Greece is on a difference level when it comes to Sports Fans. Many years ago I went to a game PAOK Saloniki against Panathinaikos it was insane. The game started like an hour later because there was too much smoke in the arena and it was loud like crazy throughout the game. And by the way no fans from Athens are allowed. The rivalry and hate in Europe is more passionate. One month later I was in an NBA game and it felt like I was in a church. But not every game is like that you have to pick the right game.
It's how you turn your home ground into a fortress where the opponent fears to play on by fans, it's just like an extra player on the field. In many places in Europe you work to be able to afford to go to the matches and many regular places are inherited, it is your identity, it cannot really be explained, it must be experienced.
That last 1 was funny. I´m pretty sure they all knew it was coming so lets just start the game so we can get it over with, clean the court, and then start the game over again.
these are the same people filling up the football/soccar stadiums across Europe. Over here, it is all about your favourite club, (almost) no matter what sports they do. I f.e. live about 300km away from my favourite team Schalke04, but I still proudly present our colours where I live and show our flag in front of the house
Slightly incorrect. It not about the team you choose. You don't choose your team, you support the team where you're from from, otherwise you're a traitor.
Depends to with country you go to. If you would like to see basketbal like this it is in south europe. Not in Netherlands. Foodbal we have like this. Ice (speet) scating we are verry passionate about. Every country has their own preference for sport that they like. We do not have mountains so we are not that good in skying and stuf like that. We have a lot of water so we are good in swimming and ice scating. Foodbal is like in most of europe.
Greeks always take out all their problems as fans on a game. It's the place where they protest for their economical, political and of course team problems.
Zalgiris Kaunas is a Lithuanian basketball team with a huge tradition in Basketball. Lithuanians are one of the high level basketball countries in Europe. For example: Arvydas Sambonis, Jonas Valanciunas, Sarunas Jasikevicius, Arvydas Machijauskas, Arvydas Marculionis and so on...!!!
stop the cap , rytas is shi* team they play in the champions league and they couldn't even make noise in asg arena while žalgiris makes such a good atmosphere in 16k arena
@@replaysflink9124 😂😂😂 Their fans is just glory hunters, we saw how many fans came when team was struggling, in the last captain's game came only 2k fans, so shut your mouth
@@kepalas3467 bro rytas fans just sucks, they couldn't even fit asg arena or make any noise in asg the only reason asg was getting people is because žalgiris fans came , btw žalgiris has 14 sold outs in a row in 16k arena while rytas can't even sold out 2k arena , btw žalgiris 25 trophies rytas only 6 , and also euroleague said partizan and žalgiris has best fans and they are keeping euroleague alive

Americans consume sports. Europeans support the team they were born into.
In Europe, the game starts on the way to the stadium 😁
About 2 days beforehand. We rock the city.
