3:15 i would've gone top for one simple reason: it's pretty unlikely that a feeding vayne in gold will actually leave her lane, at least in my experience.
People still don't do that in Gold? I see the vast majority not doing that in Silver, with a couple of exceptions. I would have expected people to have learned a little bit into Gold.
@Breakin-Bad as someone who is gold ranked right now, my thoughts were exactly that: you should go bot lane and have the vayne go mid with malz taking care of top, but that relies on them not being completely stubborn, so I am not sure if it is possible in that situation.

I wouldl love to see one of these, but from an ADC perspective. I do have tons of games like this, but when you are the ADC your options are very limited since even when you're incredibly fed, you can't do split push and those kind of 1 v 3 safely, and it makes the decision making so different.
but as adc you are in charge of 40% of the entire game's players... if you get fed in bot it's exponentially faster scaling than anywhere else so really you just need to transfer your lead to the rest of the team
If you’re fed as adc just be aware of who can provide enough cc or engage to counter u. That’s all you have to look for differently otherwise u can 1v3 easily
i got everything correct holy but am still plat the reason is in this video i had time to think about what i should do where as in game i cant make such good decisions in such a small time

I would LOVE to see this become a series. Just this one video helps so much. I love asking questions and making me think, but also I love seeing how to win a losing game. I’d love to see how to play when YOU’RE the one who is farthest behind and the weakest in the game because we all have those matches.
@@christossaroglou7158 they usually do... i mean if we can win and 1 player in our team is fed and can carry they surrender at 20 if we all lose 2 of them usually hit no just to waste time. I'm not joking that's exactly how it happens on EUNE.
@@CNotLucky I see you're an EUNE player as well, that means we've had the same experience and in mine the most common thing of all in low elo is believing in a dream victory. Either out of stubborness (never give up bullshit) or because somehow the 1/10 you actually won when behind feels worth gambling for. People higher up the ranks understand that it's easier to climb by playing 20 20minute games and giving up the 90% defeats than 10 40mins ones where what you actually hope for is an enemy's blunder. That said mistakes in gold are abundant and if you're confident in yourself that you can punish effectively and carry your team then you shouldn't ff but do so only if you're in a position to carry it YOURSELF cause another thing i've experienced in below plat elo is players seeing the ff, pressing tab, seeing that their score is something like 5/2/2, pressing no and then expect from you/your teammate who's 0/4 to carry, yes i'm looking at you last-hitting kha'zix players; having a good score doesn't mean you're carrying, if one doesn't have a carry mentality they should just damn ff! tl;dr Unless your actual rank is at least 2 tiers higher than what you're currently playing against, ff is the best option!
This is usually how I play my Ziggs. Force the enemy to respond to me, and my team can do stuff elsewhere. Sometimes, I can really force a response by trying to push through whoever happens to be there, but that makes for some risk, as Ziggs isn't a bruiser who can use his leads to survive the kinds of responses that would be forced. It also helps that Ziggs is very well known for being dangerous around towers, so it's usually a pretty simple decision for the enemy.
holy shit you have a whole team at your will, that amazing, usually when im in your position they spam surrender, run it down or take my farm, or afk etc
I'm an adc main and I'd love to see a guide that shows a game state like this with the carry being an adc instead - I often think of how to make macro decisions to counteract a team that got fed but find that there are much less opportunities for adcs to do so. Like when we look at the moment zed and hecarim appeared top: It only worked out because jax is a bruiser and has damage mitigation, as stated - how can you overcome fed enemies pressuring you even when you win lane as adc, and how can you overcome unexpected pathing like the hecarim took? I've actually been testing new builds on lucian to solve this problem (such as DD and iceborn to allow 1v1/1v2 split potential), but i'd like more versatility on my champion selection and itemization for this role.
I`ll answer in all honesty. I hit most of the calls right except 2 of them. I lack the feel confidence in fights, probably need more experience. Been playing since season 2 but never more than 20-30 games a season for the first few seasons. I hit platinum 3 seasons in a row like 6-7-8. Took a break for season 9 barely hitting silver 1 in promo games. Now in season 10 i`ve been playing to have fun i still have some game knowledge that translated over time but it sometimes isn`t enough. Silver one atm. with a lost promo to gold. I`ll try to improve as much as the time allows. I look at skillcapped with confidence, videos like this make knowledge become accessible. What`s the right move goes to common sense after enough videos watched. Ty mister. ^_^
I made a few more mistakes than he did, I would of ported with my team due to me being fed which would of cost us the game. Surprisingly for being a silver 4 I am surprise to see that as Jax player myself I would of made a lot of the same decisions. Unfortunately I don't play Jax anymore I like to see something like this from perspective of an adc player solo que player at that.
