234. കായംകുളം താപവൈദ്യുതിനിലയം ബാധ്യത. 100 കോടി രൂപ ഫിക്സഡ് കോസ്റ്റ്, വൈദ്യുതി ഉത്പാദിപ്പിക്കാതെ.

വൈദ്യുതി ഉൽപാദിപ്പിക്കുന്നില്ല എങ്കിലും ഇപ്പോൾ വർഷം തോറും 100 കോടി രൂപയാണ് KSEB fixed cost ഇനത്തിൽ കായംകുളം താപവൈദ്യുതി നിലയത്തിന് നൽകി കൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ കരാർ 2025 ഫെബ്രുവരി 28 ന് അവസാനിക്കും. അവിടെ ഉത്പാദിപ്പിക്കുന്ന വൈദ്യുതി യൂണിറ്റിന് 15 രൂപയിൽ കൂടുതൽ ആയിരുന്നു വില. ഈ കാരണം കൊണ്ട് KSEB ഇപ്പോൾ വൈദ്യുതി ഇവിടെ നിന്നും ആവശ്യപ്പെടാറില്ല.
എങ്കിലും ഈ കരാർ പുതുക്കുവാൻ KSEB യിലെ ചില തല്പര കക്ഷികൾ ശ്രമം നടത്തുന്നു. ഇത് കേരളത്തിലെ വൈദ്യുതി ഉത്പാദകർക്ക് വലിയ ബാധ്യത ആയി മാറും. നാം ഒന്നായി പ്രതികരിക്കണം.
