kinda nice to find a youtuber (especially a cooking channel) that doesn't stretch the videos out to 10+ minutes with in-video ads, lots of meaningless talking, and stretching the recipe out to take up those 10 minutes so you can't just find the information you want and go cook.

Ooh with the base of butter and condensed milk the possibilities are endless!!! We can add any jam , nutella, ginger biscuits, bayliss, chocolate minty ( after eights ) etc ... so happy to experiment with this.
U r almost the only viewer- friendly youtuber that i know of. I like u just for that. And I can't thank you enough for ur awesome videos and recipes. I wonder how much effort of yours goes into putting out recipes that turn out so easy and inviting on the outer front.

I'll make this, soon.. I already made ur coffee condense buttercream frosting for my cousin's bday cupcake, I added chocolate to make a mocha frosting and it was so good and not that sweet.. She loved it.. thank u for this recipe..
Update: I made this yesterday for my sis in law's bday. And I added creamcheese for more yummy taste.. Everyone love's it. They thought I bought it in a bakedshop and made by a professional baker, but it's just ME! 😅😅😅 thank u so much for all your frosting recipe. thompson lorrie with the cookies and Cream one, I used just half the recipe and covered like 17 cupcakes and had a little bit of buttercream leftover.

Just wondering if the condensed milk needs to be chilled or in room temperature as in your very previous video,it was written as chilled and now it's room temperature.. please reply
It can be used both ways. Using chilled condensed milk will give a firmer consistency to the mixed buttercream as it begins to chill the butter as it is mixed. If I am using it to cover a cake, I'll use room temp Condensed Milk to give a softer consistency which helps me to get smoother edges on my cake. I might do a summary of the difference between using chilled vs room temp in the next Condensed Milk Buttercream video :-)

Once the cake is decorated, yes. It contains milk so it's best to be safe. I would leave it out for more than an hour unless it was a very cold day.

Yes. You will need to add the condensed milk chilled so it will be a firmer consistency to work with.

Yes, you can sway out half the butter for shortening. This will keep some of the yummy taste and add stability.

It's texture is the same and it holds up very well in cool weather. Like most buttercream, it will soften in warm weather.

Why no icing sugar? Seems like it wouldn't be very sweet or is that the goal? I'm not one who believes in "too sweet", because that just means I'll eat less or in separate sittings and that's a good thing too!

I use Aldi. You can use any real butter.

Yes you can make it the day before and yes it needs refrigerate because of the milk content. Bring back to room temp and re-whip.

If you live in a hot climate, you can use half shortening half butter but I don't find it necessary :-)

Any of them will work, pure or cornflour.
hi i have a question. if not refrigerated, will this frosting melt right away? i live in a tropical country and i have to travel for at least 2 hours to deliver the cupcakes. will this condensed milk frosting withstand that amount of time? thank you!
It cannot be kept out of the refrigerator that long in hot weather.

If I email you in fb my chocolate mousse in a cup would you be able to try it? I made mousse today did all the steps right like I always do and it was grainy so I tried for the second time and the same thing happened. I think it’s from using nestle melts instead of my usual Cadbury cooking choc. Also see if the choc seize on you after you add the butter and egg yolks

Yes margarine has more water in it then butter which will result in a softer frosting and it also doesn't harden up in the fridge like really butter does. I would use margarine for cupcakes since they typically dont need to be chilled.

Once the can is opened and the contents are exposed to air, they are no longer shelf stable.