Damn, your gameplay really makes those decisions seem so easy. Not sure how many times I've seen a teammate do a bad call/do something bad and I follow, only to facepalm afterward and go *man why did I do that? I knew it wasn't the correct play". I'm not sure if it's an innate wish to help people or not to get cursed at (I often play jungle and get flamed for things that wasn't my fault). Military also taught me that it's better if 10 ppl do a bad call than 1 person do what's right and 9 do what's wrong, but I guess that doesn't apply to climbing LoL games (: This video is super-educating and interesting, but it's still going to be hard to put the thoughts into practice. Just letting 1-2 teammates die because they did something wrong, not listening to their flaming afterward and realizing that you couldn't affect it (if so was the case) needs your mind to be totally clear and focused on the long goal. The fact that you made missplays and still managed to turn it around because of all the good plays gives one a bit of hope at least.
Thanks to this video, I realized I often knew the right play when I really take the time to get the right info (aka look at the minimap) and think. Problem is in game I just don't look and don't think, I play so mindlessly... I probably need to work on my mindset in game.
"Kaisa ults in and Hec fears me while I have four stacks of Kaisa passive on me and my counter strike is down for four seconds." DOUBLE KILL. I now understand why I'm bronze trash, thanks Skill Capped for this enlightening content!
Imagine being 2-2 in your promos to platinum, stomping the last game but them you hear "so we are going to breakdown a smurf game of mine so that you..."
Hi! What i'm doing if the enemy adc has 20 kills and my team cant defend a nexus and i'm 7/4 Irelia? If i go spit they can catch me up. If we 5v5 we lose. Silver 2
Even in Gold, 9/10 times it's because her team's coming. It's the same if an Alistar suddenly shows up to contest you. Maybe there's the 1/100 chance that he's got mad cow disease but in every other case, the enemies are collapsing on you.
You said we should not fight the bruisers from near? I usually on purpose go near them and throw my r and w all rlly near them in order to be able to do triple e triple q and autos is that rlly wrong from me? I think trple e and trple q makes a way more dmg than the way you said and this works againts bruisers very well especially if you have conquerror
And? Renek is still tankier and will most likely beat an assasin if both sides are about the same in gold. Bruisers are naturally tanky enough to survive an assasin's burst and can do enough dps to kill them quickly. The win rate gives us nothing other than knowing that the champ is in a bad state or isn't being played effectively.
SpyDa How is that relevant at all? Win rate indicates games, not matchups, lmao. A full game has more than just assassins for Renekton to stomp. Renekton's wr could literally be 1% and his kit would still be one that stomps assassins. I actually cannot fathom what went through your mind when you made this nonsense comment.
*Game 1* I was playing Shyvana jungle, and I became level 6 at 7:17. At 06:40: Ezreal was 4/0/0 with 45 CS and our Jhin was 0/3/0 with 13 CS + 0 vision score. Senna was 0/0/4 with 0 CS and our Rakan was 0/1/0 with 3 CS + 2 vision score. Fast forward to the game ending in defeat at 22:01. Ezreal was 14/0/6 with 176 CS and our Jhin was 0/10/2 with 33 CS + 0 vision score. Senna was 3/3/11 with 15 CS and our Rakan was 0/9/3 with 10 CS + 6 vision score. . *My mistakes:* - I delayed myself from backing at 03:40 to 04:18, because I thought I could get bot Scuttle Crab, since I had over half health after a full clear from top to bot. Got Scuttle Crab to under 400 HP (no smite) but then full HP Kayn appeared, and so I gave it up to survive. That was pretty much the only wasted time I had. - My 1st death was to a counter gank by Kayn while diving Syndra. Syndra's E canceled my ult while I was pushing her forward, resulting in no dmg from R and me missing E. Then after using my cooldowns, Kayn counter ganked, resulting in my 1st death at 07:44. We died 2 for 1. (Shyvana and Veig for Syndra) . *My damage control plan:* - Bot was lost, dragon could not be contested, enemy top was a slippery Vladimir, so I focused ganking for our best laner Veig to get 8 kills and 5.0 CS/min... (Veig 5.0 CS, Shyvana 4.7 CS, Jax 4.2 CS, Jhin 1.5 and Rakan 0.5) *Defeat* . *Game 2* And another nice ranked game: Kalista saying "ff 15" at 01:15 and Kalista & Maokai (supp) dies 7 times pre 15 min. While our Jax killed Illaoi at 06:00~ and I killed her at 10:00 and 12:00. He still threw that lead and our mid was only able to tie laning phase. *Defeat* . _I feel like too much is out of my control, when my silver player teammates plays worse than bronze players_ . /rant
The 1v3 fight midlane with the enemy team herald pushing the inhib tower was mega coinflip (a mistake), with the teammates so behind the enemies could have not used any ults and still won that earlier fight. I understand that you have to take those risks sometimes, but this was not one of those times. There was no chance they could have ended and giving the inhib that early in the game could have been the safer and maybe even the more gold efficient play - denying the enemy gold and xp in the perma pushing super minion waves midlane.
