Inhabebirderednone from your link this afternoon. It defaulted to a different code. So I deleted it and put yours in! I have high hopes - it's a lot of money for a light!
Your jacket is looking stunning! Love the colour on you and you look vey neat and sleek in leggings! Can’t believe you don’t like yourself dressed that way!! You’re an inspiration in so many ways. Thanks for giving us a glimpse of your sewing process.❤
The jacket is looking very smart Alex, I really do like the colour, it suits you perfectly. I also like the presentation, chatting to camera as you move through the construction 👍🏻
I love this chatty format Alex. It is great to glimpse the steps involved in making a blazer/jacket. My skill level is not quite there yet but it feels a bit less intimidating for the not too distant future.
Love the moleskin undercollar! The jacket is looking great and the color suits you beautifully. More than anything I enjoyed seeing how much you are enjoying the project! Good luck with the curated closet undertaking. I just switched clothes for fall/winter and was able to let go of some things, but more importantly I realized that already have a lot of clothes and the plans I had made in late summer, before facing the fact that I need to add very little, have changed. I only need a few casual tops, and to clone a couple of skirts that have gotten a lot of wear over the years and need to be replaced. It's given me permission to relax and now I can take it slow and work on garments that will last a long time and get lots of use.
This is looking really good Alex and yes, I do think you are doing the fabric justice. It's so nice to see it being made up. So much better than sitting in my draw for another decade. I love your choice of lining and it's a great choice of pattern, a real classic. I am looking forward to seeing the finished jacket. x 😍 P.S. Thank you for your message. I will be in touch.
That jacket is looking 👌, can’t wait to see the finished article. Thanks for the in depth construction details which must take up a lot of your sewing time.
Looking fabulous Alex. Very inspirational run through. I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts as you went through the process of putting the garment together. Thank-you 😊
The jacket is looking lovely. I have this pattern and not sewn it yet. After watching this video, I should pull it out and stitch one up. Thanks for the inspiration.
Obviously your sewing is marvellous as always. I love that you are meticulous- it really shows in your makes. I especially wanted to say how much I agree with what you said about how dressing too slouchy for any length of time affects your mood- I am exactly the same and glad I am not alone.
That was a brilliant video Alex; thanks so much for taking us through the process so far. A blazer is on my list of things to make when I feel up to it, so it's fantastic to get this insight into what is involved. Your Jasika (it is pronounced Ja-SEEK-a, named after Jasika Nicole) is looking so good. I can't wait to see how it progresses. Thanks again for taking us along for the ride. The merino dress is such a find. It looks so gorgeously cosy.
The jacket is looking great, it’s a really good shape. I feel inspired to get the pattern. The fabric and fabric colour are perfect. I also love the dress - unfortunately our Maze has closed in Bath so it’s a Bristol trip to check out what they have. Looking forward to seeing the completed jacket. Good luck with all the finishing touches.
Love the jacket so far Alex . You are clearly enjoying the ‘process’ which is very involved but it’s great you can just take your time and enjoy the piecing together . The pattern is made for you and I love the fabric and moleskin under collar which finish it off beautifully! The size is perfect on you too - you should be very pleased with yourself 😊xx
Great work on your blazer. Loving watch you make it take shape. Your pockets are beautifully done. You’ve made me think about what I wear ‘about the doors ‘ and how slouchy versus more thoughtful dressing affects my mood. Self care dressing maybe?
Wow, Alex, I am so impressed. Your jacket is looking great. I have the Closet Core Case course and I really must pull myself together and make this jacket using the Closet Core video and yours. I started taking photos of my daily outfits and I am taking 3 pairs jeans/trousers to the charity shop from the first 4 days of outfits! Thanks for doing these videos.x
Wow, it looks fabulous on you Alex! The precision of your sewing really shines through. Genius choice of under-collar fabric too. Really elevates it. Looking forward to seeing the end result.
I’ve been watching your videos for over a year now and have really enjoyed them. However the last few weeks have been extra enjoyable. Is there a renewed energy you have for sewing and style? I can’t put my finger on what’s different but I’m especially interested in seeing what your doing each week. Maybe it’s the Curated Closet project, but I’m not doing that process but I’m enjoying seeing it play out for you. Whatever it is, keep it up.😊💚
Your jacket is starting to look very smart. Isn’t it satisfying to tackle something a bit more complex. The green really suits you. Maureen o Hara wears a jacket like that over a red riding skirt on the Quiet Man with John Wayne and her fiery hair looks great with it (my late mums fav film). Yours made me think of it. Cant wait to see that finished.
If only I'd seen your comment before spending days on the sofa with a cold, it would have been the perfect film to watch - I've made a big note of it now
Watching your progress so far is intising me to tackle a vogue blazer. I bought the pattern and navy silk fabric many years ago, and life just got too busy for such a meticulous sewing project. I remember the second year my husband and I were married, I made him a tweed blazer for Christmas. It was a very involved sewing project. When I think back, I wonder how I found the time as I had almost 2 year old twin daughters and a third child on the way. I found your thoughts on dressing even when you are just staying home and sewing matching whatnhas been in my thoughts lately. As I will be retiring in a few months, I really want to not get into the habit of just wearing those sloppy about the house clothes. I can see how that would soon alter your mood. Again, I find you so inspiring.
Hi Alex. I think the jacket is coming along fabulously. I own the tutorial/course but it’s nice to see another person’s approach and outcome in detail. I have been reluctant to make the Jasika up to now because 1. I was a little uncertain of the “oversized” fit. However, your jacket does not look oversized…….just relaxed fit. The silhouette is very attractive. So, thanks for showing that. 2. I know I do need to make adjustments (lowering the bust point mainly) and although it is my standard adjustment, the number of pattern bits I will need to adjust is causing a crisis of procrastination🤦♀️ I look forward to more updates
OMG!!!!! I haven't even watched your whole video, but I am ready to get sew excited!!! The Jasika is one of my next projects here soon ( After the SA Tantum dress, and a crop jacket that is Style Arc as well). I can't wait to go through this with you!! I even bought the class from Closet Core, because I heard it was so good. BTW, I love your videos!!! I live in Kansas City, Missouri, smack in the middle of the US --- home of the KC Chiefs football team that is going to Germany to play in November. So hi from the home of great Bar BQ. I used to fly for TWA, and flew to the UK all the time.
Hello Alex Beautiful fabrics and looking forward to seeing more as you go along This is a perfect fall jacket that I know that you will wear lots You are doing a fabulous job Happy sewing🧵✂️🪡🥰 Take care ❤️
Very interested to see this as I have the fabric, lining, notions, pattern and course bought form Closer Core two years ago and have still not seen this up. Your video has given me the push I need to get the show on the road!
Enjoyed this Alex I made a toile ages ago but haven’t got on with it I find getting all the right interfacing puts me off! It’s looking beautiful Also loved the dress
Really interesting to see your process and progress!!! I have a few coats and jackets to sew coming up for our family trip to Japan next year for the cherry blossoms xxxxxx
OMG!! I received the lamp in 6 days, to Kentucky, USA. and no shipping costs!! I love the lamp and would highly recommend. I have been telling everyone@@AlexJudgeSews
I just got the book today and I’m going to follow your lead on my discovery of my curated closet. As a plus size woman taking pictures of my outfits will be painful to view I’m afraid. I’m going to face my fears to take on this challenge Alex.
I’ve had the Jasika pattern and even elements of the requirements (interfacing, tape etc) for about 2 years, but haven’t plucked up courage yet. Now we’re headed into summer again, so it probably will have to wait again … 🫣

