This was the first time I have heard Fazil Say and was blown away. He emits so much joy in playing this Mozart concerto. I believe Mozart would love Say's playful and joyful approach to his music. I believe even people who normally do not listen to "classical" music could not help loving this performance.

Après un éblouissant concert hier soir à Bordeaux où j’ai entendu pour la première fois Fazil Say, dans un concerto de Mozart, je suis restée frappée par la grâce et la sensibilité qui animent cet extraordinaire virtuose. Habité par la musique il nous emporte dans une ardente émotion. Depuis, après avoir commandé des CD chez MOLLAT ( rupture de stock), je recherche ses vidéos sur internet pour poursuivre ces instants magiques! Merci à lui et ... à Mozart pour tant de plaisirs.
Tout à fait de votre avis ! Un très grand pianiste , au jeu subtil , qui exprime à merveille l'esprit pétillant de MOZART ! Et de jeunes musiciens à l'enthousiasme communicatif ! Une merveille ! Avec ce style de musique nous sommes à des années lumière des compositions contemporaines cacophoniques et des " raps "...à fromage !!! C'est du moins mon humble avis ...(et je sais que...j'ai raison , si si !) Des génies comme MOZART,CHOPIN, LISZT, BEETHOVEN, entre autres, ne tomberont jamais dans les oubliettes de l'Histoire ..., parole de mélomane !
Avec Fazil Say , toutes ces pages musicales semblent si faciles ... à jouer ! Mais que de travail en amont , ne l'oublions pas ...Un grand bravo à ces merveilleux musiciens pour leur amour du grand art !
Agree! On a youtube video, this outstanding pianist plays a cadenza of Beethoven's third concerto. If you haven't seen it, please google and enjoy. If I'm not mistaken, that cadenza is Say's compostion. Wonderful anyway. .-
Do not exaggerate please, it is not excellent (!) performance and he is not the most talented pianist on the earth. Terrible performance and mistakes and he is just PIANIST on the earth. It is over.
Say is far better than the small orchestra which never quite catches the rhythms of Mozart and Say's powerful performance. Say, I think, exceeds Glenn Gould as now the best pianist today, maybe ever, because he not only plays brilliantly but his interpretative ability is second to none.

Il doit nous aimer malgré toute la méchanceté que nous possédons. Il n'est pas possible de faire un remarque à FAZIL SAY, et ceux qui en font ne comprrennent rien de la musique.

Agree! I used to prefer pianists like Arthur Rubinstein for example, playing the most intricate passages unperturbed - but have changed my mind after being introduced to Lang-Lang. Of course, this is a matter of taste for which, as we know, there is no accounting. As long as the expressions are genuine, that is. .-

He's a super player but he shouldn't play Mozart. It doesn't suit him. Left hand too loud for one, it's also a horrible instrument he's playing.
