All these stadiums in Europe have closed tops. NBA stadiums are larger in terms of capacity. The problem in Europe is that the fans are not just going to watch a game; it is a war, not just entertainment. Ninety percent of the chants contain extremely offensive language about your mother, your family, and you personally, often with sexual innuendos and bad intentions. One of the most common chants is that "tonight, this stadium is going to be your grave." In all these clips from Europe, the chanting was extremely aggressive and offensive. You are lucky in the USA that you don't have the hooligan mentality so far. Keep it safe.
I don't know about those Greek chants but Serbian one was just chanting the club's name in the rhythm of famous opera Aida. And 90% of chanting isn't offensive at all, excluding rivalry games where you do have a lot more aggressive and offensive chants...
@@ZalgirinisVilniaus Yeah, the bigger the animosity insults are worse and more used. If you are watching Red Star basketball games you can hear insults chanted towards the referees on some games and if Red Star is playing Partizan, I don't think there where any violent or offensive chants against any other Euroleague team. Actually there were some in Greek against Panathanaikos because Red Star and Olympiacos are brother clubs.
Here in sweden we have crazy football fans and we dont care about the game its just passion even if the team gets relagated to the third devision we will still show up and its more rivalary our biggest is over 100 years old! react to AIK in football ultras
4:30 It was the biggest game of the season in Thessaloniki, Greece between Aris and their same city enemies PAOK. The lighting struck so the power short circuited. That chant is about a time when Aris had financial problems and many fans left for PAOK. If your search Oo poustarades English lyrics you will find it, but a fair warning. It's rude.
The NBA is just the biggest basketball league but the era of the 1992 USA Dream Team where America had full supremacy and was untouchable is long gone. Now the USA has serious difficulty beating countries like Spain, Argentina, Serbia, France, Lithuania, Germany, South Sudan, China, Greece etc.
6:30 Thtas Crvena Zvezda fans from Serbia, so for Jokic that was environment he played quite offten so NBA crowds cant ever mess him up, american fans are just too soft

Me as a Greek, will tell you something! In the Greek stadiums you showed and especially the Aris Paok and Olympiakos Greeks teams, the hooligans sing words of hatred and sexism for the mothers and families of their opponents! This is not healthy and you are lucky you don't have people like that
Thanks for this,my friend.
"World's Greatest Football Fans: Ultras/Europe" will REALLY show you European passion😀😀

Passion vs money?
There is a reason why so more and more European players are joining the NBA, the quality in Europe is much higher than you give it credit for.
Try to be a bit more open-minded about european players, that american elitism that there is no gameplay quality in Europe is wrong.

Also... let's not translate the Greek chants, shall we? :D