Closet Core has a wonderful course you can buy with the pattern that leads you through all the steps.
I have been making jackets for more than OMG 50 years and I can tell your jacket is going to look great! Happy Sewing!
Wow it’s very involved, I think I’m too intimidated to try something like this. I’m very impressed, very clever lady 👌
You can do it!
Love the moleskin undercollar! The jacket is looking great and the color suits you beautifully.

Great job Alex, beautiful stitching, great to do a slower sew sometimes, looking forward to seeing your finished jacket, Deb 🪡🧵💕

Looking fabulous Alex. Very inspirational run through. I really enjoyed hearing your thoughts as you went through the process of putting the garment together. Thank-you 😊
I have been making lined jackets since I was 15 and I can tell it's going to look great when you finish. Happy Sewing!
I hope so too!
The jacket is looking lovely. I have this pattern and not sewn it yet. After watching this video, I should pull it out and stitch one up. Thanks for the inspiration.
Oh I wish I was a blazer wearer because I would love the making of this! Looks amazing!
Really enjoyed the journey, jacket is very impressive. You've also mostly avoided hair fiddling - brilliant! Well done you😎
I made a couple of jackets years ago and seeing your progress on this one has made me want to make another! Your jacket is working out beautifullly!
Obviously your sewing is marvellous as always. I love that you are meticulous- it really shows in your makes. I especially wanted to say how much I agree with what you said about how dressing too slouchy for any length of time affects your mood- I am exactly the same and glad I am not alone.
Beautiful jacket, Alex, very impressive stitching and I love the spotty blouse ❤

It’s looking absolutely gorgeous! BTW pretty sure the pattern is named for actress/sewist Jasika Nicole which sounds like “juh-see-ka”.
Oh thank you!
Looking good!
