It really is heartbreaking, I love Steve Lawson. It's a reminder to keep our eyes on Christ, the author and perfecter of our faith. We long for that day when we are totally free from the presence of sin, until then we are all capable of grievous sin and must guard our hearts and minds.
you are wrong on 2 huge assumptions. first is his church said they were praying for his repentance which says he still has not repented. your second misconception is that as long as you are theologically correct how you live doesnt matter much hence becouse you believe steve was theologically biblical ( I dont think he is) then we should show him grace when he committs adulatry. WRONG!, being a incredible theologin/pastor has NOTHING to do with morality, integrity, or holiness. Jesus said that MANY would come to him saying LORD LORD and bragging about all the incredible sermons they preached and mighty things they did for God yet he would tell them " depart from me you EVIL DOERS", jesus did not say "depart from me becouse you got several theological truths wrong". according to reformed theology and steves own teachings his adulatry proves he is NOT regenerated and NOT elect becouse he did not persevere in the faith.
I agree with you, Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy… "You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven
It's really sad but unfortunately there are a lot of Christians that don't finish strong as we all still sin. I'm not huge on perseverance of the saint. I believe he is saved. But unfortunately just can't be in ministry. Praying for him and his family. Also the church he pastored.
None are immune to the enemy’s tactics. Praying. Thanks Pastor Jay
it is heartbreaking to hear that my father and mentor did this. Let us continue to pray for his restoration. I know he will bounce back.
Very pastoral counsel. Thank you brother. Let us all keep watch.

Glad my sins will (hopefully) not be made public ever.
If you did not want to make this video, then don't make it.
