Eh no? Nagato was still a great threat even in the 4th War, it took Bee, Naruto and *MOTHEFKING ITACHI* to defeat Nagato. You forgot that the Pains are just Nagato's Puppet corpse and are weaker than Nagato, and if not for Naruto's Talk-no-jutsu, Nagato, having the Gedo Mazo and all Path abilities in his arsenal, will be an extremely hard enemy to defeat even if full body Kurama gets out.

Nagato doesn't really have anything other than Rinnegan Paths Jutsu anyways so we pretty much seen the strongest iteration of Nagato in the series (the only stronger one would be if he was alive and not nerfed by Edo Tensei during that fight)
It's kinda crazy that pain was basically the sensory system for his village. Controlled the rain and used it to sense chakra specific to every person, to know if a stranger enters. He does all that, while he's out bodying tailed beast.
Kakazu is clearly Naruto's pre-Pain warmup to learn. That's why he has multiple hearts, which would come into play later with Pain using multiple bodies. And it's clearly an inferior and more brutish method to achieve a similar end.
I mean that's kind of the theme of Pain. He's got multiple live like Kakuzu, his Paths are like Sasori's puppet, he's got a Dojutsu like Itachi, his Asura Path and Deva have explosions or explosion like Jutsu like Deidara, he sucks Chakra like Kisame, has godly connections like Hidan, and he's got the same motives and teacher as Konan.

A "Godly Power" for Deva could have been anything, like controlling other people's Chakra or seeing the future. And so on, Preta could have been physical force or actually eating matter rather then Chakra.
People really underestimate Pain. He bodies Sage Naruto with ease and even won against 6 tails Naruto after using a jutsu so straining it can shorten his life span and bodying the leaf.

Im so glad I found this video because everyone always fights me when I say Pain is a top tier villain strength wise until Madara comes into the way. He contends with any of the Edo Tensei and anyone we have seen in the series until Madara comes.

It was a weakened Konoha : No Yamato, , no Team Guy, no Anko and Kurenai, no Naruto, no Danzo, Tsunade and Sakura were healing people and couldn’t fight, Hinata’s father was fooling around etc... If they all fought, I can guarantee that Pain wouldn’t have went that far.

What i think pain meant by they wouldn't have won means that if jiraiya knew that pains power were known to him he wouldn't have wasted his time trying to defeat the paths and would have simply escaped hence the pain not having won.

Pa stated that Jiriya could have escaped even with all 6 paths in front to him more than once, which is pretty insane feat on its own. But I’m pretty sure the implication was that if Jiryah had full intel and knew there was 6 paths of Pain he would have came up with a strategy to ensure frog song would take down all the paths. It’s an omni directional genjutsu which doesn’t appear to have a limit to the number of people it can hit so long as they can hear it. Less likely he may have meant that he’d go after Pains main body directly.
Yeah Jiraiya is really strong but as we saw even with Asuma not knowing a users abllities is a huge disadvantage and can/will lead to death even in the strongest shinobi’s > pain just knew based off his knowledge of jiraiya and his skill, that had he’d possessed knowledge of the rinnnegans in workings he would have either defeated the puppets or escaped him informing others leading to Nagatos eventual defeat
One thing I would like for them to go over in Boruto is how is a jutsu actually made. I don’t think we ever got an explanation on that and I think it would be a cool arc to show Boruto or someone creating their own jutsu
@Khalil Wilson We kinda did and we kinda didn’t. Orochimaru explained how a jutsu was made just we never seen it shown. Like the other guy said above me, Indra did show a bit more upon how Jutsus were born when their story was shown.

Obito apparently taught him and edo Tensei brings back dojutsu of people who had it when they were alive, its how Itachi has his mangekyou despite his real eyes being transplanted into Sasuke

Thanks for the video! Pain is one of my favorite characters into the series. It would be cool to see a video about Itachi vs Pain. Yet, I’m not sure about a few factors. For example, if one of the six paths is caught in a visual genjitsu, would the others paths be affected since they share vision ? If so, it sounds like Itachi has an advantage. Maybe only one path is affected and/or nagato can utilize the vision of the other paths without making eye contact with Itachi. That would make the fight more balanced. If the paths are unaffected by visual genjustu, then pain would have the advantage. Regardless of how you shake it, it seems like Itachi has the disadvantage in terms of stamina.
I’m pretty sure ms genjutsu doesn’t work on superior dojustsu so he should be fine. But even if it does like you said it would effect all of them so nagato could see the inconsistencies within his vision and break the genjutsu. Susano is just chakra so he could absorb if he got close enough. Bonshu tenin might also work to just pull him out of it. Only way I see itachi winning is he is able to seal devs path immediately which is unlikely. So I’d say pain>itachi mid diff

He uses far more of the rinnegan than anyone else we've seen honestly. We've only seen enough abilities to count on one hand outside of Pain, and his attraction and shit ability is insane. it makes Sasuke look like a fucking baby using his Rinnesharingan. Don't get me wrong, they slap Pain. But if Pain got revived and got a boost just enough to keep up with Boruto Naruto and Sasuke in terms of pure physical strength, they're fucked.

