    Your closeups are absolutely stunning. The Orpen male must be very gentle with the new cub for the lionesses to be so comfortable around him.

    Awe how sweet was that? I will tell you, very sweet!! Amazing to see the young Orpen male with the cub, and mom just chilling. So excited to see what happens with this pride I wish them well on their journey. I hope the cub makes it to adulthood and has a long life, for all of them.
    Thank you for this lovely video.

    Thank you, Tristan for this heartwarming update on the Mbiris🙏🏻❤️🐾 Like in the last video, it wasn’t easy to watch Shaka feasting on that hyena… But seeing the Mbiri cub is just wonderful! Just worried for the youngsters now that the Tintswalo Males are in Kruger’s busy with the Skorro Females. It’s truly amazing to see how close the Orpen Male is allowed to that little cutie! Let’s hope nothing bad comes from it🙏🏻 Let’s hope it’s good practice for him as a future father… And may he be helpful if needed, if there’s any danger to the little ones. Do you think the Tintswalo Males may come back at some point or do you think the left the Mbiri Pride for good?

      Orpen Male is part of the pride, so what could be the problem? It's not like he's a newcomer trying to take over the pride.

    • @hotbit7327
      @hotbit7327 10 месяцев назад +6

      I'm more concerned there is only one cub. Should be more. As for the Tintswalo Males, it would be better for Mbiri pride to have new dominant males (not for Orpen Male or a cub, though). Tintswalos and Mbiri lionesses are too closely related.
      Shame Orpen Male has no natural coalition partners. Beautiful boy.

      @regulamariakoerner-feierab2594 10 месяцев назад +3

      @@hotbit7327 Did you listen to what Tristan was explaining? Big lions, especially teenage boys, can easily hurt such a young cub unintentionally. I well aware the young Orpen Male belongs to the Pride. I’ve followed this Pride even before the Tintswalo Boys came to take over the Pride…

    • @hotbit7327
      @hotbit7327 10 месяцев назад +4

      @@regulamariakoerner-feierab2594 Tristan doesn't get it right here. Sure, there is a risk he explained. But the same goes for humans, buffalos or elephants. There are much higher risks around for the cub than the Orpen boy. Being only cub is one of them. Orpen is the least to worry about. Lions are clever beings.

    Who is the likely father of these cubs? The orphan male was mounting a female in a previous video and the Tintswalo males have been gone quite awhile.

      Female's stay pregnant for 120 day so take this cub is around 1 1/2 or 2months now.. so go back 6months and see what males were mating with mrbri lioness. Which was Tintswalo males and mbris male did mate with 2 of females

    If Red Road or the Mbriri males encounter the young Orpen male, the young male has a huge problem. He has been very lucky that there are no dominant males with the pride and the females tolerate him.

    That lion was treating the hyena like his precious. Maybe he has an injury or illness and can't hunt on his own. Lions kill and gnaw on hyenas, but don't usually eat them.

    • @buffiesilver
      @buffiesilver 10 месяцев назад +1

      He has an injury, on his abdomen looks like his intestines is coming out. Maybe from a hunt gone wrong? I hope he has a speedy recovery he has been healing for months now. Poor Boy Bless his heart. It's been a while since seeing him and Scar together, I hope all is well.

    And now Shaka moved north and with his brother killed the Guernsey male, partner of the Avoca male.
    Guernsey and Avoca were mating with a Birmingham Breakaway female and roaring, it must have caught the Mbiris' attention.