I would have fought with the team without recalling after baron, probably losing the game. I am so glad that i got most everything else right. Wouldn't have carried this game, but a slightly less hopeless one i would have. Your guides are super helpful.
I almost got all questions right, inspired I start a game, my team feeds harder then ever but I carry doing this and we win. Jk I get matched against a teemo as garen and hard feeds getting dived over and over... xD
In that match-up you should be ready to abandon some cs, just make sure to stay on the same screen as the minions when they die so you get the experience. If you play passively, the wave will automatically push to your tower and then the Teemo will be very exposed to a gank from your jungler and you'll have an easy time killing him. I do it all the time with Nasus, and that's how I win my lane nearly every match if I don't get dived by the toplaner + a fed enemy jungler: play extremely passive at first and accept I'm going to lose cs, stack my Q whenever possible without taking damage, then when I reach level 6 or when my jungler comes in, I apply the slow and suddenly all-in. Even Darius who many people fear I have found to be easy.
Love this video. I got most of the questions right and it kinda gives me confidence to try and carry my own games and ask myself these questions before making a decision
@Skillcapped I have a big question for you How can you control and stop people from going to lanes and just dying because there is always a fight in jg? if you split push your whole team is dead because they are face checking and if they don't face check they sneak objective like baron or drake so what do you do??
Answered most of those question because I used to play top jax a lot and my mind set is still the same: Split is most likely the way you carry the game when you are fed and a good 1vs 2 or 3 champion. Fighting 5 vs 5 is worst thing you can do because your team is most likely useless and you can't 1 vs 5 because the enemy is as fed as you. Rather split, pulling 2-3 people, have a chance take tower/run/win 1vs3 and give your useless teammates window to farm and be more useful is wayyy better. But I see that if I can do jungle better than other junglers, I would have a better chance to control the map, fed my self and my team so that I could have easier win but yes, good decision is the best thing you can do to carry game (you literaly can carry game every role and if you are plat or higher, you literaly can carry with support. Yes, support)
Can you do a guide on when to take baron? When is baron free? At what point of the game can we dps baron without losing too much hp and get killed if the enemies collapse on us? Is killing the enemy jungler enough to do baron? How much time does it take to kill baron (so we can know if the death timers of the enemies are enough)? I believe only few people know the answers to these questions and a guide about baron would be very helpful
It honestly depends a lot. Is your hyper carry fed? Do you have some kind of shredding/execution ability on your team? Do you have someone that can sustain baron? What people on their team are fed and were the fed enemies the ones you killed, for instance, if you killed 4 of their champions, but the one fed guy on their team is a twitch you can't see who is 20/5, you probably don't want to do it, unless you know you can stop him super fast when he shows. Did you put down vision around baron? Did the enemy have vision when/right before you started baron? Do they have a better teamfight and AOE abilities? Do they have a global ult like Draven/Jinx ult? Which then leads into, how healthy is your team after killing the enemies? And so on.
