You are right Dooku. Back before episode 7 was released, I thought the Force ghosts would have actually played a part in this trogily, of course be voices to guide our characters in their time of need. Luke: "Have you decided what name your new child is going to bear, Leia?" Leia: "Yes. Anakin...like his grandfather before him..." *Luke then noticed a brief disturbance in the Force, as if the spirit of a powerful man finally reached peace with himself*
Anakin loved Padme so much that he was convinced joining the dark side could save her. After his death he was able to retain his consciousness. However he had to exist for all eternity without her.
He was way past his mortal attachments by that point. Plus, everyone simply returns to the Force after death. Being one with the Force IS being with Padmè.
Anakin Solo had much of his grandfather. He was strong in the force and very capable with machines. If he hadn't sacrificed himself, he would have been as powerful as Jacen and Jaina.
I wish Anakin’s children could truly understand how torturous and miserable his life was and that they would somehow get to know their father Anakin Skywalker- The Hero Of The Clone Wars instead of Darth Vader (Yeah Luke briefly knew him as Anakin) but I mean fully have the clone wars and Anakin’s stages of Fear-Anger-Hate explained to them and then the Suffering that his children only ever knew him as Vader,
I wish there was a Star Wars what if series similar to Marvel’s what if. It would be so interesting to see how Anakin’s story would go back how different everything could be. Edit: I’m talking about an animated series like Marvel’s MCU What If
There was, but it wasn't very successful. It had Han solo crashing on earth, getting killed by Indians, and being discovered by Indiana Jones. It also had a story where Luke failed to blow up the death star, Leia joined the Empire after being captured, and Yoda throwing the death star into coruscant.
my brother, I agree with you but kenobi has been out for about 32 hours by now and I've already seen so many people acting like it is pure dog shit. The fanbase hates everything that isn't exactly like their fan fictions, same shit with halo, fallout, and to a lesser degree marvel. It would be cool to see a star wars what if but the fanbase would rip it to shreds if it isn't just a copy paste of like the most popular fan what if's.
We don't need it. What we need is for Disney to continue producing expanded universe material beyond SWTOR. Comics, books and games. If they want money, that's where the money is.
@@Sumschmuck oh yeah I remember those books. I more meant like an animated series. Luke failing to blow up the Death Star was interesting, but the rest of the book is messy. Yoda is cool killing billions of people on Coruscant? Not to mention Star Wars kind of revolves around destiny and propechies, and these stories kind of directly violate that. I still think more minor stories would be interesting however.
@@ratbro8153 yeah, sadly that’s almost always the case with all fanbases. Certain pieces of content divide fans, and if anything doesn’t match up with the original image then people would get mad. Like if in a story they offer Vader in a way similar to Ultron killing Thanos with 5 infinity stones then people would be really mad. Some things like what if Qui Gon trained Anakin or what if Count Dooku was spared would be interesting.
