My dad had a Motorola Razr back in 2004/05 and that had a camera also I remember someone in my family owning a camera phone before my dad did like in 2002 or 03 I think or something when I was 6-7 y/o

@@nandu7668 depends on how you're using your phone. Normal apps like fb YT will last 5-8 hours. Heavy game like PUBGM consume a bit more.

"Never settle" Yet they give us a stupid butt crack notch and hideous huge black circle camera at the back. Even the camera is no where near a Samsung or Google flagship. They should change their tag line to "Always settle" or "Almost a flagship"

@@DoodleDoo OnePlus has the best version of Android, hands down, and they tend to care a lot about what users think and want. Unfortunately, year after year they make some questionable hardware design decisions which make me think better of buying a oneplus phone, and that's the reason I haven't bought a new phone in years.

I've had my 5t for over 2 years and it still gets almost 2 days of battery life.
shame to hear about the 7t battery, but 90hz IS nice...
Trust me, I have the OnePlus 7 Pro and the Warp Charge more than makes up for it. I leave the house at 7:50AM with 100% battery and come back home at 4:00PM with about 68-64% battery left (from my use). I then use the phone until I go to sleep at around 10:00PM - 10:30PM and finish the day with about 45% battery. I then wake up in the morning at 6:30PM (I don't charge the phone overnight) and plug it into the warp charge after I wake up. The phone is at 100% by 7:30AM every time and I'm ready to leave the house
i just got a one plus 7 ( the not pro variant ) and mine lasted 3 days on my last test , with webrowsing , social media , blutooth music sometimes

I really like the camera design on the 7t. I mean, if everything else was the same, I would choose the 7t in a heartbeat. Really love that aesthetic.

I'm pretty sure there won't be a "no notch" non-pro model until they manage to put the camera, sensors and speakers under the display. The day OnePlus launches their X model with no notch and no pop out camera will be the day I upgrade from my OnePlus 7 Pro.

I'm not a friend of the pop out camera either. I ordered a 7T. Don't want to spent the extra money for the 7T Pro either.

The 7T would be a significant step up from my 6T. On the 6T, by the way, you can manually set focus to macro focal length in pro mode. I use it all the time, it's not terrible.
Some of my main priorities were a notchless and curved phone with a super big screen, so im happy i got the 7 pro
I will get the 7 Pro over the 7t for the following reasons:
1 - Curved Edges
Since the S8 I thought it was so nice and beautiful and always wanted Curved screen phone
2 - Notchless
I think notches are things from the past, really like the notchless display
3 - faster fingerprint scanner
Already talks by itself
4 - More good looking
The 7T it's horrible with it's giant rounded camera bump
@kenniikalonji probably in a year I will have these same thoughts, but I want to experience it, I think it's gorgeous, and it can be terrible, but I want to have it at least once

Waiting for the 7t pro myself. Oneplus phones are so near perfect right now, I just hope the cameras get an upgrade. Might be a bit better with the 7t pro, but I have high hopes for the 8. If they can get there cameras just a bit better, there will be no reason at all to spend hundreds more on a "better" phone.

No cheap amount and no low-profile camera hump would make me buy a curved edge phone. For that reason alone, 7T is the winner in my book.
As a 7 Pro user, i dont regret or get jealous. I love my current phone. I was a 6T user, im done with notches. I dont use front cam too much. Im ugly 🤣

I love my 7 Pro but I like some of those features the 7T has. Definitely not worth the switch but it does leave me scratching my head. But that camera bulge is a DEAL BREAKER! The real highlight of their reveal though was the OnePlus TV! Hoping to see it come to the US market too

Ended up getting the 7 pro because of the back camera on the 7t looking horrible, here in the states the 7t only came with 128 gb storage 7 pro came with 256 gb, I really like the pop-up selfie camera so there's no cut out in the screen when it gets pretty cool actually, I know many don't like the curved screen but I like it especially when using Google's gestures the curved screen works really nice and I always put a case on so I don't have any false hits because of my palm on the screen and the last reason which I haven't heard people talk about is the 7t uses 28 gb for system in storage and the 7 pro only uses 14gb for system in storage... it's really strange and I've checked it on multiple phones.

@@bhargavvarma955 Phone is worth it man, trust me. Best camera in oneplus till date. Also 90 Hz is super smooth, rear camera is too good, selfie could have been better! If ur a heavy user still ur battery would last a day easily.

I get a screen on time of nearly 7 hours with OP 7T and battery lasts a whole 24 hours. I am very satisfied with this phone.