@@Pr0x1m1f1c4710n Ofc it depends on the situation but if good players can judge that it's time to do baron, they know the keys reasons of this decision. Basically you do baron as 3-4 most of the time, considering you have a tanky teammate, an ADC and/or a mage who can dps baron whether they're fed or not. At some point of the game it's dangerous to do it because you aren't strong enough to handle a collapse, at another point of the game you're strong enough to do it healthily and not fear a collapse, considering enemy jungler is zoned or died. I'd say it's especially a matter of pressure and position on the map but a guide from the experts is always good.
@@abdusselamzahma7474 Well, I think you're correct that you can narrow it down to some key points, but I still think it depends on a lot of factors. Not to mention that elo is probably the biggest factor. What I personally look for is mistakes from the enemy. Such as, being bot if baron is up. Shouldn't happen, but it does. Is it warded while we are securing it? No? Then we can probably insta-start it and get a lot of HP shredded before they come to check. Does my adc have rageblade/do we have shredders. And how fed is the enemy. Is enemy jungler dead or 2-3 of the enemy. and so on. There are a fuckton of scenarios where I decide to call baron and I'm the one that does it in most of my games.
@@abdusselamzahma7474 Oh and I should probably mention that the very first thing that happens in regards to baron calls, is simply figuring out when in the game you feel like you should start even looking at it. The first thing I always tell my premade is "we should start looking at baron". And then everything that happens in the game, leads to a potential baron call.
pff 0:5:0 teammates... thats cute, in my last games i had teameates which went 1:20:2 or 2:18:0 in the 17 min xD i would love to see how someone carry a game like that :D
Hey Skill Capped, I really enjoyed this video in how smart decision making as a late-game carry can help you win games. So far, many guides that I've seen are with champions that scale pretty well into the late game. Will there be a future guide like this/additional tips for an early game champ like Kled, Renekton, Pantheon, etc when in the same situation?
Do you think that this also applies to adc? I mean i had situations when i lost a game being 17/4 twitch XD my team inted really hard, but i'm no challenger. Is it also that "easy" to 1v5 carry as adc?
Obviously not, because adcs gets oneshotted if enemy assassin is fed or enemy juggernaut starts running to you and your team can't peel you. If you want to do damage as adc you need to be in aa range, but if you are in aa range, you are easily killable with an enemy engage or flash. So, definitely not, only bruisers top can 1v9 like the video.
Can you explain why you built frozen heart here? Most people would’ve immediately gone straight for steraks gage, but I can see the enemy team is all ad. But still, why frozen heart? A video on what to build as a bruiser would also be greatly appreciated since I see a lot of top paneers build botrk some games but not others. Thanks!
What are you doing if you cant dive the enemy laner to get the push/tower? or if they are just to safe to dive? Or when they have to much waveclear like a anivia or a teemo where they just kill the wave in seconds before you can really dmg the turret.
Damn. I have a big loosing streak on my Plat account but I am actually proud of myself right now cause I answered every question in this video correct except the malzahar bait on botlane.
Legit question here, how much does the champion that you're playing matter? I ask that, because I have a hard time thinking that if you had been playing a champion that doesn't scale as well as Jax, like Renekton or Jayce, you'd have been able to do the same thing. Am I wrong?
I had a game so similar to this, played Jax, won lane hard and every other lane lost. I did my best and pretty much made all the choices shown in the video, except the one about coinflipping baron smite. It hurts that you can lose off of just 1 mistake.
I really like these sorts of videos. Is it possible that you could make a video on how adc can carry losing team when top, mid, jg all died a few times in the beginning already? Thanks!!
I answered all the questions correctly and even called out when you made bad plays but I wouldn’t have been able to carry this game. Making decisions while watching a RUclips video or a streamer and making decisions in the heat of a match are 2 very different things.
2:00 Not so sure about "bruisers counter assassins" after this. Both same lvl and about equal gold. But Jax with botrk and fully stacked passive. Zed misses his Q which is skill he levels up first 4 TIMES, yet still it was close fight, had at least 1 Q connect Zed could have won. In a melee 1v1 aa battle against Jax. wtf
How do you carry games where your teammates flame each other/run it down. I see it happen to like 40% my games. Like even when I’m fed my teammates just get upset so easily and hate each other at the start. Would it be better to duo queue? (I’m in gold btw)

I’d love to see how to play when YOU’RE the one who is farthest behind and the weakest in the game because we all have those matches.
I'm a simple man.
