    Practice Quiz Questions on Application of Pseudo Force -
    (1) A plank of mass 10 kg is placed on a smooth ground which is being pulled by a horizontal force of 50N on it. Find the pseudo force on a block of mass 2kg in frame of this plank which is placed on smooth surface of plank. Also find pseudo force on a block of mass 3kg in frame of plank, which moving horizontally on ground which is acted upon an independent horizontal force of 15N.
    [10N, 15N]
    (2) A Plank of mass 20kg is placed on a smooth ground which is being pulled by a horizontal force of 120N. Another block of mass 5kg is placed on the plan and the friction coefficient between this block and plank is 0.3. Find the time in which the block will displace 2m on plank.

    (3) A right triangular block of mass 10kg and its smooth inclined surface is at an angle 30° with horizontal. A small block of mass 5kg is placed on its inclined surface. A horizontal force is applied on triangular block such that 5kg block will not slide on its inclined surface. Find the magnitude of this horizontal force and normal reaction between the two blocks.

      Sir why not acceleration of the reference frame can not be written as a=external force/mass..i.e.F/(m1+m2)....so pseudo force on m2=m2F/m1+m2... please sir help me

    So, answer of 3rd question part b is given wrong.

    Sir, if a simple pendulum is fixed in a car moving with acceleration a forward , if frame of reference is in the car , then according to him ,Bob will move backward and attain equilibrium for an instant .
    Then if frame of reference is ground , then also bob will definitely moves back according to ground. Then what is the force making the bob move backward w.r.t ground
    Please answer my question in comment only sir

      No it would not be moving backward wrt ground you will only see a pendulum being pulled with the string attached to car roof.

But they are wrong. These words are not said by me, in fact hc verma. When a man falling backward is definitely seen from ground

      Bhai its because of inertia of rest...Pseudo force is not a real force..It is just used while solving problems from an accelerated frame.....I had same doubt when I was in 11th....Good job

      If m relating the case here,
      If the person on ground see it happening then he is in inertial frame where no pseudo force directly applies
      And the given observer is on non inertial frame as pseudo force directly seems to be applied

      Yes I felt that. Really , he is a wonderful teacher. Allen students are lucky. No Physics teacher in RUclips could match his Knowledge.