Anakin: So, Obi-Wan, you never told me how that fight with Grievous went. Think it's time we make up for lost time? Obi-Wan: Well, first he had his bodyguards after me, but I crushed them with a beam. Then he came after me himself with a lightsaber held by each of his four hands. Shortly after I cut two off, my troops came and took out his battle droids and he used this as a chance to escape on a wheel bike. Fortunately I had a varactyl nearby willing to help. Anakin: You always did have a way with animals, Master. So then what? Obi-Wan: I managed to catch up to him and jumped him, throwing us off his bike. We traded punches until I found myself hanging on the edge of a platform. Before he could throw me off, I called a nearby blaster to me and fired at his organics... Anakin: A blaster? Wait a minute! You always told me that blasters were clumsy, random, and uncivilized. Why'd you use that instead of your lightsaber? Obi-Wan: I...didn't have my lightsaber. I dropped it during the chase. Anakin: You lost your lightsaber?! After ten years of lecturing me 'This weapon is your life. Never lose it'. And you drop yours?! Obi-Wan: I'm never going to hear the end this, am I? Anakin: Not till the end of time, Master.
Now I wonder if Anakin's force ghost appearances will be expanded upon in Canon, considering the upcoming Ashoka series and the potential for him to make appearances to his former apprentice as a force ghost.
An interesting theory to think about for me at least is Anakin’s force ghost asking for forgiveness for his misdeeds but at the same exact time Vaders wraith haunting her which can explain why she wasn’t forgiving him at least because both things were happening at the same time but being haunted by vaders wraith was more powerful to her
Well at least she forgave him when she found out that he was a slave as a child, and had to watch his mother die which of course would make almost anyone grow hate within themself which would lead to the dark side. I always wonder if Anakin had been taken to Coruscant as a baby like other Jedi if he would’ve turned out differently since he wouldn’t have grown up a slave to fuel his hate.
I hate so much that Force Ghost Anakin/Luke didn’t have more time together. Dude, you just found out that the dad you saved is still alive, you can finally talk to him without barriers of a mechanical suit, the empire, the emperor, everything, and they never seem to directly talk afterward. @@East_Coast_Toasty_Boy You gotta understand the difference between actual force ghosts/spirits and force visions. The latter is not the actual consciousness of an individual, just a projection created by the force itself to pass important messages to force users. In the disney canon the whills made such a light side projection of the grand inquisitor for Kanan. It wasn't really him of course, he never returned to the light. Same in Legends canon with force projections of Mara Jade and Jacen Solo in Fate of The Jedi. None of them ever learned how to communicate with the living. Cade also had a vision of Mara Jade, it wasn't her force ghost, she never turned into one. The only actual force ghosts Cade spoke with were Luke Skywalker ans his father Kol Skywalker. That's it. If Anakin still existed during LOTF, Jacen would not turn to the dark.
@@emzonik8851 Oh, that is interesting- I never knew that specific nuance. Anakin's ghost while helping Jacen against the Supreme Yuuzhan Vong: "Now, plant your feet...Grit your teeth... AND EAT THAT HORSE" Jacen: *Unleashes his full power, defeating the Vong and saving the Galaxy* "Horse...eaten..."
It's very sweet that Anakin really tried his best to repair what he did as Vader. As well as guiding his grandson, to save the galaxy. Shows how good of a person he actually was.
Yeah, then his son died because he used too many "force", his daughter died when she still fighting the "empire", his grandchild died because he gave his "life energy" to Rey Palpatine and this Palaptine claimed the name of Skywalker. What a happy ending!
Its actually nice to see that he tried to correct things with his children as much as he could. knowing what he had done shows that he was still human after all :D
Come to think of it, Anakin appearing as a Force Ghost to Luke would actually be a great opportunity for Hayden Christenson to finally to don the Jedi Robes again and provide some additional closure to Anakin's arc (espeically now that they have finally showed that they are willing to work with him again.)

