Between here and the south of Sabi Sands, there are a few loose young males. The Nkuhumas have one, there might be a couple from the Imbali pride, sired by S8--but "blood" brothers probably won't accept a strange male. Also, the young PC male, the young Styx male. Have to check for most recent info about which ones of these are alive/been seen lately. There's a young male from the Birmingham pride, too, sired by Ross males, probably.

Yup, when neighboring prides squabble, when male lions who are not the cubs' fathers move through an area, cubs are likely to disappear for good. Happens all the time, probably. No, they won't always see/hear/find the direct evidence, but .... Mandevu has been back in the vicinity, and he might've gotten suspicious of the cubs--might've been sired by the Mbiri males. Nobody remembers, right? Also, there are usually lurking hyenas, jackals, leopards who will happily snatch a cub while the mothers are running around, fighting, hunting, etc. Any time a pride moves, cubs might disappear for good.
Junior-Junior (Orpen) and his sister, 8:18 minutes!!! Another exciting, magnificent brother and sister to watch. They're 3 years and 7 months or so old. Magnificent for their age! And they're not 100% full-grown yet!

might as well enjoy the video of this cub because we probably won't get another. The Mbiris don't have male to protect them so they're vulnerable from all sides. They need to refuse to mate with anybody who isn't going to stick around or they'll be in the same situation again.

@FrankieKennethL: you are absolutely right but if it makes you feel better the likelihood that they’d issue correct information is subzero. They used to film Talamati and could never get correct info on them (every video for years and that includes the subsequent Talamati Breakaways). Then they sain in may 29 2023 that they will rename Talamati breakaways into Talamati because of the age of the oldest lioness while all the while the Queen T the Matriarch and founder of Talamati was leading the main Talamati pride and inly left them end of June once they started mating with Gijima’s because at 16 years of age and seeing 6/9 of her cubs all grown up and capable of mating she did not want to be mating anymore and then she went off to live another 6 months till last oct 2026 but it is because of tiswallo false info that the lion sands renamed main Talamati pride (because they literally think they broke away) ! Total a-front to Queen T and Silver eye Talamati who are the FOUNDERS OF TALAMATI PRIDE, literally.

The Orpen male & sister was sired by Jr Matimba Orpen Males, the next batch of litters was 3 two males & female sired by Zigzag Mbiri Males, I believe only Lambile sired cub with the pride sadly that cub perish ranger name it kupona. Im hoping new male or a coalition of males to take over this pride they dont have a real protector….

Mandevu had the snare incident and all looked bad, he lived on the outskirts of the pride and patiently nursed himself back to health while his two coalition partners treated badly along with the pride but he's the last one standing

It was Ncila with the terrible man made accident...longggg recovery..he n Mandevu left the pride , went to the Mayanbulas, n Kruger ,etc...now only Mandevu is back..Nicla ????🙆🏾♀️🤔