I definitely think that the reason why the higher tier Rinnegan users don't use all the paths of pain is that Otsutsuki hard counter the rinnegan since most of them have Rinnegan which cancels out and the others absorb chakra or are just physically powerful enough to make them useless. Like the Human Path. Like literally Chibaku Tensei is the strongest technique of the strongest path of pain and Fused Momoshiki broke out of it in seconds. All the top tiers who use the Rinnegan not just sasuke prefer to use their main abilities like Madara with Limbo or Momoshiki with the absorption and reflect thing. And Sasuke with his teleportation which is basically Flying Raijin on steroids without need of markings.

Why is adult Sasuke always out of chakra when one of the Rinnegan abilities is absorbing chakra?? He has absorbed some of Naruto's chakra during the War Arc Valley of the End fight, so he can do it.

I think Pain wins the fight and it's the reason why Obito and Zetsu were shocked that somebody could beat Pain. Zetsu did mention how he never thought he'd see domeone defeat Nagato. They were manipulating him but they also seemed to have him do the Leading and the Chasing because he's .pre powerful than Tobi. If Tobi was that Powerful he wouldn't need someone like Pain to Intimidate the Akatsuki enough for them to fall into his authority. Pain Possesses power that can take on 3 Akatsuki Members at once. It's a toss up for me with Itachi. I don't think Itachi could level the village like Pain did or necessarily win the fights Pain did. But in a one on one Itachi vs Nagato fight I think Itachi has an easier path to victory. Obito I think wins hands down though

The fact Haku moves at the speed of light and still get jumped by sasuke while Itachi almost died to Kirin, which is lighting speed, means all rational powerscale has to be taken with a pint of salt. The information of the databook is arbitrary and Shikimoto sort of lost his hand in late series. While I wound't mind if Itachi and Pain were the peak of the setting Madara is more problematic than helpful for the end of the story to the point to would be better if he had really died in his final battle.

What i think pain meant by they wouldn't have won means that if jiraiya knew that pains power were known to him he wouldn't have wasted his time trying to defeat the paths and would have simply escaped hence the pain not having won.
I always took it to mean if he knew the six paths were corpses he never would’ve bothered with them and attacked Nagato directly.

It’s an omni directional genjutsu which doesn’t appear to have a limit to the number of people it can hit so long as they can hear it.

Yeah Jiraiya is really strong but as we saw even with Asuma not knowing a users abllities is a huge disadvantage and can/will lead to death even in the strongest shinobi’s > pain just knew based off his knowledge of jiraiya and his skill, that had he’d possessed knowledge of the rinnnegans in workings he would have either defeated the puppets or escaped him informing others leading to Nagatos eventual defeat

It would be cool to see a video about Itachi vs Pain. Yet, I’m not sure about a few factors. For example, if one of the six paths is caught in a visual genjitsu, would the others paths be affected since they share vision ? If so, it sounds like Itachi has an advantage. Maybe only one path is affected and/or nagato can utilize the vision of the other paths without making eye contact with Itachi. That would make the fight more balanced. If the paths are unaffected by visual genjustu, then pain would have the advantage. Regardless of how you shake it, it seems like Itachi has the disadvantage in terms of stamina.
I’m pretty sure ms genjutsu doesn’t work on superior dojustsu so he should be fine. But even if it does like you said it would effect all of them so nagato could see the inconsistencies within his vision and break the genjutsu. Susano is just chakra so he could absorb if he got close enough. Bonshu tenin might also work to just pull him out of it. Only way I see itachi winning is he is able to seal devs path immediately which is unlikely. So I’d say pain>itachi mid diff

I definitely think that the reason why the higher tier Rinnegan users don't use all the paths of pain is that Otsutsuki hard counter the rinnegan since most of them have Rinnegan which cancels out and the others absorb chakra or are just physically powerful enough to make them useless. Like the Human Path. Like literally Chibaku Tensei is the strongest technique of the strongest path of pain and Fused Momoshiki broke out of it in seconds. All the top tiers who use the Rinnegan not just sasuke prefer to use their main abilities like Madara with Limbo or Momoshiki with the absorption and reflect thing. And Sasuke with his teleportation which is basically Flying Raijin on steroids without need of markings.

Why is adult Sasuke always out of chakra when one of the Rinnegan abilities is absorbing chakra?? He has absorbed some of Naruto's chakra during the War Arc Valley of the End fight, so he can do it.
At least in boruto teleporting between entire dimensions and time spaces takes a lot of chakra now if he was just shaping places with his sword it wouldn't take as much. He doesn't absorb chakra usually witch is weird but he also doesn't soul steal or the animal summons so idk

I think Pain wins the fight and it's the reason why Obito and Zetsu were shocked that somebody could beat Pain. Zetsu did mention how he never thought he'd see domeone defeat Nagato. They were manipulating him but they also seemed to have him do the Leading and the Chasing because he's .pre powerful than Tobi. If Tobi was that Powerful he wouldn't need someone like Pain to Intimidate the Akatsuki enough for them to fall into his authority. Pain Possesses power that can take on 3 Akatsuki Members at once. It looks like Obito was banking on Nagato's ignorance of him to manipulate him.

The fact Haku moves at the speed of light and still get jumped by sasuke while Itachi almost died to Kirin, which is lighting speed, means all rational powerscale has to be taken with a pint of salt. The information of the databook is arbitrary and Shikimoto sort of lost his hand in late series. While I wound't mind if Itachi and Pain were the peak of the setting Madara is more problematic than helpful for the end of the story to the point to would be better if he had really died in his final battle.
