- This first instalment of the Pull Up A Chair podcast is hosted by myself, Jack Williams also known as @beachbuminasuit.
I have hand selected 5 topics from a pool of entries sent over from the community this week. We navigate death, dating apps, being a product of your own environment, managing friends in far away places and moving away in the pursuit of solitude.
These experiences are just my own. I try to lead with confidence in these discussions to take ownership of my experiences and how they have made me feel. Everyones journey is different and to be a better, well-rounded society, I believe we must normalise the vulnerable aspects around these topics.

Six and a half years ago, I worked in a grocery store. I often admired a coworker, from a different department, from afar with minimal shared glances and small talk in passing. One day he came up to my counter, he ordered something and proceeded to ask me out, we have been together ever since. Three years ago I hosted a holiday party and invited a close girlfriend of mine and my partners best friend, I instantly realized they would get along, needless to say, they have been together ever since. Set up your friends, go up and say hi to that stranger you are admiring from afar, you never know what will come of it. The old ways have not died, they are still existing among us.

Some really true observations in this podcast brother!! "People don't want what they had before" Very true indeed. Also got the so solid crew line chucked in there too! ; ) Keep up the good work man! I am in the same neck of the woods too, so might cross paths and some random festival in the future
Met my now wife at reading festival 2012… my friends decided to camp next to them on the Thursday night and I met them on the Friday night and met her then… never used a dating app and not sure how anyone does these days
Now live in the Cotswolds and have 2 kids under 3 with her… still blows my mind