It's going to be really interesting to see what Anakin's interaction with Ahsoka will be like in the Ahsoka series assuming he will appear as a force ghost (which he most likely will). I'll also point out that I don't think Ahsoka held much hatred to him after he became Vader as she felt a lot of guilt for not being there for him enough to prevent his fall.
Ahsoka is an interesting character, to say the least. She has the skills of Anakin Skywalker and the patience of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Honestly, I wouldn't see her feeling hatred towards Anakin. If anything, I think if she were to interact with Anakin's force ghost, she would finally have some closure. +1

Killing Palpatine In ROTJ is not the redemption I thought it was for a long time. After seeing him cut his way through classrooms of toddlers, it seems rather unfair he got to move on and join the Jedi as a force ghost.

2:04 Leia was quite harsh with him. Anakin had stopped being in control after he was burned. Vader took over after that. This is, in my opinion, made clear by Vader referring to Anakin in the 3rd person and saying he was dead. I believe Vader was, in a way, a completely different persona. A bit like multiple personality disorder.
They're one and the same imo. Anakin is still responsible for so many deaths and pain to others. Not just leia. I'm just glad she finally forgave him on her death bed. I don't think she was being petty at all. She barely knew the man. She just knew how much of a monster he was. Luke actually had the chance to talk to him as a son.
@@anthonyt1t5 This. I'm all for second chances and redemption, but I'm with Leia on this one. What happened to Anakin was absolutely horrible and should not be downplayed, but the fact remains that he caused so much suffering across the galaxy for decades that it would be pointless to even try to measure it. He was a broken man, but he was also an inhuman monster. Still, I am glad that she did eventually forgive him.
I agree Leia was indeed harsh to the man who killed billions of innocent people. It's not like Anakin needs to suffer for eternity to even begin atoning for that but whatever lol
It is a pity that the meeting of the ghosts of Qui-Gon and Anakin in the afterlife was not shown. Jin was probably glad that he was right to see him after so many years and was waiting for Skywalker there besides Kenobi and Yoda. As the father Anakin never had. That "Do you think he will be alright?" To Obi Wan, mirrored with "Where is Padme? Is she alright, is she safe?" Anakin knew at the end Obi Wan was his Master, but more importantly his true friend, unlike Sidious. Anakin long term knows "there is no death, only the Force."
I really wonder if and how Sith or fallen Jedi who did really terrible things became one with the force. Do they suddenly realize their atrocities? Do they convert to the light side? Do they have to go through a sort of hell to redeem themself before they can truly become one with the force? And what happens with those who were victims of the atrocities? Are they vengeful or forgive those who did them wrong? Do they come to the conclusion that when you are one with the force, it does not matter in the grand scale of things? I always thought that confronting them would be awkward at the very least. It would be very interesting to know what they experienced.

The first one only did well based on the Star Wars name. But anyone else’s who gets the franchise eventually if they have sense and don’t want to continue to ruin it then they can easily just rewrite the series from the prequels on and delete all the sequel stuff and it’ll just be forgotten with the rest of the sequel merchandise sitting on shelves in discount stores.

The sequels are basically high budget fan fiction and that what that feel like except some fan fiction is quite a bit better. Sometime like Star Wars theory who even tried to like the sequels until it was clear they had no plan should get input into the series, someone who gets it and cares about the series and downstream just see it as a cash cow they can shove their crappy ideas into as they try to go out of their way to kill what made it work in the first place. I mean they didn’t plan it out at all so I don’t know why that would be considered part of a larger story if they barely planned it. To me that also means it isn’t cannon if the actors and writers and directors and so on had no clear idea where anything was going or how that even connected to the original stories and then failed to deliver on any of that. If it isn’t created coherently within the canon than it shouldn’t be cannon. You can randomly give them healing powers that no other Jedi used even the ones around for hundreds of years who studied that kind of thing and she randomly just has them without even trying. And then do a ton of other nonsense stuff like that. It seems more like they’re trying to invalidate the originals as much as possible to the point that channels like this are way the vast majority of what’s left of Star Wars interest is. Web searches have plummeted for it and each show does worse than the last. If you want to consider that stuff cannon go ahead. You can consider that terrible Wolverine movie where Deadpool is all bandaged up cannon also. I mean they clearly dropped that as cannon and even made fun of how bad it was and that’s happened before so these films can also be dropped because they’re worse than that film.
I still think more minor stories would be interesting however.
@@ratbro8153 yeah, sadly that’s almost always the case with all fanbases. Certain pieces of content divide fans, and if anything doesn’t match up with the original image then people would get mad. Some things like what if Qui Gon trained Anakin or what if Count Dooku was spared would be interesting.
Anakin: So, Obi-Wan, you never told me how that fight with Grievous went. Think it's time we make up for lost time?

But anyone else’s who gets the franchise eventually if they have sense and don’t want to continue to ruin it then they can easily just rewrite the series from the prequels on and delete all the sequel stuff and it’ll just be forgotten with the rest of the sequel merchandise sitting on shelves in discount stores.
@@omarbaba9892he’s saying to anyone who actually appriciate Star Wars and isn’t just someone pretending to like Star Wars who wants to shove their ideology into it like they do with every franchise as they destroy it as much as they can that series is not cannon and shouldn’t be accepted as such just because Disney tricked Lucas into selling by pretending like they were going to honor the original already created story. They should do that with the garbage feminist Star Wars fan fiction. The next one to run it should insult the previous ones and delete every bit of it.
