless , I'll be putting up my 75" Q7 this weekend .

Its a decent tv, not as great as people on youtube would claim. Immediately the UI Menu is blurry. has a decent speed for gaming but the image is not smooth at all. Does slow movie scenes really well but action scenes are garbage.

How does this compare to the QM8?
The Q7 is a step down. The QM8 is mini-led and brighter. Most people would love the Q7 for their tv.

The problem with this tv is anything upscaled looks like garbage. Anything from cable television, dvd, blu-ray, just won’t cut it. If you’ll only use this for UHD content or advanced gaming, you’ll be happy. I much prefer Hisense U7/U8 for the reasons listed above.

tcl q7 is a step down from U7k, in europe we have TCL c845( something between q7 and q8) which has almost exactly same price as hisense but better specs