Whenever he asks me questions, I answer the wrong one.
Interesting video, what i would've done if my team is this far behind is just flame my jungler and surrendered at 15 min, works way better.
Same
Flaming or going afk doesn't win you games
@@rufocs686 preach. At most all it does is self gratification but doesnt net u any LP
if i was in that match my team would've just surrender at 20
people surrender in gold? xd
cause people think its just a waste of time playing when they know theyre going to lose
how can the game be a waste of time if the guy in the video won the game. Good macro can solve a losing game. We all saw it in the video.
I feel like this way more easier with a split pusher like Jax.
I don't see how you could carry these teamates with a control mage like orianna.
I'm pretty sure this is only something jax, fiora or darius can do (a couple more)
@@oidipous1464 Quinn, Urgot and Kayle are good options too
This strategy is less effective for top laners that isn’t great at splitting. Depends a lot on matchup, but most bruisers are capable of splitting.
I think that's why their number one recommended strat for climbing is to play 1v9 characters like Jax.
@@Zilentification m a s t e r y i
Please mid and jungle version of this test concept
holy shit you have a whole team at your will, that amazing, usually when im in your position they spam surrender, run it down or take my farm, or afk etc
I've actually been testing new builds on lucian to solve this problem (such as DD and iceborn to allow 1v1/1v2 split potential), but i'd like more versatility on my champion selection and itemization for this role.
ah this is too good to be true in hell elo. 3 out of 5 of my promo I lost having at least 1 teammate disconnect or rage quit
It's like they are playing a different game. Great for marketing i guess. I wonder if they boost people.
@@hereticsign Nah, you're just delusional and try to blame your own shortcomings on irrelevant circumstances.
Wait, wait...:HOLD ON....Hector is not the one smurfing this time?
"Where would you go now?" ... I can see your pathing on the mini-map
Ty mister. ^_^
So, i got everything right. Even tho im not a top laner, nor a bruiser and split-pusher. Great Video with good explanations!
4:28 "what would you do here?"
..
"The right answer is, to kill the entire enemy team.
Thanks for watching!"
Military also taught me that it's better if 10 ppl do a bad call than 1 person do what's right and 9 do what's wrong, but I guess that doesn't apply to climbing LoL games (:
This video is super-educating and interesting, but it's still going to be hard to put the thoughts into practice.
Using teleport to help someone abuse their baron buff is something I just wouldn’t have thought about until now.
They waited for counterstrike to up...
Imagine being 2-2 in your promos to platinum, stomping the last game but them you hear "so we are going to breakdown a smurf game of mine so that you..."
Just have Zed miss everything. Kthx.
Hi! What i'm doing if the enemy adc has 20 kills and my team cant defend a nexus and i'm 7/4 Irelia? If i go spit they can catch me up. If we 5v5 we lose. Silver 2
7:40 you in gold everything makes sense, either kaisa is a noob and doesn't know how to adc, or what you said, the enemy is behind her
Even in Gold, 9/10 times it's because her team's coming. It's the same if an Alistar suddenly shows up to contest you. Maybe there's the 1/100 chance that he's got mad cow disease but in every other case, the enemies are collapsing on you.
@@Pawnlust why does a reply have kore likes than the comment lmao

You said we should not fight the bruisers from near? I usually on purpose go near them and throw my r and w all rlly near them in order to be able to do triple e triple q and autos is that rlly wrong from me? I think trple e and trple q makes a way more dmg than the way you said and this works againts bruisers very well especially if you have conquerror
"Bruiser will always beat an assassin"
laughs in Renekton 48.3% winrate.
*Game 1*
I was playing Shyvana jungle, and I became level 6 at 7:17.
At 06:40:
Ezreal was 4/0/0 with 45 CS and our Jhin was 0/3/0 with 13 CS + 0 vision score.
Senna was 3/3/11 with 15 CS and our Rakan was 0/9/3 with 10 CS + 6 vision score.
.
*My mistakes:*
- I delayed myself from backing at 03:40 to 04:18, because I thought I could get bot Scuttle Crab, since I had over half health after a full clear from top to bot.
(Shyvana and Veig for Syndra)
.
*My damage control plan:*
- Bot was lost, dragon could not be contested, enemy top was a slippery Vladimir, so I focused ganking for our best laner Veig to get 8 kills and 5.0 CS/min...