Even after watching your comparison I still went with the 7 Pro, the slightly bigger screen and flush camera were selling points. Also with the Black Friday sale it made the 7 Pro $100 cheaper than the 7t
The pop up camera long term may have some people not want it long term due to wear and tear.
Once you've had a 7Pro with full screen,
You'll never go back to a silly notch.

@@Kratos30000 I'd say the edge sensitivity that Couse by curve screen could be solved with a software update. Personally I prefer curved screen is it made the phone more boardless.

Love the aesthetics of the 7 pro, which is why mine is coming tomorrow. I waited for the non-keynote and was underwhelmed by the style of the 7t. 7 pro will be my phone until at least the 8t

Jorge Martinez I bought the iPhone X back in Dec. 2017 and while I don’t regret it, it meets everything I need, but it wasn’t the smartest option especially for the price. At this point it’ll serve me for a very long time, but it’s the last iPhone I might ever have.

It all started when I got into video editing and didn’t like my 2015 MacBook Pro and built a PC for 4K editing and maximize my dollar’s potential. Now I’m a spec nerd for everything I consider purchasing
Everyone is entitled to give out opinions. Fact is 7pro looks much more exclusive and have gorgeous display. I'll choose 7pro anyday over 7T

Both are 🔥🔥🔥 so 🤷🏿♂️ Depends on if you want a flat screen or don't mind the curve and prefer a no notch display.
That side by side photo looked much better on the 7T. Dynamic range is was stood out most and it was a little more vibrant. Not mad as I can't stand hole punches and notches, so I'm perfectly happy with my 7 Pro and HTC U12 plus.
I was waiting for this phone to be announced... Honestly the tear drop is enough for me to choose the 7Pro. With that being said I don't like the circle camera design and the fact that the battery life is not better then the Pro that has a bigger battery at a higher resolution. The best part of the 7T to me is the flat screen, but for a different reason... accidental touch inputs. I have the S10+ with the higher sensitivity feature turned on and I still run into issues. Also there would be better screen protectors on the 7T being a flat display.
Too many cons:
1) Tear drop
2) Lower screen resolution
3) Same battery results
4) Camera protrusion

I have both device..... but wid 7 pro no regret .... because 7 pro has better display, better battery, same camera, better resolution, notchless display, better response time in 7 pro than 7t... better in looks and better in ram management...and main thing is it looks more premium and snapdragon 855+ and 855 has literally zero difference... even games like pubg opens faster in 7 pro ..... overall pay 100$ more and get 7pro its way better than 7t

I'm looking to upgrade my current phone, and the OnePlus 7T looks quite promising. Personally, I don't really care about camera bumps as I will immediately put it in a case, though this one is quite wide.

One of the biggest reasons that 6t has longer battery life is that it does not have 90hz screen. Drop in the settings back to 60hz and you get longer battery life
I have a 7 pro and I've tested with both quad hd 90hz and 1080p 60hz.. in 90hz I get around 9nhours of sot while with the 60hz I could manage around 10 hr 30 mins sot. So if I'm on a long trip I'll switch to 60hz but for my daily usage there isn't a reason for me to switch to 60hz.
@@josephnevin Cool that you have tested it out and get that 1,5 hours difference. I had my OnePlus 7 pro in active use 6h per day so that 4,5 hours more is great for me. I would like to use 90hz when i am watching some videos or playing some games. But good to know that we have still small difference between 90hz and 60hz

This guy didn't notice a notch. Actually OnePlus acted awesome not digging into marketing. They like having one device for a time being. And to those customers, who actually doesn't care about 100 dollar, they give an alternative design, which really feels more premium. Very fair deal and policy to me.
Stop with camera bumps all together and fill up the space with a bigger battery. 7mm or 8mm thick. No one cares.
This I agree with! I think people would be happier overall with a slightly thicker phone than the annoying camera bump. I always keep a case on my phone's until I have them in a safe place like my couch or bed. And that's only occasional. So, I am not completely bothered by the camera bump but it just seems like it would be an easy thing to due away with and it annoys so many people.
I definitely rather the 7t! No camera motor that may or may not break, no curved screen, Snapdragon 855+, macro mode, 30t charge, and it's cheaper. Hands down a better all around phone. I actually almost bought the pro, but one I heard the specs on the 7t I decided to wait. 👍 Great review

Thank you for the video! I own the OnePlus 3 and am in a desperate need of an upgrade lol. My job gave me a Samsung Galaxy A50 which plunged me into a new era of phones. So I've been looking for a new one from OnePlus and found out that they've come out with tons of new models since my dinosaur! I'm now considering the 7T mainly for the macro feature. These cameras are amazing!!! It's putting me full frame digital SLR to shame lol.
The OnePlus 7T is actually an upgrade of the 7, and not the 7 Pro.
Then the 7 Pro should also get an upgrade

I’ve had both. I prefer the 7 Pro. The screen and size is better for me. Felt more premium. The notchless screen on the 7 Pro is amazing even with the curves as long as you have a case on it to prevent accidental touches. I always use a case so that is a non issue for me.
OnePlus 7 Pro....is Pro in everyway.... notch less and curved display. Loving it.
I swapped y iphone 11 after 6 months for a 7t,,and its a delight to use.
The high profile camera "bump" is an issue even with a case because the camera lenses are more exposed instead of the more recessed 7pro. So the lenses of the 7t are much more prone to scratches and other damage...

Totally agree about the flat screen vs the curved screen. Curved screens are not a premium feature, they are just awful. Flat screens sell me completely on the OnePlus 7T. Kusos OnePlus 7T.
During the camera sample showcasing EIS and OIS I was expecting him to say more due to the inflection in his voice and then it just cut lol.
I just ordered mine but haven't got it yet. Not a big fan of the camera shape, but it doesn't outweigh all the other features.

The 7 pro is the 8gb RAM 256GB ROM version vs 7t 8 128.
I like the notchless design, currently use QHD so that would be nice, like the camera design way better, battery life is extremely important for me.
On the other hand the 7t is the newer phone and it brings faster charging, no curved display (I'm actually only afraid it's going to break like my s7 edge did), has the better software, better processor.
I really don't know what to do. Maybe I'll wait for black Friday...

I'm actually a fan of the circular bump for the strangest reason, before I had the 7T I had both the Motorola E5+ and the Samsung Galaxy A50, the E5+ had a similar camera arrangement but the bump is much smaller with only two lenses, it a big battery, and it charged rather quickly for its tier. The A50 had an AMOLED display with a teardrop notch, an in screen fingerprint sensor, and a triple lens setup along with a built-in screen recorder app.
I genuinely feel that the 7T is what would happen if both of these phones had a child, it has everything from both of them that I could have ever wanted and with some added features to boot, so when I look at the camera bump as well as the notch I'm reminded of those two phones which I'm rather fond of, and i find myself smiling at times.
Weird story but I thought I'd share how I feel about the big circle at the back.

I had 1+7 pro in 2019, i sold it. I bought 1+8T+ by traded in discount. In 2022 i also bought 1+7T Pro McLaren Edition. I only like back circle camera design on the 1+7T. I still prefer full screen.

I still love my One Plus 7 Pro. the macro mode doesn't really make a difference against that 2k Display.
7 pro will probably get macro mode it was there in Android 10 beta
@@abhijitbarash5316 The Macro mode on the 7T required a hardware change. So, it can't be replicated on the 7 Pro in software.

@@abhijitbarash5316 Using Macro Mode in Android Pie based OnePlus 7 Pro right now. Seems to work fine. Picked up the apk and loaded it in my phone.
Camera setup is ugly. It looks like an old nokia with the monster camera.

I'd still pick the 7 pro over the 7t Everytime. In fact, I just bought the 7 pro, I think the 7t is pretty ugly, and I don't like to settle even a little. 7 pro is still the better phone, my favorite of all 2019.
I despise notches and punch-holes and curved screens ... what a dilemma.

I'm still on a OP3. Yes, I know the OP8 is out now, but I was debating a 7 Pro or 7T. You just sold me on the 7T. I've never had a curved screen before, but it seems like most people don't like it.

I'm not sure why some reviewers are complaining that this new phone has a couple more features than their old phone. A new phone absolutely should always have things that the older phone doesn't, why else would someone buy it?

I don't understand how people think curved screens are distracting...I literally never even notice. Maybe because I've been using Samsung for so long before I switched to the OnePlus 7 Pro but it's a very nit-picky complaint in my opinion.
Also not having a notch at all to me is a huge plus compared to the 7T's screen.
I honestly do not mind the Circular Camera Bump on the 7T, however, I prefer the 7 Pro back design.
7T is cheaper with similar specs and in some ways even superior to the 7 Pro! It was a tough decision between the two, I went with the 7 Pro. Saving $50, a faster chip, faster charging, bit brighter screen was great. Having premium design, a better quality panel, meant a bit more to me.

I personally have OnePlus 5 and it working like new one after 2 years
After weeks of debating, i went with 7 pro. Retiring my note 8 for it.