(Veig 5.0 CS, Shyvana 4.7 CS, Jax 4.2 CS, Jhin 1.5 and Rakan 0.5)
*Defeat*
.
*Game 2*
And another nice ranked game:
Kalista saying "ff 15" at 01:15 and Kalista & Maokai (supp) dies 7 times pre 15 min. While our Jax killed Illaoi at 06:00~ and I killed her at 10:00 and 12:00. He still threw that lead and our mid was only able to tie laning phase.
*Defeat*
.

Baron coinflip is a must in low elo, funny as hell
SUPER love these kinds of videos! Turn this into a full series please!
That’s why I’m silver. Most questions, I had no idea what to do.
Well ty for opening my eyes. Now I know if I want to carry I need to pick Jax.
Yeah I play assassins which are pretty hard to 1v5
I would have fought with the team without recalling after baron, probably losing the game. I am so glad that i got most everything else right. Wouldn't have carried this game, but a slightly less hopeless one i would have.
Your guides are super helpful.
Watch a Garen main just watching this
Then the next game they never teamfight and only split
and then win because its garen
This type of videos are awsemo keep it up
finaly, a game where its a smurf jax that carries
For number one shouldn’t you grab krugs before going to top? Just trying to learn thx for vids

The classic silver player :P
Not just silver, every low elo player.
Great video! I'm playing around Darius for now (Low elo). Was thinking if im ahead should i be building standard tank build or assassin instead
Question. As a bruiser like Jax it’s easy to do split , but if I was an assassin like Katarina, what should have I done ? Same score as Jax.
First for the first time ever xD
Love this video. I got most of the questions right and it kinda gives me confidence to try and carry my own games and ask myself these questions before making a decision
i got everything right, but didn't really know the exact reasons for my answers so this was a great help.
I NEED MOARR
@Skillcapped I have a big question for you
How can you control and stop people from going to lanes and just dying because there is always a fight in jg?
if you split push your whole team is dead because they are face checking and if they don't face check they sneak objective like baron or drake so what do you do??
Yes, support)
brother my teams make your "nightmare" team look coordinated and focused

Another lovely and helpful video Skill Capped you did it again love you guys
Really useful content, helpful format, and high production value. Thanks!
Hey thanks for the video,
Although I have a question,
could you carry this game if you were irelia ?
Can you explain why you built frozen heart here? Most people would’ve immediately gone straight for steraks gage, but I can see the enemy team is all ad. But still, why frozen heart? A video on what to build as a bruiser would also be greatly appreciated since I see a lot of top paneers build botrk some games but not others. Thanks!
I like how you call those "teammates from hell".
I had an 0/18 morde and 2/22 ahri yesterday on my team.
Great video with tons of things to consider. Would you guys be able to do one like this for jungle, pls?
I love this kind of video! Thank you!
More vids like this please! Very helpful.
Also this feels like every team for me lately xD. Unfortunately, I'm not a challenger player! lol
dude. this is just so helpful in teaching proper league mindset
I usually mess up on baron calls like the one in this game. Good video!
make more of these pls i actually feel like im learning rn
What are you doing if you cant dive the enemy laner to get the push/tower? or if they are just to safe to dive? Or when they have to much waveclear like a anivia or a teemo where they just kill the wave in seconds before you can really dmg the turret.
Damn. I have a big loosing streak on my Plat account but I am actually proud of myself right now cause I answered every question in this video correct except the malzahar bait on botlane.
Gets all the "what would u do" right.
In game : gets paired with monkeys and against tryhards.
Maybe it's time to start playing Jax again.
"wouldn't make any sense if an adc would just run at me" welcome to low elo, everything makes sense there
Great video, fantastic content! Now how do I do this if I'm playing support?
Legit question here, how much does the champion that you're playing matter?
I ask that, because I have a hard time thinking that if you had been playing a champion that doesn't scale as well as Jax, like Renekton or Jayce, you'd have been able to do the same thing. Am I wrong?
Really dinamic these kind of vídeos. Love it
Clearly i would loose this game, i love this type or "quizz" video, it's the best and interractive way to learn League

Excellent video guys! Really good game knowledge! Thank u very much for this type of vids. Viewer from Argentina here!
the big diffrence from bronze here, is that enemies listen to your ping
